Saturday Dugout Discussion

Saturday’s events kick-off with a relegation humdinger. Southampton will consider themselves close to safety as Mauricio Pochettino continues to inspire some vibrant performances but opponents Reading are fighting for survival, with three points a necessity. Throw in the fact that the Royals’ new boss, Nigel Adkins, is facing his former club and we have ourselves a tasty scenario as our amouse bouche for the Gameweek.

Three more matches follow at three o’clock, with Norwich hosting Swansea, Stoke facing off against Villa and West Brom taking on Arsenal at the Hawthorns. Fantasy managers will perhaps be looking to that final clash in the main, with Santi Cazorla continuing to hoover up new owners this week ahead of his two fixtures in Gameweek 33.

Our Dugout Discussion chatroom is now open for business, plying its trade by soaking up your real-time reactions as every pass, tackle and shot is played out.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Anybody considering any West Ham coverage for their double? Pity Carroll was priced originally as a Liverpool player

    Football First game tonight is West Brom v Arsenal. I'm going to watch Rosicky closely. He went off after 80 mins which could indicate he is a starter for the DGW

      No way thats a good interpretation, it wasn't a safe game by any means. That was tactical.

        Safe ? It was Wengers post match comments that have drawn my attention to him especially playing in the hole. West Brom away isn't an easy fixture for any team

          What I mean was, he took Rosicky off and brought Gibbs on to avoid conceding again. It's got nothing to do with Rosicky starting next week or not.

    I said however much I outscored my main ML rival by this week, I'd take in hits for this week.

    He had Giroud and Lukaku up front, and double Stoke defence.

    If Suarez and Mata go nuts tomorrow, I might be going -32 😯

      I am happy with this week so far. Though I benched Snodders, so did he, and Clyne

      Plus he has Mert I have Turner, so there's a 7 point swing in my favour just off that.

      1. Trigg ⭐️

        Turner has been one of the buys of the season for you. If it hadn't been for not wanting to double up with Bunn, I'd have got him too 🙁

        It's all about Suarez tomorrow now, how he is still a differential in my ML I have no idea.

    This DGW seems like an excellent time to get rid of defenders for a hit....

    Begovic->DDG
    Davies->Sagna
    Fabio->Reither???
    Bale->Fellaini or should it be Mata->Fellaini....Tomorrow will help decide this.

      Davies to Sagna is worth a hit for sure.

    Merte has ruined my plans forcing me to take a hit - this might work as I lost a shed load of cash taking out bale. How does this sound:

    - gw 33 - Sissoko and Merte -> Fellaini and Sagna (-4)
    - gw 34 - Freeing cash to do Caz -> Bale

    DDG / 3.8
    Merte / Enrique / Zabaleta / Wilson / Demel
    Sissoko / Mata / Caz / Walcott / Maloney
    Suarez / RVP / Berbs

    Just to clear this up -:

    When you click refresh in the council league websites, it throws your an error after 15-30 seconds. But if you check back the scores on the site, you will see that they are actually being updated. So the refresh page is getting timed out before it can redirect you to the site, but it's still working.

    Of course, I will still attempt to fix it up soon.
