A goal in each of the last couple of Gameweeks has brought Andros Townsend onto Fantasy radars over the international break. Since arriving on loan at Loftus Road, the winger seems to have firmly established himself as a key member of Harry Redknapp’s first-team – starting five of the last six matches, he has also chipped in with a pair of assists and received six bonus points in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game, averaging 6.6 points per game. In this latest article for members, we take a look at the underlying Opta statistics to see how he’s been performing and examine whether he really is a viable target for the fifth midfield slot in our squads.

                  He`s lightning quick and got good strength on him. Thats about it. His defensive positioning is as bad as Johnson`s, but his pace saves him a bit more. He cant cross the ball (dont think ive EVER seen him deliver a good cross from open play), he shoots too much for his abilities, and imo is just generally overrated.

        Would've been undoubtedly better defensively than GJ at least.

        Shame that we've got A.Cole, Baines and Gibbs who are all up there with the best at LB but such a poor list of RB's.

        Walker's defensive qualities come into question too often. Has potential though.

    Not just me thinking this is the most challenging week ahead by far...?
    Apart from the Che v Man U dgw or not problem, there is Walcott, Michu, RVP, Aguero, Bale... Do I need Cazorla, Berby, Giroud, Chelsea cover? And as for some of my defenders fixtures.. 🙂

      I've seen them probably more times than any other band...in their various guises. Gedge still has it...saw them a year or so ago and they were superb. Latest album is great as well. He's still wondering who's with his girlfriend...all these years on. 🙂

    I've had it with him again, he swayed me with the Swedish result but it's a nonsense at this stage, he has to go.
    People are blaming the players saying they didn't have bottle. They were out on their feet from chasing the ball, did he bring on a ball player to keep the ball, NO, he takes off our most threatening player and brings on Paul Green instead. Sits the back 4 on the 18 yard line for 30 minutes and prays for the best. He needs to go, yesterday.
