A goal in each of the last couple of Gameweeks has brought Andros Townsend onto Fantasy radars over the international break. Since arriving on loan at Loftus Road, the winger seems to have firmly established himself as a key member of Harry Redknapp’s first-team – starting five of the last six matches, he has also chipped in with a pair of assists and received six bonus points in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game, averaging 6.6 points per game. In this latest article for members, we take a look at the underlying Opta statistics to see how he’s been performing and examine whether he really is a viable target for the fifth midfield slot in our squads.

    How utterly embarrassing England are.

    I always look forward to our games and end up fed up.

    I'd be interested in what percentage of our goals are from set pieces over the years as that's how we always seem to score.

          Even in this game he rarely lost the ball, has nice close control and lays it off nicely when he has support. Especially the reason why Fergie chose him for both of the real games. As they needed him to help keep the ball up and get some pressure off the defense. Also a decent option on a counter. If he could just get himself half decent at finishing, he would be great.
          The main reason everyone does not rate him cause they view him as a striker while he has played a whole season on the wing for United and even as a forward he is a bit deeper.

      No but he's considerably better than Conor Sammon & Paul Green. In fact, he's better than a lot of players who have played ahead of him. Yeah there's a lot made about of him, most of it is exaggerated but Wes is a very good passer of the ball and honestly I think with him playing in the hole behind Long we would have won tonight.
