This evening we roll out the final article in our three-part series assessing the stand-out attacking statistics over the first three Gameweeks. Having cast our analytical eye over the Defenders and Midfielders, we turn our attentions up front.
Here we go, Nadal vs Djokovic.

Best non-RVP way to get United cover in this team?Open ControlsCollins to vidic
Open ControlsThis. Lots of points from all the 1-0 wins.
Open Controls
Zab to Evra and Lampard to Nani.
I posted my thoughts on Evra last night but my thinking on Nani is this: Zaha is out of the picture along with Kagawa, Valencia has done nothing to justify a start and they have failed to score in the last 2 games.
Nani has signed a 5 yr deal and will start V Palace.Open Controls

Code 538-693 if you still fit the criteria (hits included)Open ControlsHey guys, which combo is better? 🙂
A) Mirallas & Remy
B) Ben Arfa & LukakuOpen Controlseasy B although not for this coming week because Lukaku can't play.
Open ControlsBee
Open ControlsB) I would say is better.
Open ControlsB, Remy over priced when Ben Arfa is playing the same position for less and as a midfielder!
Open ControlsWelcome!
Open Controls
Why do you want Newcastle coverage?
Open Controls
Evening lads. Not been on for while so I thought I'd catch up with the sticky comments first... nothing. Ok, how about discussion rating? Post on post about up-voting each other, wtf?!? Haven't the kids gone back to school this week???
Feeling dizzy up here on my moral high ground, so wondering if anyone fancies toying with a virtual WC then here's your chance.
Pick 3 defenders from:
1. Zabaleta
2. Agger
3. Vertonghen
4. Walker
5. Williams
6. Terry
7. Cashley
Vertonghen worth the cash with Spurs great fixtures? Am thinking he might be.
Put of by Agger a little with Wisdom or Kelly coming in for G Johnson, but arguably, that makes Liverpool even more secure at the back.
Currently going with Vidic, Vertonghen and Williams but feel I need some Chelsea back there.Open ControlsCheers Fin!
Not sure I want to invest in Citeh's back 4 with their 4-2-2-2 formation and with Kompany out, so are you suggesting Zabaleta because of this attacking returns?Open Controls
Evening TS...
Is price not an issue here? I would go for 1, 2, 3. Hard to say how much rotation there will be at the back at Chelsea.Open Controlsi referred back to the list. Vidic not listed there. I'd get him over Vert
Open ControlsHehe, subconsciously didn't put Vidic there as he's definitely in! Picking 3 is still useful to see the names that keep cropping up. Cheers Ellipsis.
Open Controls
Yeah, price not an option as I'm going RVP less and can downgrade a midfielder quite happily.
I remember Mourinho wasn't one to rotate the back 4 last time around. Think that will still be the case with Terry sitting out CL and cup games? Went with Cashley in the DGW as I couldn't see Bertrand starting in the PL, but would prefer to pay just the 6m.Open Controlsunderstandably re: cole. If you're right about JT's playing time then he's the best bet from Chelsea... he likes to pop up at set pieces! Are players required to play in a certain number of games in the cups and CL to pick up winners medals? Just wondering if that would scupper your hopes a touch? We all know he'll kit up and be in the photos regardless but I'm sure he'll want the personal medals for his trophy cabinet.
Open Controls😀 The worrying part is the amount of match time Cahill is getting... even in pre-season. I'd like to think Mourinho is running his eye over him and hasn't made a judgement yet as Luiz surely is a starter at CB when fully fit, and I'd want the other centre half to be Terry.
As you say, Terry's always a threat at set pieces. Probably too risky at the moment to make a call.Open ControlsYou're right about Cahill too. I think he's José's kind of CB...I think he'll be preferred over Luiz however. He's no nonsense, plays it safe, really seems to make the right decisions and gets the job done. Unless Luiz can be tamed to be as disciplined I think Cahill may be choice number 1 or 2 at Chelsea this term in the league. It's a shame as I would love to invest but like city the risk of rotation puts me off their lumpy prices. Good luck with whatever you choose to go with mate!
Open ControlsFood for thought! Chelsea have so many options as CM / CDM that Luiz has to make one of the CB spots his own? Is going to be interesting to see how it pans out after the internationals.
Cheers for the input 🙂Open Controls
Based on form/fixtures:
Agger
Cashley
but then coleman/collins as a third, not liking the rest...Open ControlsThat's fine, cheers Krushy. Let me know if you prefer any other pricey defenders I may have overlooked.
I have Coleman, but he'll be my 4th defender in a predominantly 433.Open ControlsYou could rotate him with Wisdom, instead of Williams. Should work for about six to eight weeks.
Open Controls*Agger
Open ControlsYep, agree. 6m on Agger would soon become irritating if Wisdom rakes in the same points for significantly less outlay. BAPs to consider of course, but 2 x premium plus LIV / EVE rotation and Chester could be a winner seeing as I;ll have Migs in goal.
Open Controls
Vertonghen, Agger & Williams.
Open ControlsThank you kindly.
Open ControlsVertonghen, Coleman, Wisdom, Chester, Moxey
Open ControlsPrefer a little more coinage at the back, so am looking at exactly that but with Vidic in for Moxey.
It's probably a waste of Chester when Hull are looking reasonable but that might allow me to take more punts in midfield (Nani, Eriksen), using Chester as a fail safe!Open Controls
Common theme developing here. Cheers primetime. 🙂
Open Controls
I think I'm now virtually set on 2 things
1) Giroud over Sturridge with an eye on Lukaku
2) Rafael over Vidic if Rafa is fit
BPs seem to favour the cbs which definitely adds weight to Vidic, but Rafa is so attacking and if our wingers continue to perform like dross Rafa could be a potent assist machine, and Jones and Smalling are frankly no competition, they may get the odd run out, but Rafa is far and away first choice,Open ControlsVidic will get the odd headed goal from a corner.
Open Controls1) i'm unsure on that one but it could work out well
2) sounds good! how much is rafa now?Open Controls
Thinking of swapping Miralles for Eriksen. To do or not to do?
Open ControlsDon't kick a man when he's down.
Open ControlsI would. Bringing in Eriksen on my WC (losing Miralas.. for now).
Open ControlsFor a free transfer, sure why not...live a little lol. For a hit...hell no
Open ControlsThen again mira scored in the international, so his confidence and finishing parameters will be up. And it's all about those hidden parameter levels..
Open Controls
Mirallas to nani this week and dzeko to lukaku next week?what ya thinking?x

Open ControlsCarlton Cole has returned. Three month contract.
Open ControlsHey Optimus, would appreciate your thought on my defender quandry up above? Played my WC 🙂
Open Controls
currently I will go for that also. Been playing really well, very lively..once he moves into that hole with moses and eventually suarez strengthening the attack I'm expecting him to start finding us the points. Lamela and michu are on my watchlist.
Open ControlsMICHU
LAMPARDOpen Controlsso tempted to get in Lamps but still nervous about rest and rotation...
Open Controls
Eriksen for me with Spurs' next 6 games. Relatively low risk, high reward, I reckon.
Will play as a no.10 or cutting in from the left with Chadli moved central.Open ControlsI doubt Chadli will move to the center to accommodate Eriksen on the wings. I think Eriksen will play the advanced role Paulinho's been playing in the last 2 games, in the 3 midfielders behind the 3 attackers.
I expect something like this.
Dembele-Paulinho
------Eriksen----
Lamela--------Chadli/Lennon/Siggy (Wingers)
-------Soldado-----Open ControlsI agree.......
That's why I said, "Will play as a no.10 or ..."Open Controls
Looks a one trick pony from what I've seen (admittedly youtube videos). He's still only 20 and unproven, so 9m is an awful lot to dish out imo.
Open Controls
Comonnnnnn djokovic!!!
Open ControlsArrrrggg jonny williams injured. Not like he got me any points anyway.
Silva - the update - does it make us more or less confident about him playing this weekend?Open ControlsOK. New to Champions League game, so needing a RMT.
i gather the tactic is to play all your Tuesday players and captain a Tuesday captain.
Then switch to Wednesday ones if the Tueday's fail. So;
Artur / Helton
Boateng Canavaro Koschelny (Boenisch / Izaguere)
Lampard Kaka Navas (Almeida / Tymoshchuk)
Ronaldo Messi JacksonMartinez
Made a point of having a keeper each day, 2 cheap mids and defenders each day.
And obviously, Ronaldo & Messi for armband rotation.
Am I on the right track here and if so, hows the actual side?Open ControlsWish I had time for it 🙠studying Sucks.
Good luck sanchez!Open ControlsCommonnnnnn!!! Djokovic!!
Open ControlsIf you can manage Messi AND Ronaldo, then there is quite a lot wrong with the rest of the team.
I have compromised withe Messi and Isco ...Open ControlsWell I've played it a few times .... Ok at it and have only three of your picks ....
Good Luck 😉Open ControlsTymoshchuk doesn't start for Zenith
Open ControlsCorrection: he starts every second game, rotated with Zyryanov all the time
Open Controls
I reckon with this apparent mass exodus in full flow, Mirallas will score some points this week.
Open ControlsDjokovic!!
Open Controls
Pardon my ignorance but why all the love Walker, aren't there cheaper options in Spurs defence?

Am really tempted by Silva to Lamela. Is this a good move?
In part motivated by Silva's niggle but also a verbal lack of confidence I have in him as a fantasy asset and the fact the Lamela has strong fixtures and is a good differential (currently I'm about 53k).
The rest of my team is:
Boruc (Manone)
Lescott Coleman Collins (Chester Brayford)
Coutinho Mirallas Walcott Silva (Kim)
Giroud Sturridge Soldado
Cheers guysOpen ControlsI would (likely) have done it.
Probably makes this a bad move since Lamela is unproven in this new side and yet to start a game.Open ControlsGreat post on the RVP debate last night man. Its what I've thought all along (that 14m is too much) but isn't it funny that this is the one week anyone "happy" to go without RVP for the season is sorry they dont have him. Its a funny old game eh 🙂
Open Controls
Its good to have a differential in this game and theres nothing wrong with following a hunch on a player.
Those that tell you not to do it cos he's unproven etc will be the ones chasing the points when he delivers.
They're also the same people (like me) who have other players in their teams that aren't delivering 🙂
And of Course Lamela is class, which is the best reason of all.
I say do it!Open ControlsThere is no information to go on.
You can look at his stats in a different league, with a different team, under a different manager against different opposition if you like, as many people do. But what can that really tell you?
Here are some facts though. We don't know how AvB will use him in terms of both position and gametime. We don't know what formation AvB will settle on and how Lamela will fit into that plan. We don't know much of anything really because he's only played 16 minutes in a Spurs shirt.
The cautious man would wait and see. The bold man would get him in without asking. Forca would talk about getting him in for 3 weeks, then get him in, then spend 3 weeks talking about how brilliant that decision was (even if it wasn't).Open Controls
So you dumplings are dumping Mirallas now. Hmmm_ Serious thought to get him in now.
Open ControlsHey guys, easy one, who is better? (keeping in mind Ben Arfa scored in his last PL match as did Mirallas with Belgium a few days ago) 🙂
A) Ben Arfa
or
B) MirallasOpen ControlsI may live to regret this, but I shan't have either.
Open ControlsOooh - big call Doosra! I think I'd like to have at least one of these two at their price range in my midfield, but thats just me. Just FYI, I checked Ben Arfa's stats in the last match against Fulham:
11 Crosses into the area
45 passes - 5 into the area
5 headed chances created
5 dribbles into the area
5 shots at goal
1 fantastic goal!
Tempted? 😉Open Controls
Ben Arfa. I can see both Villa and Newcastle fancying their chances to win this one, so there should be goals. 3-2 Villa.
Open ControlsI still like B.

Little video I put together...
http://youtu.be/QK3N1W0IN24Open ControlsYou seriously make that MJ? I posted it here this arvo for someone. Very nicely done, he does look a real player, I know I'll probably get stick for the comparison but I see a bit of Ronaldo about him. Real turn of pace, can play very direct bit can skip around a crowd too. He's young and I expect him to get stronger as Ronaldo had too also. I imagine this will be something spurs will work on to assist his transition into the prem. Definately one to watch but I'm not going to rush him in until I have see him a bit more and see how he does. But again...if you made that video well done and TY
Open Controls
Looks like everyone has a reason now to dump Silva. Let's face it, we didn't want him in our teams, but the ownership and the fixtures made us think twice.
Open ControlsRMWCT
Migs - Camp
Zabaleta - Ward - Chester - Coleman - Collins
Ozil - Redmond - 9.0 - Lamps - HBA
Studge - RVP - Benteke
Alternatively Ozil - 9.0 - Studge > RVP - Silva (9.8 budget) - Brady
THANKS
Ps c'mon Nole!Open ControlsA verbal lack of confidence you say? Then get rid at once! Anything but verbal...
Open ControlsThis is my WC team for now thoughts?
Migs, Davis
Vidic, Zab, Kos, Collins, Chester
Walcott, Lampard, Sessegnon, Hernandez, JWP
Benteke, Soldado, Sturridge
1.5itb to get in Suarez or Rooney gw6? Is it ok?Open Controlsnot sure about the mid theres a risk with chelseas dont know who will play. Def and attack should pick up good points though.
Open ControlsI reckon lamps will play enough Jose loves him. Thanks for the comment
Open Controlsno worries. u reckon hes a better shout than coutinho. i do feel the need for chelsea players but so many question marks with the depth they have.
Open ControlsI have Sturridge so don't want to double up with Cout also but do think he is due a good awl haul soon enough ! Lampard is the cheapest Chelsea cover with lower rotation risk. If you have 9.3 get hazard over Cout
Open Controls
You seem to be missing rvp? Is your fantasy user interface simply not working properly?
Open ControlsI know I know but my TV is only 100.5 so the rest of the team looks fairly unbalanced with him in and I think that strike force is good enough (hopefully)
Open Controls
Nadal will need a roondog hair op soon
Open Controlshe is on fire right now. Long way to go, but he looks awesome again

Lukaku after GW4?
Open Controls
C'mon Rafa a win tonight and he'll just be 4 short of equaling Fed's record
One more of each major(which he is very capable of looking at his form) and i don't see any reason not to regard his as the greatest ever
The current era is far, far more competitive than Fed's golden years( 2004-07)Open ControlsHope federer keeps the record as his tennis at his best was so graceful to watch and nadals well its the polar opposite.
Open ControlsArsenal are far better to watch than anyone Mourinho manages
Better? NoOpen ControlsPeak federer was the greatest ever
Open Controls
I know what you mean, Federer is the perfect man to hold the title 'greatest ever' because he looked naturally brilliant.
Still, Nadal is a victory for sheer determination and doggedness (and plenty of talent I must confess). He deserves his place if he can earn it.Open Controlsfair play to nadal if he does it
Federer was effortless at his best though
The only finer sight in tennis was ana ivanovic .....Open ControlsI was going to say "I'm old enough to remember Gabriella Sabetini" but i just googled her to find you a picture and she ain't quite how i remember her!
Let's stick to Ivanovic.Open Controls
If you don't get Giroud now, you never will (which is an option, admittedly)
