I remember Mourinho wasn't one to rotate the back 4 last time around. Think that will still be the case with Terry sitting out CL and cup games? Went with Cashley in the DGW as I couldn't see Bertrand starting in the PL, but would prefer to pay just the 6m.
understandably re: cole. If you're right about JT's playing time then he's the best bet from Chelsea... he likes to pop up at set pieces! Are players required to play in a certain number of games in the cups and CL to pick up winners medals? Just wondering if that would scupper your hopes a touch? We all know he'll kit up and be in the photos regardless but I'm sure he'll want the personal medals for his trophy cabinet.
😀 The worrying part is the amount of match time Cahill is getting... even in pre-season. I'd like to think Mourinho is running his eye over him and hasn't made a judgement yet as Luiz surely is a starter at CB when fully fit, and I'd want the other centre half to be Terry.
As you say, Terry's always a threat at set pieces. Probably too risky at the moment to make a call.
You're right about Cahill too. I think he's José's kind of CB...I think he'll be preferred over Luiz however. He's no nonsense, plays it safe, really seems to make the right decisions and gets the job done. Unless Luiz can be tamed to be as disciplined I think Cahill may be choice number 1 or 2 at Chelsea this term in the league. It's a shame as I would love to invest but like city the risk of rotation puts me off their lumpy prices. Good luck with whatever you choose to go with mate!
Food for thought! Chelsea have so many options as CM / CDM that Luiz has to make one of the CB spots his own? Is going to be interesting to see how it pans out after the internationals.

You could rotate him with Wisdom, instead of Williams. Should work for about six to eight weeks.

Yep, agree. 6m on Agger would soon become irritating if Wisdom rakes in the same points for significantly less outlay. BAPs to consider of course, but 2 x premium plus LIV / EVE rotation and Chester could be a winner seeing as I;ll have Migs in goal.

I think I'm now virtually set on 2 things
1) Giroud over Sturridge with an eye on Lukaku
2) Rafael over Vidic if Rafa is fit
BPs seem to favour the cbs which definitely adds weight to Vidic, but Rafa is so attacking and if our wingers continue to perform like dross Rafa could be a potent assist machine, and Jones and Smalling are frankly no competition, they may get the odd run out, but Rafa is far and away first choice,
Vidic will get the odd headed goal from a corner.
1) i'm unsure on that one but it could work out well

Eriksen for me with Spurs' next 6 games. Relatively low risk, high reward, I reckon.
Will play as a no.10 or cutting in from the left with Chadli moved central.
I doubt Chadli will move to the center to accommodate Eriksen on the wings. I think Eriksen will play the advanced role Paulinho's been playing in the last 2 games, in the 3 midfielders behind the 3 attackers.

Am really tempted by Silva to Lamela. Is this a good move?
In part motivated by Silva's niggle but also a verbal lack of confidence I have in him as a fantasy asset and the fact the Lamela has strong fixtures and is a good differential (currently I'm about 53k).

Great post on the RVP debate last night man. Its what I've thought all along (that 14m is too much) but isn't it funny that this is the one week anyone "happy" to go without RVP for the season is sorry they dont have him. Its a funny old game eh 🙂
Its good to have a differential in this game and theres nothing wrong with following a hunch on a player.
Those that tell you not to do it cos he's unproven etc will be the ones chasing the points when he delivers.
They're also the same people (like me) who have other players in their teams that aren't delivering 🙂
And of Course Lamela is class, which is the best reason of all.

There is no information to go on.
You can look at his stats in a different league, with a different team, under a different manager against different opposition if you like, as many people do. But what can that really tell you?
Here are some facts though. We don't know how AvB will use him in terms of both position and gametime. We don't know what formation AvB will settle on and how Lamela will fit into that plan. We don't know much of anything really because he's only played 16 minutes in a Spurs shirt.
The cautious man would wait and see. The bold man would get him in without asking. Forca would talk about getting him in for 3 weeks, then get him in, then spend 3 weeks talking about how brilliant that decision was (even if it wasn't).
So you dumplings are dumping Mirallas now. Hmmm_ Serious thought to get him in now.

Very nicely done, he does look a real player, I know I'll probably get stick for the comparison but I see a bit of Ronaldo about him. Real turn of pace, can play very direct bit can skip around a crowd too. He's young and I expect him to get stronger as Ronaldo had too also. I imagine this will be something spurs will work on to assist his transition into the prem. Definately one to watch but I'm not going to rush him in until I have see him a bit more and see how he does. But again...if you made that video well done and TY
