With leagues across the Fantasy Premier League (FPL), Sky Sports and Sun Dream Team games as well as a link up with PlayON there is plenty of opportunity for our community to get involved across a wide range of competitions.  In our latest Fantasy Football Scout round up, we profile this week’s league leaders.

Fantasy Premier League

A Gameweek 2 score of 55 was enough for Stumanchu to retain top spot in our  Fantasy Premier League (FPL) mini-league. He now has 186 points and climbs to third place overall thanks to his captaincy of Roberto Soldado and eight point hauls from Olivier Giroud and Kolo Toure. Tang Window, who captained Edin Dzeko, takes second place and sits four points behind our leader, while James Martin, who is in third place on 177 points, was another to captain Dzeko last week; he also had Tottenham’s Kyle Walker amongst his other top performers. The code to join our FPL league, which is top of the league of leagues, is 1580-1106.

Ross Gillard, who scored 66 points this week,  is now sitting top of our Fantasy Football Scout Members league in the FPL game. He has a total score of 175 and sits in 130 place overall, with his decision to captain Giroud proving decisive. Sam Gillespie is equal on points with Ross, but lies in second after taking a points hit in Gameweek 2. Third placed James Floyd is close behind on 172 points – James’s leftfield selection of Sunderland’s Emmanuele Giaccherini, who accrued 9 points, proved a smart move.

Last week’s Fantasy Football Scout Contributors and Moderators league leader Mark was among those left disappointed by Robin Van Persie. His resolute allegiance to the Dutchman saw him slump to fifth, with last year’s Contributors league victor and no-RVP advocate Andy moving to joint first alongside Green Windmill. Torres Magic hangs on to his third place with a total score of 144, although Granville is hot on his heels with a score of 139.

Sky Sports Fantasy Football

With a total points haul of 269 Josie O’Neil moves from second to first in our Fantasy Football Scout league in the Sky Sports Fantasy Football game. Mary Humberstone moves from third to second with a score of 264 and last week’s league leader Leanne Dean falls to joint third with Nick Whitrid on 260 points. Leanne’s decision to field exclusively Chelsea and Aston Villa players is set to see her either slip further or force her to make several transfers this week. As with last week, we continue to top Sky’s league of leagues.

The winner of our Sky league wins £1,000. To join, visit Sky Sports Fantasy Football and key in League Name: FFScout, League Code: 8000112.

The Sun Dream Team

Heavy investment in Arsenal and Tottenham helped Lee Walpole secure first place in our Sun Dream Team league. He has nine players from the North London rivals, with Tottenham striker Roberto Soldado’s 28 points  proving vital to his  points tally of 196. Charles Mouzon, who at one point last season was number one in the FPL game, is in second with 188 points thanks to Daniel Sturridge’s 34 points and similar investment in Tottenham’s assets. In third lies Tim Mongiat on 187 points. Tim’s star players include Soldado and Arsenal’s Kieron Gibbs. To join visit  The Sun Dream Team, league name: Fantasy Football Scout, password: ReWOZhn1T1 and PIN: 8061654.

PlayOn £2 Game

In our exclusive Fantasy Football Scout PlayON £2 Game Jamie Boyd claimed first place and winnings of £87 thanks to points hauls from Sturridge, David Silva, Charlie Adam and Ryan Shawcross. Andrew Foskett grabbed second place and winnings of £58, and third-placed Karl Pickard enjoys £34.51 haul. In case you missed them, our PlayON player picks for this weekend can be found right here.

    Frontrunner: me

    Player bought: Micah Richards

😆 Need to find him. I do remember having Kompany for his sending off and penalty two seasons ago, it might have been against Wolves. Ironically helped introduce me to FFS.

I remember watching Richards go down injured and looking immediately at the clock to check it had passed 6 minutes...

Alcaraz GW1 - GW11 last year, zero minutes and many multiples of 0.1 and 0.2 drops.

I figure there are so few times we can use these budget players we should give them a go on weeks we really 'need' them.

Sure Kolo could net his one goal this year but, surely the odds are in Ward's favour here to get a better score.

That said, I'm thinking anything nore than 2pts for either of these players should be considered a minor victory...

Oh yeah. Basically, the Manc clubs started off like a train that season so everyone loaded up. BUT Utd away at Pool and City home to Villa = agonising mass rotation early on (Aguero was injured iirc).

By this point in the season, City had amazing fixtures but I'd actually not invested in them mainly because they'd declined attacking wise by this point (carried on in to the next season), so to see this was a relief.

Captain seems to be a huge debate thus week.

My battle is Dzeko v Silva

If they both player 90, it'd be Dzeko all the way , but the rotation risk Keeps pushing ms towards the guaranteed minutes of Silva.

Silva will always be the 5-8 point man.

Just thinking, surely Pellegrini would only bother signing Negredo if he was intending to play him over Dzeko a reasonable amount this season. When if ever would this happen? Would it be triggered only by a loss in Dzeko's form? Or you reckon Negredo will be rotated with him to manage multiple competitions?

Aye. Difference with Dzeko though is that he was signed first and Balotelli and Aguero signed second and third, in that order I think, so he was basically eclipsed by new signings as opposed to literally signed for no reason at the time.

                  Still they are mad.

basically i have no idea. expected negredo to start gw 1 and was taken by surprise with aguero.
aguero deserves to be dropped after his awful first touches last week but the fact he got 90, and got a surprising start in gw1 makes me doubt it.

This early KO Captaincy debate... Here's my take, for what it's worth.

Choose your man based on form, fixtures, RMT, bookies odds and mostly your instincts. NOT kick off time.

IF that puts you up to bat first, so to speak:
    - You get it right; you smash it; you set yourself up for a good GW and put the pressure on your rivals.
    - Get it wrong and you have the to 'hope' for the chances to fall for your lesser players, increasing the importance of every other man in your squad. This is the exciting bit, where a differential can repay your faith.

I will go into this GW with confidence that Silva will nail it. I believe he'll deliver, but if he doesn't, i'll still enjoy the squeaky bumholing of the rest of the weekend.

    EMBRACE THE EARLY CAPTAIN

While the result is entirely beyond our control at that moment, there is still an element of perceived pressure as points begin totting up. It's irrational, but it's there.

      Sure, why not?

Silva has the Fantasy Point returns but, each have been 'playing well'.

Also, MCI fixtures get a lil tricky so a swap to Coutinho could work & net you some cash in the process.

they won't just implode. Hughes was decent defensively at Fulham and Blackburn and did have a patch at the end of 11/12 season with QPR.

ShawX, Huth Begovic is a solid last line of a fortress. That's not to say City can't go there on there day, though...
