The final match of Gameweek 1 is almost upon us as Chelsea prepare for the visit of Aston Villa. Both sides arrive in good form, with the Blues easing past Hull at the Bridge on Sunday and Paul Lambert’s side sweeping aside Arsenal at the Emirates the day beforehand.

Jose Mourinho makes just two changes to his previous XI. In a huge surprise up front, it’s Demba Ba who replaces Fernando Torres as the Blues’ lone forward, with Romelu Lukaku once again warming the bench – with a trip to Old Trafford and blank Gameweek 3 to follow, the big Belgian can expect to lose significant numbers of Fantasy owners after this bombshell. Chelsea’s other change is as expected, with Juan Mata returning to the starting line-up after a recent thigh problem – Kevin De Bruyne is the man to drop out, with Mata expected to take up position on the right, leaving Oscar to tuck in behind Ba in a continuation of the 4-2-3-1 formation that started against Hull. Fernando Torres is left out of the squad altogether, after being selected to start on Sunday.

For the visitors, Paul Lambert makes one enforced alteration. Nathan Baker is sidelined with the ankle injury that forced him off at Arsenal, so Ciaran Clark comes in to partner Ron Vlaar in the heart of defence. Andreas Weimann and Gabby Agbonlahor flank Christian Benteke up top, with new boy Aleksandar Tonev warming the bench once again.

Our Dugout Discussion chatroom has opened up for tonight’s match to cater for those who like some real-time chatter with their evening’s action.

I've started to think about it and there are no Chelsea attackers I want. In both games they've shut down with 15-20 mins to go. I'm not sure they will score 3 or 4 goals regularly enough. On top of that they have so many players that there's bound to be rotation

You mean the guy who has yet to start a game for them? Why would u assume that out of interest?

Anyway Aguero is the most assured starter long-term (tho its all guess work with a new coach in place)

Why is nobody considering getting Osvaldo in for Lukaku? Soton have good fixtures and he is their record signing. Should be a nailed on striker for them.

May be eased in initially, or at least for GW2.

On the other hand could start straight away, it's just a bit risky

Should I play Ivanovic against ManU or bring Zabaleta in(-4p)... I think its up to who has the better possibility to score because Zaba's possible cleansheet is zeroed because of the hit.

To my understanding this makes no sense.

So if a player hits the post or crossbar and comes to another player and he shoots and scores, that's an assist to the player who struck the post or crossbar.

If a player puts a ball in and hits an opposing player and the ball then falls to a teammate who scores, that's no assist.

IT MAKES NO BLOODY SENSE BOTH ARE THE SAME THING!

Lukaku to Benteke is a bad idea, right? It's irrational to use a hit/ your FT for a player not playing GW3. Would be an absolute shoe in if it wasn't for the blank, but beating the price rise is also a concern.

How much do we estimate is Benteke going to rise? If it's only 0.1 then I would not get him in now - but it's not impossible he gets up to 9.3 by GW3 and I would not want to lose out on that.

I think a bandwagon might develop, but that's just based on the fickle nature of the Fantasy football managers. I agree a rise of 0.3 would be too much too miss out on.

    MIgnolet
    Mertesacker, Terry, Toure, Chester, Brayford
Hazard Walcott Mirallas Coutinho Pozuelo (useless, I know xD)
    Benteke Lukaku Giroud

    So:
A Hazard to 6 or 6.5m midfielder then Lukaku to Aguero (-4)
B Lukaku to Dzeko and Terry to Zabaleta
    C Lukaku to Dzeko ONLY
