No thrills. Few spills. Just two men in a room talking about Fantasy Football.

Granville and I handed Jonty and the “Professor” an extended pre-season and rolled the ScoutCast back to its rawest form. Just myself and the Mancunian sharing our thoughts after a summer break and looking forward to another Fantasy campaign.

We talk double Gameweek assets, I roll out the van Persie duvet, Granville reveals more than he should about his team lineup and, around all that, we assess the early bandwagons and preview the weekend fixtures.

Forty-five minutes of two blokes talking about the stuff that’s rattling around in most of our heads right now.

      Very very good differential.
      
      The way I worked the logic is even if Sturridge plays, Aspas plays too whilst Suarez is suspended. Brilliant if you are going to wildcard Gameweek 3.
      
      I've had him the entire pre-season up until today and only don't have him in my team now because I think Lambert will slightly outscore him due to pens, free kicks and is 1st choice for the season (unless we sign Osvaldo which is rumoured).

    Also, don't fall into the Bale trap of a few years ago. We all didn't pick him at 6.5m because we didn't like that he was classified as a midfielder. He came on and dominated.
    
    The same is likely with Coutinho. 9.0m and we think ah he's overpriced because last season he was 6.5m, but his production is still there, his position is still a forward one, and there's no reason to think he can't have a 200 point season.

      How old is he? 19? 20? I can't see him being consistent, which is a must at 9m as that is a potential captain choice.
      
      He came in towards the end of last season and was probably fresher than a lot of players. The opposition may have been more concerned with keeping Suarez quiet which gave him the space.
      
      He's a wait and see for me. A touch over priced.

        Liverpool were 28 points off the top last season. (They were actually 11 points off 5th place).
        
        Finishing within a few points of 5th and Rodgers will have done good.

      Absolutely. Certainly built on what they had and can only be viewed as a better side than they were at the end of last season. They'll no doubt break into the top 4 soon - but, every season people write off Arsenal - and yet it's been about 17 years since they last finished outside top 4.

  I did have him in but they don't seem to be playing 4411, at least not in pre-season.
  
  He's a good option if they do play that as he plays in the hole, not sure about in a 442 or 433, probs would play too deep.
