He’s well travelled. He’s multi-lingual. He’s just 19 points behind me. Despite my best start to a Fantasy Football season in living memory, Granville is right on my tail. In this latest episode of the ScoutCast, Granville takes delight in taunting me by wrapping his tongue around every “Pochettino” with ease, leaving me to struggle like Paul Merson with a mouth ulcer.

In between the mispronunciations, myself and the “cosmopolitan Manc” get heated about Robin Van Persie, rinse through the Gameweek 1 bandwagons, preview the weekend’s action and welcome the flying start made by this season’s ScoutCast team. It’s breathless stuff, squeezed into a low fat 40 minutes.

Broaden your horizons via this link or spread your wings via the handy player below.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Did any of the Aguero haters actually watch the game? He looked brilliant, not the post injury Aguero we saw last year but more like the legend of the year before... And that's with no pre season.. Write him off at your peril..

Not a hater but don't want to consider him, injury concerns for me and also rotation against weaker sides. Was so strong for his size and held off Steven Taylor like he was Akinfenwa

Agreed, he looked bery sharp. I'm sorry I chose Negrado over him ..........

I just hope Aguero and Negrado are not fighting for the same gametime along side Dzeko 🙁 but then again Gzeko missed a lot on good chances and could end up 3rd in line ........... but its all 'what if;s and maybe'

Shameless repost I'm afraid. Does Koscielny + Anelka > Zabaleta + Chamakh make any sense at all? You can guess which one of Zaba/Chamakh I'm not sure about...

Rest of team looks like this

    Mignolet
    Ivanovic - Coleman - Koscielny
    Lampard - Hazard - Walcott - Silva
    Anelka - Giroud - Soldado

Subs: Davis - Kim - Clyne - Garrido

If I went Chamakh I'd probably play 4-4-2, benching him and playing Garrido/Clyne.

I admit though, I can't believe I'm considering Chamakh. But Kos and Anelka are both gonna fall in price surely?

    Hi MJ,

After reviewing this, a goal was scored from the rebound of Hazard's shot, this is deemed an assist and Hazard has been awarded three points. Note that the rebound scored does not necessarily have to be on the same team as the initial shooter.

We hope this helps clarify the situation and apologise for any inconvenience caused in the delay of updating this.

Please continue to raise issues such as this, as it is valued players like yourselves that ensure we continue to make correct decisions.

It may be a bit late but for anyone who is looking to transfer out Hazard I would recommend putting in Walcott if you want a similar priced player to put in. Fulhams left side is weak, especially if Taarabt plays, and arsenal also have spurs in the next week which is a high scoring fixture where Walcott will most likely be involved, and by looking at his performance last night against Fenerbahce he will do well in those two games

Just a word on 'coverage': It seems to be a common conception that having your players spread out over several teams is better than having multiple players per team. Players should be selected and transferred based on many factors, e.g. form, price, fixtures, instinct, price change etc. All of these factors should boil down to one thing: maximizing your points potential - short, medium and long term. Not transferring in a player even though you think he is the best option, just because you already have 'coverage' for that team can only inhibit your points potential. Those players do not know what other players you have.

I appreciate the argument for coverage is that it is safer, that if a team scores big then you will get a piece of the pie. By the same logic, selecting the players who should get the most points (even if it means doubling up or trebling up) means that you will get more points in the long run - the times you miss out on big scorelines (or the opposite for defenders) will be overtaken by the times you benefit by having multiple players from that team. And it is a long haul, - there are 418 instances of players getting you points each season. In my opinion, heeding coverage should only be used in the case of defending a not-narrow lead mini-league very near the end of a season.

Best MAN CITY midfield coverage please?

Thinking Yaya, then Silva, then Navas in that order. Thoughts?

Is Fernandinho or Yaya the sitting midfielder though?

In this order I think: Silva, Navas, Yaya/Fernandinho

Yaya and Fernandinho play the double pivot, so they take turns attacking and defending

Ah thanks guys. Yaya is a beast and stays on 90 mins virtually every game and get more BP than anyone else and even takes FK's too. Silva is more advanced I understand but you can see my issue.

Yaya doesn't take free kicks normally...Im a city fan...and I've watched all of theyre training videos...and there was one video where Yaya and Nasri were competing to see who can score a freekick coming off the top of the crossbar

Thats why when Yaya scored, he went over to the bench to brag to Nasri

Interesting. City's run next is miles better than Chelsea (miss a GW too) so thinking of taking Hazard out for one of City but don't know who. Silva then you think? Who you got?

Once City really start clicking, I think Navas would be the midfielder to have...at the moment though, I would wait...and I would definitely keep Hazard; although he didn't score and got a phantom assist, he was Chelsea's best player by far in both matches

Yeah I know (Hazard is a long termer) but I always look at fixtures.

Chelsea: Utd away, NO GW, Everton away.
City: Cardiff away, Hull home, Stoke away.

I could keep Hazard for this GW then swap over next for free I suppose. It's just I don't have ANY attacking City coverage and I'm happy with my strikeforce.

Silva's gonna be the main man, but I don't think there's any great FPL value anywhere in City's midfield long term. Nobody in it scores enough goals to get anything out of this baps system.

I think the real value is in a striker if one is nailed on enough to be captainable (probably Aguero) and in the full backs because of how attacking they are in this 4-2-2-2 formation.

Jose gave Torres a game against because he knows they're useless and even Torres could play against them.

He gave Ba a start against Villa to see what he's all about and found out that he's all about being constantly offside.

Lukaku came on for the last half hour against Villa and was by far the most dangerous of the three over the two games.

He'll start at United because he's big and hard and will upset the United defence.

Even though it was given, I got this e-mail from FPL support. Guess the precedent is now clear.

    Hi Sebastian,

After reviewing this, a goal was scored from the rebound of Hazard's shot, this is deemed an assist and Hazard has been awarded three points. Note that the rebound scored does not necessarily have to be on the same team as the initial shooter.

We hope this helps clarify the situation and apologise for any inconvenience caused in the delay of updating this.
