The Sun Dream Team is now open for registration and Fantasy Football Scout are delighted to announce an official league, with The Sun offering a huge £1,000 prize to our winner.

Having had a few weeks to tinker with your starting XI, the serious business starts here. You can register your saved team, put together further lineups and create and enter leagues for the new season.

Select a free team and you can compete for £80,000 in prize money, but if you back yourself by opting for a Premium Package (two teams for £10 or six teams for £25), you’ll have more chances to win and be in the mix to win the full £500,000, whilst also earning the right to compete for the monthly game prizes, which make up £80,000 of the overall prize pot.

Joining and Creating Leagues

You can join or create up to ten leagues with any of your teams and set up your own leagues as you wish. The Sun Dream Team game offers real incentive to get involved – there’s a new Chairman’s prize pool of £10,000 available for those who manage to recruit ten or more managers to their league.

If you’re looking to join an ready-made league, you can challenge the likes of Ian Wright and Terry Venables with Dream Team allowing you to take on an array of celebrity managers.

The Scout League

You should also enroll in the official Fantasy Football Scout League, with Dream Team very kindly offering a £1,000 prize pot to the winner.

Once you register and create your team or teams, simply use the following PIN and password to enter.

League Name: Fantasy Football Scout
Password: ReWOZhn1T1
PIN: 8061654

You’ll find these details on the middle column of the homepage from this point on.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

I reckon he'll probably get one game, but that might be all he needs to register a decent score. You probably wouldn't punt on him in a normal gameweek but I think the double might make him worth the risk.

Go for Ivanovic than Luiz, getting Left back or Right back is a better option, as the Gold lining is the Assist or the Goal. Don't jump in for Soldado Defoe and Adebayor might get more chances up ahead atleast keep him away for 2 game weeks or 1. go for someone who will definately get a starting Spot. can go for Giroud or Podolski or Jelavic or even Hooper.

Surely no contest, has to be Silva?

Michu was amazing for 6.5 last season, but I think he is borderline over-priced now, and Swansea aren't a team you can bank on.

I'm pretty certain Swansea will score against United judging by both teams pre-season performances so far. If they do - Bony or Michu will be involved... I'm not so sure about City / Silva, especially without seeing some form from Silva. I'd go with Michu personally...

With Lukaku there Long still got over 2000 minutes and I can only see that increasing with Anelka only coming off the bench for the most part I fear. And I think in general WBA will struggle a lot this season. I am more interested to follow Cornelius as I think Cardiff will surprise a few.

I would go with Amorebieta as you can pretty much guarantee to rotate him in for the home games and out for the away games. I like teams who have such high focus on home games such as WHU, Nor, Ful and Stoke (until Hughes arrived).

      RMT please

      Boruc (Davies)

      Zabaleta, Ivanovic, Mertesacker (Chester,Brayford)

      Coutinho, Mirallas, Hazard, Walcott (Thomas)

Lukaku, Soldado, Hooper (1.5 in the bank)

I'm thinking upgrading Hooper but I don't know who to pick

Dzeko maybe? You have quite a lot of money invested in your defence too.

I thought about him, but not sure if he will start. Once the dgw is over, i will downgrade ivanovic to coleman

I would spend the extra money on a rotationable GK myself.

So... I've obviously heard a lot of talk about RVP being the best captaincy option because he's fixture proof etc. But how many of us would actually captain him against the tougher teams (Chelsea/Man City etc)? Surely during those gamesweeks you'd pick one of your other players who's facing a more obliging defense anyway and primarily pick RVP against the weak teams like you would with any other player?

So basically what I'm saying is - if you have enough decent FPL players (Walcott/Soldado/Benteke/Sturridge etc) which not having RVP will allow you to have - you're highly likely to have a decent captaincy option every week...

What do people think about this?

Agreed but GW4 could be a monster haul. Besides, RVP is a proven, reliable captain. Those "decent" FPL players may be different this season i.e. less consistent/explosive.

It is an interesting point, people going with RvP because he is a safe captain pick but are they going to captain him in the first few gameweeks? They could end up missing on some more explosive captain choices from other players...this happened to me last season, I was far too reliant on captaining Van Persie and I missed out on so many explosive captains 🙁

I guess - just speaking from experience - there will be plenty of occasions throughout the season where it will make more sense to captain someone else other than RVP, but because he's got such a great reputation you'll captain him blindly and miss out on some big points hauls... Does the consistency of a goal or assist a game which RVP averaged last year outweigh potential bumper points hauls and greater overall team score (because you can afford better players) if you go without him?

How do we think Stoke's defence is going to hold up with Hughes in charge compared to last season?

I know they kind of tailed off last season after having a tight defence at home before christmas.

I'm thinking about having Erik Pieters in defence. 5.0m and one has to believe he is nailed on. If there defence starts well, or better under Hughes then might be a good route into a strong defence?

Pieters is quality and definitely the one to watch from STO defence this year. but i'd prefer to wait and see how the team plays under Sparky.

Yeah, didn't notice LIV, MCY and ARS within the first 5 games... wait and see definately. Should be a good player and previous players from the Dutch league have settled in well

Bad fixtures to start the season and I can't see me upgrading a 4.5m option to get one of their 5.0m players as the season progresses even if the continue to perform under Hughes.

      Sky game...

      Anonymous posted this earlier..

'For example, if you had your existing captain already playing on a Saturday, he would score double points on that day! . You could then transfer him out for a game on Sunday, before the earliest Premier League game played on the Sunday, and the incoming player taking over as captain would score double points. You could then use your weekly captaincy change to change the captain for a game on Monday and score double points again for 3 separate players'...

We understand this, but it does does not answer the query we all had, which is does your Monday captain stay as your captain for the following Saturday? If he does, you will only be able to change capt once and sub captain once for the subsequent weeks, ie only 2 capts per week.

We are still waiting for clarification on this... 😕
