The Premier League have this afternoon rearranged Fulham’s home game with Chelsea, which was initially set to take place on Sunday March 10, to Wednesday April 17 – or Gameweek 33 to you and I. At present, this gives both clubs a pair of fixtures that week, with Fulham travelling to Villa and Chelsea entertaining Tottenham at the Bridge beforehand.

This news comes with a caveat, though. If Chelsea beat United in their FA Cup Sixth Round replay on Monday April 1, their Gameweek 33 clash with Spurs will be postponed due to Semi-Final commitments and will require a new date – this would leave the Blues with just one fixture in Gameweek 33, while Spurs would face a blank. The Spurs match would need to be moved to a new Gameweek as this was initially scheduled for the weekend. Bottom line is Fulham now have a double Gameweek 33 regardless, though.

As the fixtures fall into place, the Cottagers are currently one of four clubs that will definitely face a pair of matches in Gameweeks 33, with Arsenal, Everton and West Ham also playing twice. The loser of the Chelsea – United replay will also face a double, though if United win at Stamford Bridge their trip to Stoke – scheduled for Gameweek 33 weekend – will be cancelled, leaving the Potters without a fixture that week, as United travel to West Ham in midweek.

In other words:

If Chelsea win the replay, United have a DGW33 and Spurs have a blank GW33.
If United win the replay, Chelsea have a DGW33 and Stoke have a blank GW33.

With both Swansea and West Brom both facing blanks in Gameweek 33, our planning just got that little more intricate as we attempt to deal with the FA Cup fixture fall-out. Thankfully, the situation will be afforded a little more clarity come April Fools Day.

Parm, since you were asking before

GW32 or 33 looks like the best time to wc. I'm looking at 9 or 10 DGWers depending on whether it's United or Chelsea, then saving the FT in 33 to get 2 FTs, can then make 4 changes for no hit and so get 7 or 8 DGWers in for GW36 for a maximum of -4.

I'll just see how many i'll have out for GW33 and how much i'll be able to get for 36, all depends on the United/Chelsea result.

if United win I'll definitely be wildcarding since I have no Chelsea at all. I have this team in mind with 3 spaces open

2 from DDG/Ches/Fab/Boruc (if United have a DGW in 33 I'll get DDG and Boruc and swap DDG later, if it's Arsenal with Fab, I'll take DDG and Fab)

Rafa, Zaba, Azpi, Alcaraz and Wilson/Dawson

        Bale, Theo, Caz, Lamps, Fellaini

        Berba, Anichebe, Rooney

        GW33 - save

        GW34 - Theo/Caz to Maloney

        GW35 - Berba to Aguero

GW36 - Fellaini to Hazard/Silva and either Ches/Fab to DDG or DDG to Lloris and possibly Lamps to Michu

so about 8 in each for -4 and players with good single gameweek fixtures for the rest

That leaves 8 in GW33 and

Which is the best pairing for the DGW 33:

    a) Wilshere / Sagna
    b) Osman / Sagna
    c) Duff / Mertesacker
    d) Sidwell / Azpilcueta

The defenders aren't bad, the midfielder is my fifth mid to replace the nightmare that Is Mark Noble, I think Wilshere could be a good pick if he's fit.

yes, same for me, but will be aiming for 8 or 9 in each due to the fixtures of some non-DGW players (e.g Zaba in 33, Bale and Theo/Caz in 36)

Teams like Man city , Liverpool ...and villa for all benteke owners have very good fixtures in GW 33 , so maybe not best to go crazy just to get dbl GW players (who will be under a rotation threat)

Yup over both DGWs since City's isn't in 33

Much else depends on which team wins the replay as 3 spots in my wc team are open (both keepers and last budget defender) My transfer plans in GW36 also depends on who has doubles that week

Seen a few posts (one above) about loading up for GW33...Can you overdo it ? as in if you put too many players in then are you gonna have a problem taking advantage of GW36 as well? (unless of course you have a wildcard and can take care of both to a degree)...If that is the case then what would be an optimum number of DGW players for GW33...

well with this team i have linked it doesn't matter because it's largely a fixed theme team...but elsewhere I'm doubling up Wally and Caz this week...then Berbs for Benteke...followed by Fell for Siss and then doubling up on the result of the replay...-4....That'll leave me with seven for GW33...I ainy got much for GW36 though...so i'll be taking hits to make that worthwhile,,,,mmmm....

    @ Aqua

    For me it is

If United lose: DDG/Fabianski, United/Arsenal defender, Baines, Fellaini, Pienaar(could be a united mid if some really good candidate emerges), Walcott, Rooney, RVP( or Berbatov or I will keep Sturridge, this if I find a good United midfielder) and Giroud

    If Chelsea Lose than:
Fabianski/Chech, Chelsea def/Arsenal def, Baines, Fella, Mata, Haz/Lamps, Giroud, Berba(or I will keep both Sturridge and Rooney)

Steven Taylor, Sissokho, Rooney, Sturridge losing form or getting injuries could change the plans as they are currently my single GW who could start.

he generally says that Fab decerved to play in these last 2 games and that he's in the better form than he - Szczesny - at this moment. He also says that he's sure Fab will play in the next game in Premiership.

I think these words are somehow a result of Szczesny's fathers words, who attacked Wenger for benching his son in last 2 fixtures. He apologized for his father earlier, and now I think he's trying to show Wenger that he actually agrees with him

but even before I was quite convinced that Fab will play vs RDG. He kept CS in both games he plays and he was really good vs Bayern, in Munich. It would actually be really strange if Wenger drops him after these games. Especially that Szczesny is not in a good form lately + he'll probably not have a chance to prove anything during international break, as it seems Boruc will play for Poland in these games - at least the more important one vs Ukraine - another one is vs San Marino, so not really relevant or influential

They could end up getting shipped on the WC if we win and don't have a DGW.

we will have a DGW, it just depends on when, and we play West Ham in 33 anyway, I'll be keeping Rafa and Rooney and maybe getting DDG, just wasting transfers otherwise.

So FlappyHandski to start against Reading it seems. How abut a bit of a gamble and do Federici to Flappyhandski for a hit? And play him over Migs this week?

Look at it long term, he has an impending DGW. Reading don't like they have goals in them atm tbh.

I'm looking at it as well, will probably hold off and play Bego. It's just way too risky imo.

Chesny could easily get his spot back in a couple weeks..

Mata->Cazorla was a famous transfer here, but with the Chelsea potential DGW, stick to the plan or keep Mata?

Best Defender to replace Evans? Will have 5.6m max. Was thinking Jenkinson but no idea when Sagna is back fit?

    Rest of the defence is

    Begovic/Bunn
    Turner/Wilson/Zabaleta/Harte

    Thanks in advance!

Anybody have any thoughts on Man Utd's striker line up for Sunderland (A) and Chelsea (FA)?

I'm leaning to the idea that Fergie is going to go with Rooney & Hernandez for Sunderland and then RVP & Welbeck for Chelsea, reverting to Rooney and RVP for the derby.

    Anyone got any thoughts otherwise?

I'd have thought he would've gone with Welbeck as he's stronger and can put himself about more than Hernandez. Saying that he'll prob go Welbeck and Hernandez for Sunderland and save Rooney RVP for chelsea, which would be bad for me!

Guaranteed DGW for Arenal in 33 means Cazorla is a good option to double up with Theo.
The Chelsea options are still too uncertain to gamble on because we don't know the result of the cup replay.
You're well inside the top 10k, surely these things are blindingly obvious? 😉
Plus, your grav is too disconcerting. I don't know whether I want to hug you or shoot you.
