A goal in each of the last couple of Gameweeks has brought Andros Townsend onto Fantasy radars over the international break. Since arriving on loan at Loftus Road, the winger seems to have firmly established himself as a key member of Harry Redknapp’s first-team – starting five of the last six matches, he has also chipped in with a pair of assists and received six bonus points in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game, averaging 6.6 points per game. In this latest article for members, we take a look at the underlying Opta statistics to see how he’s been performing and examine whether he really is a viable target for the fifth midfield slot in our squads.

              Walker is shit. Johnno is bad at defending but he`s their best option imo. Micah is way too incosistant.

                  He`s lightning quick and got good strength on him. Thats about it. His defensive positioning is as bad as Johnson`s, but his pace saves him a bit more. He cant cross the ball (dont think ive EVER seen him deliver a good cross from open play), he shoots too much for his abilities, and imo is just generally overrated.

        Would've been undoubtedly better defensively than GJ at least.

        Shame that we've got A.Cole, Baines and Gibbs who are all up there with the best at LB but such a poor list of RB's.

        Walker's defensive qualities come into question too often. Has potential though.

    Not just me thinking this is the most challenging week ahead by far...?
    Apart from the Che v Man U dgw or not problem, there is Walcott, Michu, RVP, Aguero, Bale... Do I need Cazorla, Berby, Giroud, Chelsea cover? And as for some of my defenders fixtures.. 🙂

      I've seen them probably more times than any other band...in their various guises. Gedge still has it...saw them a year or so ago and they were superb. Latest album is great as well. He's still wondering who's with his girlfriend...all these years on. 🙂

    A lad in the row behind me threw a bottle of coke at the Austrian full back tonight. Those of us around him quickly highlighted him to the stewards and had him ejected from the stadium. A nice change to the mugs you see in the prem/wembley most games.
