Wouldn't surprise me at all if he did get a goal this week. His average position has been what you'd expect from a striker. He's had plenty of chances and shots on target. They're going to start going in.
The fact that the majority are shipping him is a case of group-think gone wrong.

Sorry, this reply fail was for Red Devils. To answer, I think it could but would not bank on it. Just think that it's better to make these sorts of changes more gradually. You'll probably feel the same about HBA in a few weeks - I have little confidence in Newcastle

How nailed on is he? Playing on the right of midfield although Poch has said he can play anywhere in midfield. Seems to be keeping Ramirez/Rod out of the team at the moment. Think Lallana is fairly nailed on, with Schneiderlin and Wanayama in the middle. The two up front are nailed, with jRod usually coming on after 65 or so.
Plenty of crosses, will get assists. The fact he is on set-pieces bolsters his nailed-onness. At 4.5, only downside is if he doesn't play....
Then i went on to Southampton FC forum - most full members on there suggest that he won't start, the preference is for Lallana - Gaston/Lambert - J-Rod (With Morgan/Wanayama behind) behind Osvaldo up front on his own (most seem to think Lambert will come on after 60mins or so, which was surprising, to me at least).
interesting. thanks for the investigating. we'll see what the manager thinks over the next few weeks.

Dawson has competition - and the fact he was dire against Arsenal might make AVB start with Kaboul or Chirches alongside Vertonghen.
Riether - Fulham look terrible at the back, and Stockdale is the most flappable keeper out there - liken him to the Moldova keeper (i went to about 15 Hull matches last season - trust me he's gash)
