With leagues across Fantasy Premier League (FPL), Sky Sports and Sun Dream Team there is plenty to catch up on following the international break. We look at those who have excelled during Gameweek 5 and those who are a little richer after having a great week in our PlayON game.

Fantasy Premier League

We have a new entry straight in at top spot in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game. Hemant Gosavi racked up 57 points last weekend, with Chelsea duo Oscar and John Terry both returning double-figure hauls, while Swansea’s Ben Davies and Arsenal’s in-form Aaron Ramsey also produced as Hemant clinched fifth spot in the overall standings, with 378 points so far.

Tarik Alibou sits in second after a Gameweek 5 score of 59. Seven of his players scored five points or more, with Yaya Toure, Per Mertesacker, Ross Barkley and Davies his chief protagonists. Stuart Hartley slips to third despite double-figure hauls from both Michu and Mesut Ozil in midfield, Ed C rockets into fourth in the Scout league after an incredible 82 points last weekend and Hafisi Nazir completes the top five, sitting on 359 points overall. Thanks to the efforts of our featured managers, Fantasy Football Scout remains at the top of the best leagues – the code to join is 1580-1106.

Wasana Busby moves to the top of the Fantasy Football Scout Members league with an overall score of 340 – Barkley, Toure, Terry and Jan Vertonghen all delivered last weekend. Corey Silveira slips to second after a 40-point haul in Gameweek 5, while Ivan Heneghan is a new entry in third spot – Per Mertesacker and Michu were his main performers from the previous weekend’s action.

In the Contributors and Moderators league, Andy is back at the top, with his faith in big-money defenders Vertonghen and Leighton Baines proving a wise decision. Big Dunc moves into second after playing his wildcard – the decision to captain Ozil harvested 28 of his 65 points in Gameweek 5.

Sky Sports Fantasy Football

Nick Whitrid remains in pole position in our Sky Sports league. Having reached the summit last week, he has now moved 22 points ahead of second-placed Leo Reid on 435 points; Nick in joint-sixteenth in the overall standings. In third place in the Scout league is Josie O’Neil, who is four points off Leo on 409 points. The winner of our Sky league, which is top of the league of leagues, wins £1,000. To join, visit Sky Sports Fantasy Football and key in League Name: FFScout, League Code: 8000112.

The Sun Dream Team

Lee Walpole remains at the top of our Sun Dream Team with a score of 431 points – his ploy to load up on six Spurs and three Arsenal players has certainly proven the correct tactic so far. Paul Williams is back in second on 397 points – all 11 of his players are from Tottenham – while John David Nicol takes third spot, with all but two of his players representing the north London duo. To join visit The Sun Dream Team, league name: Fantasy Football Scout, password: ReWOZhn1T1 and PIN: 8061654.

PlayON

Chris Robinson was the winner of PlayON’s £1,000 guaranteed game last weekend. He picked up a haul of £300 thanks to his decision to load up on three of Chelsea’s backline and Leighton Baines, while Stephane Sessegnon, Bacary Sagna and Yohan Cabaye – all highlighted in our picks article last week – ensured Chris was in the money. Tony Biswas earned second spot and a cash prize of £200, while Lionel Payne’s third place finish resulted in a £119 pay-out.

In our exclusive Fantasy Football Scout PlayON £2 game a total of £114 was on the table. Chris Robinson cleaned up here, too, earning £39.74, while Paul Thornden (£26.64) and Jason Turner (£20.16) took second and third spot respectively.

I reckon he will be rested in alot of home league games (recurring back injury I think).
Don't think he played alot last year and can see the same again plus he's shite at the moment and his attitude sucks right now aswell, he is however going up for alot more corners recently so maybe his back isn't as bad as it was.
          It's also 4:40am so...............

Nastasic, Rangel, Huth.......with that squad you could gamble on Kolarov, he could be a massive points scorer if he keeps playing (I don't know story with Clichy)

Eriksen is very influential for Spuds though. I watched him on his debut and his stats were amazing. He's the one player on w/c I fear for not having.

I think i'm done with my WC selection.

    Migs Lewis
    Baines Williams Fonte Wilson 4.0
    Ozil Michu Arnau Barkley Ravel
    Suarez Rooney Giroud.

Yep, no CHE/TOT/MCI players i know (wish i can get a TOT defender for taht Williams' spot) but can't have them all, right?

On another note, 4-3-3 is the new 3-4-3.

      dont really like it, sorry!

Ravel won't play much for me in the near future. I think he has the potential to become Sterling/Puncheon of last season, if he can cement a place in the starting line up.

arnau and barkley dont rotate well but i'd play the one with relatively easier fix.

I can do that, actually. But sorry, Baines is locked in my team now. 😉

3 budget mids + 3 budget defs + 1 not fully nailed on Dawson. Why Jafs?

Too many big hitters all around isn't helping but fair play if you feel all of them will bang in the points.

Hehe...What happened to the era of the ubers?

Just feels you're going to need 2 transfers to get any other good mid. What happens when you want Walc/Oscar/HBA/Eriksen, etc in the future? Would try to maintain the flexibility of the team. You're gonna have to chose between baines and Suarez

I'm not drawn to Oscar as I just don't see him as a ff asset.
Likewise HBA who I have warned others off for weeks.
Eriksen is the only one appeals tbh. That's the problem: there are no decent mids this year.

Swans and Soton have pretty good fixtures. If Williams don't play against Arsenal this week (which something i don't mind), i'd have Baines, Wilson & Fonte at home. You're right, not the best D to keep CS every week but i like it being top-heavy 😉

Have narrowed it down...how does this one look?

    A:
    Boruc • Myhill
    Evra • burner • wilson • murner • Baines
    brady • Michu • erikson • barkley • Ramsey
    Giroud • Rooney • Suarez

I think its about 9/10...players i would have really liked to get, a swan def and ozil......another option is to do
    B: Baines + murner + barkley >> coleman • chico • Miralas? or
    C: Baines + murner + barkley + suarez >> coleman • chico • Oscar • Sturridge

    Just for laughs, my team

    Cech (Boruc)
    Kolo Shaw Coleman (MTurner) (Debuchy)
    Michu BenArfa Moses Ramsey (Barkley)
    Soldado Giroud Suarez

3.8 in the bank which I may squirrel away until the international break

If everyone stays healthy, my priority transfer next week is Debuchy->AshleyWilliams

Think I should bench BenArfa and start Barkley, but I have all these flashbacks of Newcastle doing well in games you wouldn't expect and bombing out against team you'd think they wouldn't.

'Pool Swansea Spurs. eyes on. ManU soon too, but only for defense if they show some stiffening.

'Pool was just easier to back the truck up to this week. trying to be on the path to righteousness for the next international break.

Wish I could see myself not making a transfer next week to have 2 for the break, but team's a bit dire with a bunch of nonsense bandwagons clogging up the midfield and a shaky defense not built for the new bonus system.

But every week I see all the WCs blown in these chats, I realize there will be value having that WC later. The chaos has only begun.

For me, Newcastle is that crazy uncle at family gatherings who can be kind of funny, but then you find yourself corned talking to him, and he's gone a bit too far with the drink, you enter the realm where anything's possible. I never have any idea what is going to happen with them, perfect team for Ben Arfa as I never know what to expect from him one game to the next, except that in the end I'll feel a bit embarrassed that we were ever related.

Kolo... Rodgers seems to like him until he doesn't.

Thanks for the feedback on Barkley, I've got two more sleeps to switch out and go Everton strong with Coleman & Barkley.

Over the course of a few games I think B is likely to get you more points, but you'regoing to get the odd week where you'll regret not having Baines 🙂

That's the issue.. to Baines or not to Baines. Argh.

    Migs Lewi
    Baines Dawson Wilson Clyne Burner
    Ozil Michu Oscar Arnau Brady
    Giroud Rooney Lukaku

0.4 in the bank, potentially for Rooney to Suarez

Already? I have had him in and out but I think I'll keep Rooney for now. Would need to lose Baines or Michu to upgrade Lukaku and don't want to do either.

Not sure about Oscar. All else looks good. That is a popular defense.

Oscar's a tricky one - no doubt he's going to get a fair few goals this season, but I think he's also going to start from the bench fairly often with CL rotation and squad size

For members: Go to defenders and sort by creativity. Look at the stats of Mr Walker. Quite something.

Quite nice, decent punt on Bent that I don't have the rocks to do.

      Miralles is a bit meh.

    Two things please lads....

    1. Bench Barkley(home v Newc), or HBA (away at Everton). Brady is my 4th starting mid, so if he doesnt play, whoever of Barkley or Hba doesn't play...comes on anyway!

Currently I am starting Barkley (since i have Coleman, AND fancy a comfortable Everton win).

    2. I bought Rooney at 10.5, he is now 10.8, how is he already 10.7 for me. Not complaining, but I am still learning this price rise stuff, even after three years. Coleman by all rights should have another .1m for me, and maybe Giroud and Sturridge going on the Rooney logic/prices.

Have you switched to data view on the transfers page? You should see your buy price, current price and sell price there. If you bought Rooney at 10.5 and he is 10.8 then he should be 10.6 for you.

Thats what I was thinking...he's definitely 10.7 for me.. I am not complaining 🙂
