This season we are running leagues across the Fantasy Premier League (FPL), Sky Sports and Sun Dream Team games as well as a link up with PlayON. In our first Fantasy Football Scout league round up, we profile those with plenty to cheer about and take a look at our own contributors and moderators league.

Fantasy Premier League

With a momentous score of 131 Stumanchu tops the Fantasy Football Scout FPL league and lies seventh overall. His decision to captain Christian Benteke proved crucial to his mammoth Gameweek, which included five other double digit players, such as Frank Lampard and Seamus Coleman. Stumanchu is just three points off the highest point score of the week, achieved by three managers who share joint first overall. Second place in the Fantasy Football Scout FPL league goes jointly to MS and Jennifer Lenharth, who both have a score of 122. Thanks to their exploits the Fantasy Football Scout league currently tops FPL’s league of leagues. The code to join our FPL league is 1580-1106.

Topping our FPL FFS Members league is Ian Randolph, who, like Stumanchu, also captained Benteke. He achieved 114 points in the first Gameweek  and is closely followed by Tom Dennerly, Kevin Folks, Mat Martin, Sam Gillespie and Ivan Heneghan, who are all on 113 points and share second place.

With the introduction of HomeCrowd and a team of moderators our newly named Contributors and Moderators league in the FPL game is now 20-strong and tougher than ever. Mark is bossing the new league in first place from under his Robin Van Persie duvet cover, with a score of 103 points in Gameweek 1. Last year’s contributors league victor Andy is excelling again. His RVP-less team is in second with a score of 94, while Torres Magic is flying the flag for our moderator team, with a score of 88 points earning him a third place ranking.

Sky Sports Fantasy Football

Leanne Dean tops our Sky Sports Fantasy Football league and is in 12th position overall with an eye popping score of  228. A closer look at her team reveals that it comes at a cost. With eight Chelsea and three Aston Villa players she is looking at making 11 substitutions in Gameweek 3 as all have a blank due to Chelsea’s Supercup commitments. In second place, with a score of 204 is Josie O’Neil, while Mary Humberstone is in third.

Once again, Fantasy Football Scout’s league also tops the Sky Sports game’s league of leagues – the winner of our Sky Sports league wins £1,000. To join, visit Sky Sports Fantasy Football and key in League Name: FFScout, League Code: 8000112.

The Sun Dream Team

There is also £1,000 prize for the winner of our Sun Dream Team league which, after one week, is topped by Charles Mouzon, who has 122 points thanks largely to 21 pt hero Roberto Soldado, who scored a brace while on Europa league action for Tottenham on Thursday. Charles is clearly a manager to watch, having briefly topped the FPL game last season. Nigel Dodds sits in second on 121 points after picking his entire defence from Tottenham. Third place goes to btrenden Sweeney, who has 118 points.

The Fantasy Football Scout League is currently sixth in the Sun’s league of leagues; a great start for our community across the games.  To join visit  The Sun Dream Team, league name: Fantasy Football Scout, password: ReWOZhn1T1 and PIN: 8061654.

The PlayON £2 Game

The Fantasy Football Scout PlayON £2 Game proved lucrative for Richard Matthews who scooped £243 and first place thanks largely to his selection of Van Persie, Joe Cole and David Silva. Second placed Nick Patrick won £162 with Van Persie and Benteke proving to be his star men. Third placed Matty Bellism, whose players included Roberto Soldado, won £96.39.

How does this look for a w/c team?

    Boruc 4.0
    Zab Coleman Shaw Reid Whittaker
    Mirrallas Silva Walcott Nolan Barkley
    Sturridge Soldado Aguero?!

I can dgrade Silva to a 6 mil and upgrade Aguero to RVP later if needed?

Would go Collins instead of Reid and Whittaker may be displaced by Bassong's return. Rest is good though I don't think I'd have Coleman, Mirallas and Barkley.

How is it? You save 0.5 which can be used elsewhere and you get pretty much the same returns.

I've activated my WC and have a final decision to make...

You don't have to own the player to vote on who you think the best option is. If that were the case then it'd just be the high ownership players on top every single week and wouldn't be any indication of what people think about that particular gameweek.

People seem to be convinced NEW assets are no-goes due to the result against Man City. HBA in particular.

Could you say that any other side outside the top 8 would've done better in similar circumstances..?

A reminder of what you get for 7m with HBA:

    Set pieces
    Pens
    Part of a front 3.
    Bullet of a left foot.
    Greedy.
3 home games out of 4 against winnable teams.

He's in my side for these reasons. If you agree don't let others put you off.

Mostly agree and have him in my side but...

Pardew seems to have convinced himself that he can play 442 without a decent striker, never mind two. So HBA played RM in a 442 rather than further forward in a 4231 v City and probs will do the same again at the weekend.

I hear you. However, he does still play further forward even in a 4-4-2, and looked fit and lively for 40 mins against Citeh.

NEW at home are a different animal, so reminding people not to judge him based on the last fixture.

    I just did a GW1 post-mortem. If I'd gone with the team I'd "locked-in" a week before the GW1 deadline, I'd have got:

    Mignolet (15)
    Coleman (13) / Ivanovic (15) Mertesacker (1) / Shaw (12, 1st sub on for Snodgrass)
    Hazard(c) (16) / Coutinho (3) / Bale(vc) (0)
    Benteke (18) / Lukaku (2) / Gayle (2) ============================= 97 pts.
Subs: Boruc / Snodgrass (off for Shaw) / Brady / Yanga-Mbiwa

But because of Bale's apparent lack of desire to ever play for Spurs again, I rejigged my team to:

    Cech (8)
    Toure (5) / Ivanovic(vc) (15) / Mertesacker (1) / Lescott (7)
    Hazard(c) (16) / Coutinho (3) / Walcott (2)
    Benteke (18) / Dzeko (4) / Anelka (2) ============================= 81 pts.
Subs: Boruc / Snodgrass / Coleman (13 pts. stuck on bench) / Brady

So as you can see I lost out on the big Mignolet, Coleman and Shaw points from GW1 (offset slightly by Lescott) all as a result of trying to improve my team with the £2.5m left over from my Bale to Walcott pre-GW1 transfer. But I ended up wrecking the balance of my squad, and I also had to (or at least felt I had to) use my FT this week to get Shaw back in.

It's a pity, as a 56 point defence would have been nice to start off the season with.

Sorry for the long (and ultimately pointless) post.

Doesn't just need 4 more than Hazard as Silva gets to play in GW3 and Hazard doesn't. So who plays in GW3 if you don't make the transfer? Its a short and a medium term argument to do the hit. Ive done the same.

Well if I didn't bring him in this week, I'd just bring him in for GW 3. Obviously I'd then miss out on Silva's GW 2 points & he'll likely go up in price. How likely is it that Silva will score 4 more points than Hazard?

    hello.

    Koren
    Chester
    Lukaku
    Snodgrass

2 for the bench, 2 for the pitch.

    Advice would be lovely.

Shoddy minimum, time to sell Lukaku if you can't play him.

so 4 point hit Lukaku>Dzeko and play Chester in the hope of a Hull c/s.
        Snodgrass and Koren on bench?

I'm taking a punt on Chester getting a clean sheet against Norwich, but I'm not sure about Lukaku anymore. Lukaku and Snodgrass seems like the obvious choice.

Soldado all the way. Having Giroud, I'm currently on Lambert as vc and would also pick Wally before Giroud.

Getting Silva in. Who to ditch between Lamps and Hazard...

Thinking Lamps will score more i he starts, Hazard likely to get more game-time.

Might Willian, if he does join, dent Hazard's gametime? Lamps looks safest for me atm, but it could all change next week.
