Heading into the home game against Stoke, Philippe Coutinho was one of the most popular picks around. Second only to Eden Hazard in terms of midfield ownership in Fantasy Premier League (FPL), the Liverpool winger was heavily backed to run riot against the Potters after a thrilling first few months on Merseyside last time round.

Unfortunately for his Fantasy owners, Coutinho returned a blank while Iago Aspas and Daniel Sturridge picked up the points after combining for the Reds’ match-winner. As we edge ever-closer to the weekend’s fixtures, we take a look back at the Brazilian’s display against Mark Hughes’ side and assess the underlying data in our first Monitor article of the new season.

    Phew Lukaku didn't drop last night! Gave me some more time to decide who to get in for him. Still haven't decided though. Got about 14.5m for def and striker:

    Terry > Zaba

    Lukaku > Giroud/Dzeko or get cheaper def and get Soldado?

      I was thinking Lukaku and Hazard > Silva and Sturridge so gonna monitor responses to this closely 😀

      My initial thoughts are wait until after tonight to get rid of Hazard, he's started twice so Mou must have alot of faith in the boy
