As mentioned in a previous article, there’s been a handful of new rules introduced to the Sky Sports Fantasy game this season. One of the most welcome additions is the move to reward goalkeepers with bonus points – stoppers will now receive two extra points if they make five or more saves in a match, thus boosting their appeal and forcing us to reassess their worth in the season ahead.

The Sky Sports table for Goalkeepers in the Members Area now includes the bonus points from saves that would have been accrued for the past two seasons. In this evening’s article for Members, we’ve analysed these numbers in full, assessing the impact the new bonus system is likely to have on our Sky Sports selections.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Currently looking at going with a 3-4-3 with my attacking 7 being:

    Hazard - Mirallas - Coutinho - Walcott
    Bony - Soldado - Dzeko

Question is who's the best 5th midfielder for me to have, keeping in mind Dzeko may not always start.

    a) Noble
    b) Jarvis
    c) Diame
    d) _____

No, that's the media reporting it that way with no actual quotes, pure rumour to support more and more news articles that drive up hits. That the reporting has been so relentless doesn't tell you there's an truth to what they're saying, more that the news story is very popular.

According to Bale himself after the season ended, he was talking about looking forward to next season with spurs and giving a push for fourth another go. I think next year without champions league would be different.

Yeah he'll be in there. At this point, I've seen him go from being selected by 50% of the people playing to now 27%, so he's already becoming a little bit of a differential.

My only issue is if he has a niggling injury or is affected by the all the news articles. Will see if he plays against Espanyol.

    Current team-

    Mig (Marshall)
    Gibbs, Coleman, Riether (Brayford, Parr)
    Hazard, Silva, Mirallas, Wilshere, Lennon
    RVP, Anelka, JayRod
    with £1m left

Trying to cut Lennon. Which would leave me with £8.5m for a midfielder. Any suggestions? May be cut Anelka or JayRod with him, so I would have £14 or £14.5, respectively.
Also should I stick with Gibbs, or go with someone like Shawcross or Mertesacker? Any other full-back options?
    Help much appreciated 🙂

I've picked Ivanovic, previously Luiz. He did well last season, that's my reasoning. Terry alongside Luiz never worked, because Terry wasn't quick enough to cope with Luiz's tendency to drift around, don't know how it'll work, whether Mourinho will allow Luiz to go forward and potentially score wonder goals.

Sergio Aguero is an overrated player from another country.

After one season defenders knew him inside out.

He won't start many games this season. Manchester city have signed Negredo. Edin Dzeko is manuel pellegrini number one. They also have stefan jovetic who can play like steven gerrard or wayne rooney.

They have david silva in what people call the isco role around here. Its a typical position in other countries.

Being good in another country is not the same as being good in england.

Does not mean they are not good in a country with different weather and different footballing cultures and ideas.

Here it is about getting stuck in and showing fighting spirit when it is snowing and pouring with rain. It is about keeping things simple. Winning headers. Being strong. This might be the same in other countries. This might not be the same in other countries. But it is what it is in this country.

So I would rather have jon walters than iniesta.

I have the unexpected problem of wanting 4 player Liverpool players in my team. Mignolet, Toure, Coutinho, and Sturridge, and thinking of who to change out out of Mignolet and Toure so that when Sturridge or Suarez are available/fully fit i don't have to change a whole load to get them in. If Mertesacker was 5.0 would be easier..

Never considered him. I went with Jääskeläinen, but i might change now. Szczesny played a lot less and still got 10 clean sheets. I figured that the possession teams concede less because few chances are created by the other team because they rarely have the ball. Also Vorm is an option..West Ham's first fixtures are quite kind.

    Is anyone else WCing GW2?

I can't stand the thought of spending the first few weeks of the much anticipated FPL cleaning up the mess of the DGW, and never quite arriving at the structure I was after because new injuries/bandwagons keep coming along!!

I'm going to treat GW2 as GW1 and give myself a headstart and a clean slate with what I believe is a more optimal and flexible structure, free of Chelsea players. I've never really needed the WC late season anyway as the optimal template is usually determined by then.

I'm really of two minds on the idea. I managed to successfully navigate the late dgws last year without a wildcard. As long as there is enough of a warning, with a couple hits, you're good to go. On the other hand, that was last year. Who knows if the dgws will fall as nicely this year?

Rediculous idea. Whatever about an early wc at least wait for a game or two after the window closes when you can see how new changes are effecting existing formations/players and you might have some line on form for all the new players in the league.

You will know f all more in gw2 than gw1.

With this season being 11 days shorter than last year due to wc next season there could be some real bumper dbls near the end too. Couple the truncated season with the huge strengthening which has been carried out by the big teams meaning they are likely to be in domestic cup and euro cup action much later in the season means some bumper bumper dbls late on.

      Silly silly strategy wc gw2
