The Gameweek continues with just one Sunday fixture, as Southampton entertain Sam Allardyce’s West Ham at St Mary’s. Both sides go into the game off the back of 1-0 setbacks last time out and will be looking to push up to the upper echelons of the table with three points.

The managers have contrasting options in attack for today’s game. While Mauricio Pochettino has the opportunity to pair England striker Rickie Lambert with new signing Pablo Osvaldo, Allardyce is woefully short on firepower with Andy Carroll now set for a prolonged spell on the sidelines. That could well make for a cagey affair, although Lambert’s Fantasy owners will hope that their man continues his positive start to the season by adding to his opening day strike from the spot at the Hawthorns.

Our Dugout Discussion chatroom is now open for those looking for some real-time accompaniment to the live broadcast.

The team news is in and is as follows:

Southampton make three changes from the side that stumbled at Norwich last time out. Luke Shaw and Nathaniel Clyne oust Danny Fox and Callum Chambers from the full-back berths, while James Ward-Prowse makes way for Jay Rodriguez on the right of the attacking midfield three, with the former Burnley man slotting in alongside Osvaldo and Adam Lallana behind Lambert.

Sam Allardyce makes just one alteration from the Gameweek 3 home loss to Stoke. Ravel Morrison is drafted in for the injured Stewart Downing on the right of the front three, with Joey O’Brien yet again selected at left-back, consigning new boy Razvan Rat to bench-warming duties once more.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    I paid more to go with Lovren over Fonte , cause Lovren was the BPS king but Fonte is dominathing atm.

      12m I think, but think he's been immense first few games.

      Can't even really fault him today, his role is to break things up and stop the opposition playing football. West Ham certainly haven't been; although by the looks of it they wouldn't even if they were allowed to.

    Good timing to ditch Nolan? Looking at his fixtures and West Ham's form, he was never going to stay in forever... early thoughts on best midfielder under 7.4M? I'm thinking Lallana or PHernandez. Hernandez has the better fixtures, but more congestion. Lallana has set-pieces and seems nailed on, SOT not really scoring too much though. Not sold on Ben Arfa. Other alternatives? Have Mirallas.

      Teams are set up with one of the CB's being fast choice lay off for the keeper. That CB will make a lot more short pointless passes with a huge accuracy thus ensuring the baps.

      Sorry mate, but no. For instance, Vertonghen IS a baps magnet and there's no denying it. Compare his BPS vs. Dawson. No attacking points for either which gives a nice comparison. 36 total for Vertonghen vs. 28 for Dawson. It's no coincidence he beats Dawson every week. His playing style is geared towards this new system.

    This is the only EPL game on today.

    Why? It has little interest to the majority of football fans around the world.

    I know there is European football on this week, but that does not justify why all those teams played on Saturday! What about Swansea, dont they have a European game?

    Regardless, does this mean every weekend before a European week, that Sunday football will be crap teams? No, I don't think so, so why do it this week?

    People should be sacked!!

      Shaw & Boruc here as well.

      Also have Collins, so 0-0 banger would be just lovely.

      ....do have Nolan as well, so it actually pays me for him to do nothing.

    Half-time break. Who would you get to improve DF?
    A: Turner -> Walker or Dawson .. Dawson to lose his place?
    B: Turner -> Terry or Ivanovic .. anyone safe from rotation?
    C: Turner -> Koscielny
    D: Turner -> Zabaleta
    E: Else .. £6.8m to play

    Migs (Boruc)
    M.Turner - K.Toure - Coleman (Ward, Chester)
    HBA - Y.Toure - Lamela - Walcott (Barkley)
    Benteke - Giroud - Sturridge

        He will need to do many crosses to win BPs. Would Rio or Vidic be better choice?

          I think he will outscore Vidic & Rio. He gets into good attacking positions, hopefully this will pay off soon.

      Osvaldo missed a sitter. Nolan had a goal disallowed.

      Southampton edging it..
