He’s well travelled. He’s multi-lingual. He’s just 19 points behind me. Despite my best start to a Fantasy Football season in living memory, Granville is right on my tail. In this latest episode of the ScoutCast, Granville takes delight in taunting me by wrapping his tongue around every “Pochettino” with ease, leaving me to struggle like Paul Merson with a mouth ulcer.

In between the mispronunciations, myself and the “cosmopolitan Manc” get heated about Robin Van Persie, rinse through the Gameweek 1 bandwagons, preview the weekend’s action and welcome the flying start made by this season’s ScoutCast team. It’s breathless stuff, squeezed into a low fat 40 minutes.

    Is there any risk of Soldado not starting considering he played 70 mins on Thursday and AVB admitted he wasn't at full fitness coming off pre season?

      I think he played 70 because he wasn't at full fitness, 2 goals and 70 minutes couldn't have hurt.

      Think the reason he was subbed after 70 was because he's starting. Wouldn't worry. Also lacking match fitness isn't a reason to be dropped.

    What do you guys think is more important in general - to choose players who have the potential to give you MASSIVE returns, but are at the risk of rotation... i.e Hazard/Aguero, or to go for players who are more nailed on and will give you more consistent and reliable returns, i.e Soldado/Nolan/Walcott etc.

      I'd say Walcott actually has potential to go crazy and is nailed on so he's thr best type

      For rotation risks I prefer them to be good value. So dzeko is acceptable because he can perform so much better than 7.5mil. If aguero/hazard/mata start getting rotated I'd keep away.

      Snoddy is as nailed on as christ when fit.. they need him badly in midfield as was evident in the lackluster game vs everton. And he's been training since wednesday and should be match fit now. so he's not a worry. Rat and Anelka your only concerns tbh as the Blankers look good goin forward

          Mourinho was talking about game time for his strikers and said Lukaku is the only one not to get a start yet... I'm keeping him for one more week to see, so many people so quick to offload based on one gameweek and it would be so funny if he got a hat-trick against Utd again 😀

      Seems legit. I would be a little concerned not to have any Liverpool coverage though.. And Barkley though played brilliantly might be benched too often when need him to play.

    scored a decent 82 points and am pretty happy as I won both my LAWR H2H as well as UEFA FFS H2H with PSV...

    Tough GW ahead having to face TorresMagic in both my H2Hs this GW... So it's either win both or lose both...

    Ok lads after tones of thinkering it come down to this. Its generally Soldado or not Soldado case

    Option A: Bring Soldado for Lukaku for a hit and captain him. Have headaches who to bench. This is more longterm decision cause I want him longterm. If I don't get him this week I am not gonna get him next week when they play away game at Arsenal. That means I get him GW 4 earliest and some price rises in between will have to be swollen. GW 3 will bring SIlva for Hazard.

    Option B: Forget Soldado and make a shorterm punt for Kun. This means no hit this week but a hit next week when I will get Silva and Kun. That means 3 City for the explosion against Hull at home and screw Soldado. In this case no hit this week I am gonna play NOllan and Hazard (my prime candidates for benching) . GW 4 Wild Card. I mean this looks nice in short term I will probably get the CIty pts from Kun (C) in GW 4 probably. But I can lose the player I want long term Soldado.

    Please help.

      Can you not do option B without wildcarding in gw4?
      I personally think soldado will bang them in this season so I would go for A.
      Then do hazard > silva next week.

    I've still got two Chelsea mids (Oscar & Hazard) and am worried that Jose may bench one of them baed on his comments about not changing enough players and his midfield looking tired from the start against Villa.

    Am going to spend 4 pts on Silva but which one do I replace? Gut says Hazard, head says Oscar

      I'm in the same position, and can't really make my mind up. I think they will probably score fairly similarly in the long run, but could feasibly both get benched this week.

      Only reason I'm veering towards keeping Oscar is because he's cheaper.

      I'm personally regretting getting Kim in ... Think Whittingham is the fpl scoring choice there. I'd rather take a hit than play Kim against man city .. Can't see more than 2pt for him. Lambert is a great choice.

        Yes, Whittingham was more involved in attacking play than Kim last weekend. However, Kim played very well with Mutch last season, so will be interesting to see if there's a reversal should Mutch (rightly in my opinion) get a start over Gunnarson.
