With leagues across Fantasy Premier League (FPL), Sky Sports and Sun Dream Team there is plenty to catch up on following the international break. We look at those who have excelled during Gameweek 5 and those who are a little richer after having a great week in our PlayON game.

Fantasy Premier League

We have a new entry straight in at top spot in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game. Hemant Gosavi racked up 57 points last weekend, with Chelsea duo Oscar and John Terry both returning double-figure hauls, while Swansea’s Ben Davies and Arsenal’s in-form Aaron Ramsey also produced as Hemant clinched fifth spot in the overall standings, with 378 points so far.

Tarik Alibou sits in second after a Gameweek 5 score of 59. Seven of his players scored five points or more, with Yaya Toure, Per Mertesacker, Ross Barkley and Davies his chief protagonists. Stuart Hartley slips to third despite double-figure hauls from both Michu and Mesut Ozil in midfield, Ed C rockets into fourth in the Scout league after an incredible 82 points last weekend and Hafisi Nazir completes the top five, sitting on 359 points overall. Thanks to the efforts of our featured managers, Fantasy Football Scout remains at the top of the best leagues – the code to join is 1580-1106.

Wasana Busby moves to the top of the Fantasy Football Scout Members league with an overall score of 340 – Barkley, Toure, Terry and Jan Vertonghen all delivered last weekend. Corey Silveira slips to second after a 40-point haul in Gameweek 5, while Ivan Heneghan is a new entry in third spot – Per Mertesacker and Michu were his main performers from the previous weekend’s action.

In the Contributors and Moderators league, Andy is back at the top, with his faith in big-money defenders Vertonghen and Leighton Baines proving a wise decision. Big Dunc moves into second after playing his wildcard – the decision to captain Ozil harvested 28 of his 65 points in Gameweek 5.

Sky Sports Fantasy Football

Nick Whitrid remains in pole position in our Sky Sports league. Having reached the summit last week, he has now moved 22 points ahead of second-placed Leo Reid on 435 points; Nick in joint-sixteenth in the overall standings. In third place in the Scout league is Josie O’Neil, who is four points off Leo on 409 points. The winner of our Sky league, which is top of the league of leagues, wins £1,000. To join, visit Sky Sports Fantasy Football and key in League Name: FFScout, League Code: 8000112.

The Sun Dream Team

Lee Walpole remains at the top of our Sun Dream Team with a score of 431 points – his ploy to load up on six Spurs and three Arsenal players has certainly proven the correct tactic so far. Paul Williams is back in second on 397 points – all 11 of his players are from Tottenham – while John David Nicol takes third spot, with all but two of his players representing the north London duo. To join visit The Sun Dream Team, league name: Fantasy Football Scout, password: ReWOZhn1T1 and PIN: 8061654.

PlayON

Chris Robinson was the winner of PlayON’s £1,000 guaranteed game last weekend. He picked up a haul of £300 thanks to his decision to load up on three of Chelsea’s backline and Leighton Baines, while Stephane Sessegnon, Bacary Sagna and Yohan Cabaye – all highlighted in our picks article last week – ensured Chris was in the money. Tony Biswas earned second spot and a cash prize of £200, while Lionel Payne’s third place finish resulted in a £119 pay-out.

In our exclusive Fantasy Football Scout PlayON £2 game a total of £114 was on the table. Chris Robinson cleaned up here, too, earning £39.74, while Paul Thornden (£26.64) and Jason Turner (£20.16) took second and third spot respectively.

The missus was in the top 3k last season by keeping things simple and not trying to be too clever and overlook the obvious. She has bought Yaya in for Walcott (and Ramsay in for Morison).

    Got some conflicting issues here:

Tottenham are playing Chelsea so Terry and Coleman conflict

Swansea are playing Arsenal so Michu conflicts with Ozil, Giroud and Ramsey...

I have an active WC, so I am wondering if anyone could give me some advice, should i move out michu and switch him for someone who won't conflict? also, who would you transfer Terry or Coleman? or would you even transfer them?

Here is my current team 🙂

    Mig (Boruc)
Dawson - Terry - Coleman (Lowton - Brayford)
Ozil - Michu - Barkley - Ramsey (Whittingham)
    Rooney - Giroud (C) - Suarez (VC)

They dont conflict much at all.

You can still get 2x CS for Terry and Coleman and attacking stats for the SWA and ARS attackers.

      I wouldnt worry about it.

I don't like Lowton or Brayford. You could bring in Burner or Reither for around the same prices and they actually play. I think you have too much Arsenal cover too. I'd say go for Brady or Moses.

On a wc, plan for the long term... about a 6-week horizon at least.
Defenders vs defenders or attackers vs attackers are not real conflicts. Chelsea-Tottenham could finish 0-0, while Arsenal-Swansea could be 2-2.
If you're happy with the team long term then stick with it.

Need to drop Walcott and Benteke.

    A.) Rooney/Aguero and Moses

    B.) Bent and Ozil

Should I do both for -8?

    Just 1 for -4?

    Or none? Cheers!

Maybe just Rooney in for Benteke if you can afford it. Depends who is 1st bench to cover Walcott as Liverpool arent exactly free scoring at the moment.

There is the INT break soon which means Wally wont miss much time.

I have no money in the bank, so I'd have to make 2 trades to bring in a heavy. So it's either Moses or Bent if I do one trade, the two at once, or none and I have Walker coming in off the bench.

I don't have Michu, but I want to wait two GWs to drop for Lampard as I already have Oscar, but I will play both next GW against Norwich, then have 2 trades for the INT break.

            I do have Giroud though.

Bent and Özil might be worth it. I dropped Walcott and Benteke earlier this week to catch price rises of the replacements. Risky I admit but when players aren't playing hits to replace them can prove profitable points wise as well. Who was your FT?

My FT was Clyne in for Chester. I did it early after realized I had just enough to do it; he fit perfectly. But now I find myself with some conflicting defenders/attackers on my team and players with poor fixtures.

            Not sure what to do...

Now I own him after a panicky beat the price drops Walcott out Rooney in double manoeuvre.
I now own Ravel, Pennant (YES PENNANT) and Arnousomethingvic and that's just my midfield, my only keeper might not play again this season and my defence consists of Pablo Zabaleta.

Im not getting the Arnie love right now. Sure they have good fixtures and he got an assist last week, but he was poor for the vast majority of the Arsenal game. The commentators couldnt believe he didnt get subbed off at half time let alone play the whole game. He was exhausted and isnt handling the pace of the premier leagues.

I think Moses shouldn't be benched if he's really nailed on, considering LIV is now out of COC. Unless your 4 playing Defenders are really, really hard to drop. But hey, it's your call.

    A) Vidic + Clyne

I am leaning towards B as it will give me Coleman, Ferdinand and Dawson who can be played in rotation with Burner and Wilson

Q3) A) 3 big hitters in mid and 2 cheapies to rotate (ozil, michu, erikson, barkly, brady) or

And the 1.83 includes the option of Rooney scoring 6 goals but city won't neo 6 clean sheets 😀

Flip a coin between HBA Barkley and Brady. I think you may have it right though. Rooney will be my captain choice aswell.
