The Premier League have this morning confirmed a new date for Chelsea’s home game with Tottenham, which was initially due to take place in Gameweek 29. The fixture has now been shifted to Wednesday May 8, handing both clubs a double Gameweek 36 – the Blues travel to United on Sunday May 5 while Spurs entertain Southampton the previous day:

It now clarifies matters for Fantasy managers over the final few Gameweeks of the season and affords us the chance to plan with a greater degree of certainty. We now know that six sides – City, Chelsea, Spurs, Swansea, West Brom and Wigan – all have a double Gameweek 36 on their upcoming agendas, though Chelsea’s Europa League commitments are a definite factor to consider here.

With a couple of semi-final matches against FC Basel also taking place, Rafa Benitez’s side have eight games in 24 days from tomorrow night’s trip to Fulham until their Gameweek 37 home clash with Villa – also bear in mind that the Europa League final is four days after their game with the midlanders and rest and rotation could severely undermine our Fantasy plans, regardless of whether they get the better of the Swiss side.

With City’s schedule also affected by FA Cup Final commitments, Roberto Mancini can be expected to utilise the depth of his squad – as a result, Tottenham’s assets look likely to be of particular interest to Fantasy managers on the back of today’s news. Providing he recovers from an ankle problem, Gareth Bale looks an overwhelming armband favourite, while Jan Vertonghen’s recent attacking exploits are sure to earn the Belgian a bandwagon of his own as Andre Villas-Boas’ side attempt to clinch a top four finish.

As always, we’ll have Scouting the Doubles articles on all six sides in the lead up to Gameweek 36 but for now, this is just a heads-up.

Absolutely. Nobody has a DGW with a huge potential, really. Someone will come out with a big score, though - so we'll still have to invest in it.

Ah, what's all this worrying? 4 whole days between Manchester City's second fixture and the FA cup final? Aguero's like Suarez, he needs 3 matches a week to keep him fit. He's strong. #Agueroownerlyingtohimself

    Dear Mr Levy,

Toffees hard up for cash and Moyes might 'do one' to Chelski. Flutter £35m in Bill's face and see if he bites on Baines, Felly, Mirallas triple-play. Then spring a £12m Tekkers swoop and Spurs will be set fair.

Feel free to offload Ade, Thudd, BAE, Clint, Billy...

Let's not get silly, he's not Edinson or Radamel. Price probably won't directly dictate anyway, if he doesn't push for a move, he'll stay - Lambers happy. If he wants out, history sows he'll get out, financing will be worked out after.

Perhaps Demi. I see him more as a Redknapp target, so not quite so sure AVB/Levy are quite so hot for him. Obviously, if the price is right, he'll def go somewhere, not going to stomach Championship.

Looks very sharp upfront but I've not been impressed with his wide of three play (granted, only seen a couple of games). Might make a Defoe replacement, not sure he's for Spurs if Jermain stays.

    FUN FACT:

Lukaku has been benched against Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United; playing a combined total 70 mins over those three games. He has started in every other game since the Man U game (GW20).

Looking at this, I think Lukaku is a very good chance of being benched against Man City. In addition, he is also on loan and with midtable security, I think Lukaku's job security is very poor.

Having said this, if he can start in his next three fixtures of NEW, sot and WIG, he could still be a great investment.

I can't see myself investing in any Chelsea player for the double with their fixture congestion:

    21 Apr: v liv (GW34)
    25 Apr: v Basel @Basel
    28 Apr: v SWA (GW35)
    2 May: v Basel @home
    5 May: v mun (DGW36)
    8 May: v TOT (DGW36)
    11 May: v avl (GW37)

    7 fixtures in 20 days + RAFAtation = yuck
The only reason I can see Mata/Hazard starting both is because they are both BIG games but then again it means that points might be hard to come by.

Schurrle is one of my favourite Bundesliga players. Always a threat, constantly hovering around the box. He'll most likely be a squad player signing though. Plays the same position as Hazard.

Indeed Frats. Another pacey attacking player capable of running directly at defenders and scoring... sound familiar?

Hazard, Oscar, Moses, Marin, even Mata.

Hearing a lot about Maloney recently. I know he's cheap but a total of 102 for the season doesn't seem all to great. Are most people just thinking ahead for the DW36?
Also I cant help but racking up FT's, I need to start using some. Only used 1 for DGW this time. Shall I grab Michu this week? I have to ditch Sissoko. And any ideas on defenders to sign up? When are people ditching Zabaleta? Will Monreal completely lose his place?

If those are must haves then your gonna struggle to stick to the 15 players limit!

FOr me its Bale, Verty, Silva and Azpi. I would get Cech but I have Roubles.

        Current team for GW34:

        DDG (Andersen)
        Zabaleta Baines Mertesacker
        Michu(vc) Walcott Cazorla Fellaini
        RVP(c) Suarez Lambert
        Subs: Sissoko Wilson Pearce
        Bank: 0.3m 1FT

Thinking of moving out Sissoko (who has been a big let down..) for Maloney. Then bench Maloney this week.

        Any thoughts gents? Ta.

Yeah it does. Lost 0.1m on him already and he's fone nothing for me. Gonna wait till after the Citeh game tomorrow. If Maloney comes through unscathed, I'll get him in.

I understand the resoning behind waiting though.... will give it more thought. Cheers.
