Having played a pivotal role in Liverpool’s 3-1 destruction of Fulham last Sunday afternoon, Philippe Coutinho has made his way onto radars as Fantasy managers gear up for the final Gameweek of the season. Already, the young Brazilian has earned over 23,000 new owners in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game – more than any other midfielder – as the Merseyside outfit prepare to welcome relegated QPR to Anfield.

In this latest article for Members, we break down the statistics to compare his displays over the past six Gameweeks to other in-form midfielders and also assess Coutinho’s impact in recent matches without the suspended Luis Suarez.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

1st game and last game of the season always the toughest, 1st game cos there's no form to go on, except pre-season, which is often misleading. Last game cos of so many meaningless games, 3 teams with something to play for this year...... meh

It's an embarrassment that they will finish above us this year. It's a testament to how good Wenger is really. How they've managed it with the squad they've got is ridiculous.

I think he's done well. If we beat Sunderland, he'll beat our record of highest ever points total in the PL era all whilst having such a bad start and losing our 2 best players (Modric & vDV).

Most Spurs fans would have been very happy with 5th at the start of the season.

For a first season with us, i think he's been excellent. He inherited a worse squad than Redknapp did and still managed more points. In the season Redknapp got CL our squad was probably 2nd strongest in the league but he was a tactical moron.

Fool. Lloris has earnt us as many points as Bale has.

And as someone who has watched and analysed every Spurs match, if we were a one man team, that one man would be Dembele.

              So don't be so ignorant.

I really rate AVB and think he's doing a good job for you but sure most Spurs fans won't be happy with 5th. Never any chance of you finishing any lower than that.

In hindsight none of us will be, but at the start of the season after losing our two best players, AvB having a crap reputation after leaving Chelsea and nobody knowing that Bale would be anything like he is now. I think we'd have all taken it. Nobody would have thought we'd bring it to the last day of the season, anyway.

Worth mentioning nobody thought Dembele would become statistically the best CM in the league either.

Ole was an impact player and played second fiddle to Cole for a reason. Cole led the line like an absolute beast.

I don't think Rio and Vidic together trump the 1993 and 1995 double winning (c) and the 1999 treble winning stalwart.

Ole was more than that but we'll leave it. Cole wasted quite a few chances and his partnership with Yorke was what elevated him imo
Rio has been great for 10 years and Vidic was the undisputed best CB for 2 seasons. Not much in it sure but my preference is for the pair

Having watched Michu in Spain I knew he had a lot of talent but I thought he'd take longer to adjust to the EPL than he did. So that was a big surprise. I never expected the haul that Benteke got this season either.

Expected more from Cisse and Ba this season.

if paul scholes and david beckham had done a john woo and switched faces before they entered the limelight, scholes would now be as famous as, i dunno, let's say will smith. beckham tho wudda slunk into obscurity like he were joseph fritzl's redheaded stepchild

i see your point but scholes actively shunned the spotlight too. he could have been as big as rooney with his sponsorship deals and all that but chose to ignore all that side of the game. beckham would have still been big as he still would have tried to marry someone big and get himself in the papers as much as possible

    De Gea

    Luiz, Kompany, Davies (Sagna, Samba)

    Bale, Maloney, Nasri, Michu (Fellaini)

    RVP, Sturridge, Tevez

    Which option is best:

    1. DeGea to Reina
    2. Fellaini to Coutinho
    3. Both 1 & 2 for a -4
    4. Tevez and Maloney to Adebayor/Carroll and Coutinho (-4)

I think Bent may be a little cheaper if he is not in a championship team

Worth a look next season if that happens, and Colochini stays.......mmmmmmm and Pardew goes

12 for a midfielder? Really? I can see Bale starting at 11...

Didn't Gerrard and Lamps used to be around 11.5 ->12?

Could see Bale even being higher if we take RVP pricing as an example

Gerrard and Lampard were both 12 back in the day and Bale's outscored both of them in every season bar one of Lampard's. And its not like you can see it as a fluke season.

Will Bale actually be worth it? For captaincy alone possibly, but only if he does push on a gear again next year.

Depends if he ends up on penalties or not.

    Afternoon chaps,

Had a day off. Got impatient and made my FT already! Had considered Podolski, Adebayor, abd dempsey but in the end got Santi in for Nasri.

    Jussi
    Sagna, Luiz, Demel
Wally, Coutinho (c), Santi, Lamps, Bale
    Aguero, Sturridge

    Lukaku, Wilson, Mariappa

    0FT 0.4

Please could someone rate my team? I'm 30 points off the money!

I hope Frank and Kun play! Should have waited but if I must will take a -4 hit.

    Thanks fellas!

Just put in Coutinho - he will be hot property next season.

As a lifelong Lpool fan - I've just put Carragher in (-4 hit too) for the craic.

So tempted to do the same for sagna...not sure tge gooners will get a CS but at home V QPR Liverpool certainly could...and if the reds do get a pen...surely it would be handed to Carra?! Hope it pays off for you. I'll probably end up doing it after a couple of beers on Friday night! Haha
