With leagues across the Fantasy Premier League (FPL), Sky Sports and Sun Dream Team games as well as a link up with PlayON there is plenty of opportunity for our community to get involved across a wide range of competitions.  In our latest Fantasy Football Scout round up, we profile this week’s league leaders.

Fantasy Premier League

A Gameweek 2 score of 55 was enough for Stumanchu to retain top spot in our  Fantasy Premier League (FPL) mini-league. He now has 186 points and climbs to third place overall thanks to his captaincy of Roberto Soldado and eight point hauls from Olivier Giroud and Kolo Toure. Tang Window, who captained Edin Dzeko, takes second place and sits four points behind our leader, while James Martin, who is in third place on 177 points, was another to captain Dzeko last week; he also had Tottenham’s Kyle Walker amongst his other top performers. The code to join our FPL league, which is top of the league of leagues, is 1580-1106.

Ross Gillard, who scored 66 points this week,  is now sitting top of our Fantasy Football Scout Members league in the FPL game. He has a total score of 175 and sits in 130 place overall, with his decision to captain Giroud proving decisive. Sam Gillespie is equal on points with Ross, but lies in second after taking a points hit in Gameweek 2. Third placed James Floyd is close behind on 172 points – James’s leftfield selection of Sunderland’s Emmanuele Giaccherini, who accrued 9 points, proved a smart move.

Last week’s Fantasy Football Scout Contributors and Moderators league leader Mark was among those left disappointed by Robin Van Persie. His resolute allegiance to the Dutchman saw him slump to fifth, with last year’s Contributors league victor and no-RVP advocate Andy moving to joint first alongside Green Windmill. Torres Magic hangs on to his third place with a total score of 144, although Granville is hot on his heels with a score of 139.

Sky Sports Fantasy Football

With a total points haul of 269 Josie O’Neil moves from second to first in our Fantasy Football Scout league in the Sky Sports Fantasy Football game. Mary Humberstone moves from third to second with a score of 264 and last week’s league leader Leanne Dean falls to joint third with Nick Whitrid on 260 points. Leanne’s decision to field exclusively Chelsea and Aston Villa players is set to see her either slip further or force her to make several transfers this week. As with last week, we continue to top Sky’s league of leagues.

The winner of our Sky league wins £1,000. To join, visit Sky Sports Fantasy Football and key in League Name: FFScout, League Code: 8000112.

The Sun Dream Team

Heavy investment in Arsenal and Tottenham helped Lee Walpole secure first place in our Sun Dream Team league. He has nine players from the North London rivals, with Tottenham striker Roberto Soldado’s 28 points  proving vital to his  points tally of 196. Charles Mouzon, who at one point last season was number one in the FPL game, is in second with 188 points thanks to Daniel Sturridge’s 34 points and similar investment in Tottenham’s assets. In third lies Tim Mongiat on 187 points. Tim’s star players include Soldado and Arsenal’s Kieron Gibbs. To join visit  The Sun Dream Team, league name: Fantasy Football Scout, password: ReWOZhn1T1 and PIN: 8061654.

PlayOn £2 Game

In our exclusive Fantasy Football Scout PlayON £2 Game Jamie Boyd claimed first place and winnings of £87 thanks to points hauls from Sturridge, David Silva, Charlie Adam and Ryan Shawcross. Andrew Foskett grabbed second place and winnings of £58, and third-placed Karl Pickard enjoys £34.51 haul. In case you missed them, our PlayON player picks for this weekend can be found right here.

But the captains poll is affected by which players voters own. In the comments, we are free to exclude certain players, like Aguero for instance.

True, but it gave the chance to Cahill put in a great performance. Luiz is first-choice, his partner for league games could still feasibly be either Terry or Cahill I think.

Must say, Spurs have really played the Bale sale brilliantly.

Some signings in every area, some experienced, some potential and some exciting names.

Soldado, Lamela, Paulinho, Erikson in particular.

    Realistically, what can they achieve?
I think Erikson and Lamela will add a lot and to ne honest, any position is possible.

Levy should get credit. No way Wenger would have got to spend it all if he sold someone for a £90m type fee.

      All brilliant signings.

I think Soldado was more short term to get goals this season without Bale but Lamela and Erikson are defintely ones for the future. Should tear up in a sseason or two's time

Good spot, guess when you split it over two seasons it's less obvious. I think people have been justifiably defensively spooked by the change of manager. I mean, I watched Wigan a lot as my 2nd Prem team and every cross was dealt with as if it was the first one they'd ever seen. And while it could be argued he has better defenders at Everton, the same aerial flaws were present in the 2-2 draw with Norwich.

I know that traditionally the Ars Tott game is high scoring . However when was the last time that Tottenham had such a strong defensive presence?

Paulinho and Capoue in front of that back four just cant see them conceding many , they are going to play it tight

I've made the trip from Scotland to Manchester tonight and will be at the Etihad to watch captain Aguero and vice captain Silve run riot.

    Here's to a 5-0 City win.

Captain Poll this week is very confusing, I think Aguero is clearly the best option but is only 3rd on the captaincy poll because Dzeko and Silva have much higher ownership.

      Silva likely to get 5-8

      Walcott could get 2-15

You'd think City will score 3-4 and Arsenal 1-2

It's very close, I'd just go Silva

Alright here's my wildcard - it's a bit different. Please let me know what you think.

Would really appreciate opinions on my wildcard team:

    Speroni (Boruc)

Shaw, Coleman, Clichy (B Turner, Chester)

Santi Cazorla (c), Coutinho, Silva, Ben Arfa, Assaidi

    Rooney, Dzeko (Benteke)

    0.0 in the bank.

Not that it matters as I'm on wildcard but I actually already had coutinho. I'm convinced he's gonna come good. His form last season showed his fantasy potential. Cheers for the reply.

last 70 seconds of the latest 'inside city' on the man city website. http://www.mcfc.co.uk/citytv/Features/2013/August/Inside-City-88

one circle of players = zabaleta, nastasic, lescott, clichy, fernandinho, *richards*, navas, silva, aguero, dzeko.

meanwhile in a different area of the pitch in bibs is another circle of players: kolarov, rodwell, barry, milner, boyata, negredo, javi garcia, nasri, jovetic *yaya toure*

swap yaya toure and richards and that's perfect starting lineup and bench if you ask me. almost to the extent that i wonder if yaya and richards swapped on purpose, to make it look like nothing important to outsiders.
