The Gameweek concludes in true style, although there’s no getting away from the fact that United’s vice like grip on the title race has somewhat reduced the anticipation of tonight’s Manchester derby. With little more than pride to play for, City will be expected to go on the attack at Old Trafford, in a bid to deny their hosts a victory that would take them no less than 18 points clear at the summit.

Tonight’s Dugout Discussion is now open, with our chatroom available to support those who prefer a real-time accompaniment to their live match viewing.

Despite the onus being with City, Roberto Mancini looks to be turning up with a 4-5-1 formation, retaining Samir Nasri in midfield but dropping Edin Dzeko to the bench to make way for a return for James Milner. It would appear that either David Silva or Yaya Toure will be charged with supporting Carlos Tevez up front, then, as Sergio Aguero starts life on the bench once again. In City’s other change, Matija Nastasic returns from injury to slot in alongside Vincent Kompany in defence as Joleon Lescott makes way.

United make an array of tweaks from the side defeated at Stamford Bridge in the FA Cup. In come Wayne Rooney, Rafael, Ryan Giggs and Ashley Young as Phil Jones shifts alongside Rio Ferdinand at the back. The likes of Antonio Valencia, Nani, Tom Cleverley, Javier Hernandez and Chris Smalling all drop out of the lineup.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Young and welbeck don't help, they slow down the pace of the game too much.

    Fab
    Baines/Azpi/Enrique
    Siss/Fell/Caz(c)/Silva
    Lambert/Rooney/Suarez

The only thing i might do is Azpi > Demel or Davies > Demel. It probably won't gain me points but I might just lose two on it and Demel is very strong for 4 out of 6 of the remaining GW's.

As a complete neutral watching this game, Man City have completely outplayed Utd so far. Barring a few counter attacks, Utd have been pretty poor and are just sitting really deep when City have the ball.

Also, I think David Silva would be scary good if he was playing in La Liga and not the EPL.

They aren't in much goal scoring form and have two away games to teams that keep it tight. Can't see either being goal fests.

They'll score, but united's goals can come from anywhere.... When you add in the rotation risk, I don't think either are essential.

    a) baines + fellaini + berbatov (for a -4hit) ( mert, bale, remy out)

    b) sagna + fellaini (mert, downing out)

    c) baines + fellaini (mert, bale out)

i'm tempted to do b) allow me put downing out, but already have 2 replies going to a) ,
    can baines make the difference?
