We’re down to the semi-final stage of the first ever Fantasy Football Scout shield tournament, as four of the community’s top Fantasy managers go head-to-head in one last bid for glory.

This year’s Members Cup runner-up, Eunuch Jelly, is on a collision course with an old adversary as he progressed to the final four, along with Acquafresca – the victorious manager in that final. The Jellyman saw off Giavara555 by a ten-point margin in the last eight to record the second highest Gameweek score in the tournament thanks, in no short measure, to Joe Hart’s 15 point haul. Giavara555’s 12-point hit failed to come off and the former Fantasy Premier League number one was toppled.

Acquafresca’s incredible run of cup form continued with a 5-point victory over “Ricky Smokes Lets Go”. The latter decided against a points hit and that may well have been a deciding factor, along with Eden Hazard’s double Gameweek failure. Acquafresca prevailed, with a solid Gameweek helping him climb to 508 in the FPL rankings.

He will meet MrKK in the semis after his hugely impressive 93-point tally eased him past MileHigh in the Quarters. Now up to 607 in the world, the tussle with Acquafresca will surely be keenly contested. MileHigh can find ample consolation for his defeat from a superb current rank of 53, despite falling ten places in Gameweek 36.

The final tie was just as one-sided, with former Cup winner, Fuzzy Dunlop, demolishing “Tommy Tynan’s Left Shin Pad” by a 17-point margin. His 78 points helped Fuzzy climb to 2025 in the FPL rankings and he will now approach his semi with Eunuch Jelly with some confidence, despite being the lowest ranked manager remaining in the tournament.

Ties will be played over Gameweek 37, leaving the final Gameweek to decide our winner.

Just to say...

The likes of Wisdom and Shelvey have previously been according to 'bib theory' in the starting XI and not made it. It really means nothing...sometimes Bib theory is predictable other times it's just obviously not.

I wouldn't read too much into it.

Sorry for the long post, but let's take a look at Chelsea's line ups in and around the Europa quarter & semi finals...

Mon 1 April: Man Utd (H) Mata & Hazard both play 90 minutes

Thur 4 April: Rubin Kazan (H) Mata starts and plays 78 minutes. Hazard comes off the bench to play 25 minutes.

Sun 7 April: Sunderland (H) Mata starts and plays 89 minutes. Hazard starts and plays 84 minutes.

Thur 11 April: Rubin Kazan (A) Mata & Hazard are both unused subs.

Sun 21 April, Liverpool (A), Started Mata plays 90 minutes. Hazard plays 78 minutes.

Thur 25 April, Basel (A) Hazard starts and is replaced with Mata on 70 minutes.

Sun 28 April, Swansea (H), both Mata & Hazard play 90 minutes.

Thur 2 May: Basel (H) Hazard starts and is replaced by Mata on 75 minutes.

Sun 5 May: Man Utd (A) Mata plays 90 minutes, Hazard absent through injury.

The pattern I can see is that FSW has prioritised the league games with Mata and Hazard both starting, and playing the majority of the league games, all of which were 4 days before the Europa games (just like the Villa game is 4 days before the final) and contrary to popular belief in the build up to the final, it's actually been the Europa League games that has seen the rafatation.

This leads me to believe that the pattern will continue this week. Strong(est) team against Villa to try and almost certainly wrap up 3rd place, bringing Mata/Hazard/both off early if need be, with the final in mind.

      With just PHP the page will have to reload every time you rep a comment or whatever. With AJAX or something similar it'll update in real-time so you can keep on browsing/posting whilst you're upping comments.
      
      I imagine it is the latter, otherwise they'd have really missed a trick there.
      
      Either way, i'm just happy they are moving away from bloated WordPress components.

Should I do:
1) Michu -> Lampard/Cazorla?
2) Lukaku -> Sturridge?
3) Tevez out?

Afternoon all

Would love to break into the top 10k but not sure what to do this week with this team:

Bego (fed)
Martin R, Zaba, Sagna (O'Brien, Wilson)
Bale, Walcott (C), Fellaini, Yaya (Michu)
Benteke, RVP, Tevez

It's highly possible that Zaba will not play against Reading and that could also apply to Tevez/yaya!

OPtions:
1. Do nothing
2. Yaya--> Lamps
3. Tevez--> Sturridge
4. Yaya+ Tevez--> Lamps + Sturridge

Any thoughts?
