He’s well travelled. He’s multi-lingual. He’s just 19 points behind me. Despite my best start to a Fantasy Football season in living memory, Granville is right on my tail. In this latest episode of the ScoutCast, Granville takes delight in taunting me by wrapping his tongue around every “Pochettino” with ease, leaving me to struggle like Paul Merson with a mouth ulcer.

In between the mispronunciations, myself and the “cosmopolitan Manc” get heated about Robin Van Persie, rinse through the Gameweek 1 bandwagons, preview the weekend’s action and welcome the flying start made by this season’s ScoutCast team. It’s breathless stuff, squeezed into a low fat 40 minutes.

      Yaya and Fernandinho play the double pivot, so they take turns attacking and defending

        Ah thanks guys. Yaya is a beast and stays on 90 mins virtually every game and get more BP than anyone else and even takes FK's too. Silva is more advanced I understand but you can see my issue.

          Yaya doesn't take free kicks normally...Im a city fan...and I've watched all of theyre training videos...and there was one video where Yaya and Nasri were competing to see who can score a freekick coming off the top of the crossbar

          Thats why when Yaya scored, he went over to the bench to brag to Nasri

              Interesting. City's run next is miles better than Chelsea (miss a GW too) so thinking of taking Hazard out for one of City but don't know who. Silva then you think? Who you got?

                Once City really start clicking, I think Navas would be the midfielder to have...at the moment though, I would wait...and I would definitely keep Hazard; although he didn't score and got a phantom assist, he was Chelsea's best player by far in both matches

                  Yeah I know (Hazard is a long termer) but I always look at fixtures.

                  Chelsea: Utd away, NO GW, Everton away.
                  City: Cardiff away, Hull home, Stoke away.

                  I could keep Hazard for this GW then swap over next for free I suppose. It's just I don't have ANY attacking City coverage and I'm happy with my strikeforce.

      Silva's gonna be the main man, but I don't think there's any great FPL value anywhere in City's midfield long term. Nobody in it scores enough goals to get anything out of this baps system.

      I think the real value is in a striker if one is nailed on enough to be captainable (probably Aguero) and in the full backs because of how attacking they are in this 4-2-2-2 formation.

      Sturridge for me. Nailed on as much as Soldado if not more given Defoe replaced him last week and the fact that europa league games will mean tiredness. Sturridge was coming back from injury and he still played 90 mins. Dzeko, who knows. Lambert is nailed on but Osvaldo changes things in immediate future. I'd say Sturridge is to Liverpool what RVP is to United, Rodgers values him that highly, Suarez and Rooney are the second/wide strikers able to link play.

      I wouldn't take much from my opinion though, I'm mostly wrong.

    I'm tempted by having zabs but at the same time I think JT is excellent value at 6.0 and should be kept

            Excellent...although I wouldn't have got Sturridge seeing as you have Coutinho, but seeing as theres not many better choices in the 8-9 bracket (since you already have Benteke and Soldado)...its basically the best you could get.

            sidenote: I really rate Bony, but his fixtures are terrible...still have him in my side though

    So M started Torres then started Ba! and now he will start Lukaku against ManUtd.
    Everyone's shipping Luk? It's about balance with M and with his decision to give Luk the cameo in both games and starting the other 2 alternately then the perfect balance for G/W2 will be Luk because lets face it Torres and Ba have had there shot in the M balance.

    Ba was making most of his runs starting from an offside position and needs a lobotomy. Torres is becoming a character from The Hobbit on Mushrooms.

    So Lukaku starts against Utd and Negredo starts for Citeh.. And don't come crying to me for spilt milk.

      Yes, this is true.

      But imo, its better to recognize a mistake early, take the hit on the chin and get in a productive replacement right away rather than make a boatload of excuses, keep the player and watch him lose you value and points at the same time.

      Totalfpl only has him at 85. Fiso has been jacked up all day, he should be fine. I have him too ... Keeping for the moment as there are more pressing issues to address.
