Heading into the home game against Stoke, Philippe Coutinho was one of the most popular picks around. Second only to Eden Hazard in terms of midfield ownership in Fantasy Premier League (FPL), the Liverpool winger was heavily backed to run riot against the Potters after a thrilling first few months on Merseyside last time round.

Unfortunately for his Fantasy owners, Coutinho returned a blank while Iago Aspas and Daniel Sturridge picked up the points after combining for the Reds’ match-winner. As we edge ever-closer to the weekend’s fixtures, we take a look back at the Brazilian’s display against Mark Hughes’ side and assess the underlying data in our first Monitor article of the new season.

      For DGW potential, when Torres was initially thought to be going to play for Spain and be rested it made perfect sense. Though Benteke is about to rub it in if you picked Lukaku instead of rather than as well as him.

    I ain't complaining about bringing in Lukaku at the last second too much since I also brought in Coleman at the same time, but surely the Special One won't rotate strikers this much all season will he? How will any of them get any rhythm?
