With leagues across Fantasy Premier League (FPL), Sky Sports and Sun Dream Team there is plenty to catch up on following the international break. We look at those who have excelled during Gameweek 5 and those who are a little richer after having a great week in our PlayON game.

Fantasy Premier League

We have a new entry straight in at top spot in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game. Hemant Gosavi racked up 57 points last weekend, with Chelsea duo Oscar and John Terry both returning double-figure hauls, while Swansea’s Ben Davies and Arsenal’s in-form Aaron Ramsey also produced as Hemant clinched fifth spot in the overall standings, with 378 points so far.

Tarik Alibou sits in second after a Gameweek 5 score of 59. Seven of his players scored five points or more, with Yaya Toure, Per Mertesacker, Ross Barkley and Davies his chief protagonists. Stuart Hartley slips to third despite double-figure hauls from both Michu and Mesut Ozil in midfield, Ed C rockets into fourth in the Scout league after an incredible 82 points last weekend and Hafisi Nazir completes the top five, sitting on 359 points overall. Thanks to the efforts of our featured managers, Fantasy Football Scout remains at the top of the best leagues – the code to join is 1580-1106.

Wasana Busby moves to the top of the Fantasy Football Scout Members league with an overall score of 340 – Barkley, Toure, Terry and Jan Vertonghen all delivered last weekend. Corey Silveira slips to second after a 40-point haul in Gameweek 5, while Ivan Heneghan is a new entry in third spot – Per Mertesacker and Michu were his main performers from the previous weekend’s action.

In the Contributors and Moderators league, Andy is back at the top, with his faith in big-money defenders Vertonghen and Leighton Baines proving a wise decision. Big Dunc moves into second after playing his wildcard – the decision to captain Ozil harvested 28 of his 65 points in Gameweek 5.

Sky Sports Fantasy Football

Nick Whitrid remains in pole position in our Sky Sports league. Having reached the summit last week, he has now moved 22 points ahead of second-placed Leo Reid on 435 points; Nick in joint-sixteenth in the overall standings. In third place in the Scout league is Josie O’Neil, who is four points off Leo on 409 points. The winner of our Sky league, which is top of the league of leagues, wins £1,000. To join, visit Sky Sports Fantasy Football and key in League Name: FFScout, League Code: 8000112.

The Sun Dream Team

Lee Walpole remains at the top of our Sun Dream Team with a score of 431 points – his ploy to load up on six Spurs and three Arsenal players has certainly proven the correct tactic so far. Paul Williams is back in second on 397 points – all 11 of his players are from Tottenham – while John David Nicol takes third spot, with all but two of his players representing the north London duo. To join visit The Sun Dream Team, league name: Fantasy Football Scout, password: ReWOZhn1T1 and PIN: 8061654.

PlayON

Chris Robinson was the winner of PlayON’s £1,000 guaranteed game last weekend. He picked up a haul of £300 thanks to his decision to load up on three of Chelsea’s backline and Leighton Baines, while Stephane Sessegnon, Bacary Sagna and Yohan Cabaye – all highlighted in our picks article last week – ensured Chris was in the money. Tony Biswas earned second spot and a cash prize of £200, while Lionel Payne’s third place finish resulted in a £119 pay-out.

In our exclusive Fantasy Football Scout PlayON £2 game a total of £114 was on the table. Chris Robinson cleaned up here, too, earning £39.74, while Paul Thornden (£26.64) and Jason Turner (£20.16) took second and third spot respectively.

Will Rooney be back on pens if RVP is out or has the duty been completely taken away from him do we think?

What's the best route to take:

    A. Eriksen + bench fodder
    B. Paulinho + Barkley

with this lineup, on a WC with 0.4 ITB:

    Mignolet (Lewis)
    Wilson, Clyne, Zabaleta, Coleman (Whittaker)
    Michu, Arnautovic, Ozil (Brady, Barkley)
    Suarez, Rooney, Giroud

is it even worth it to try and swap out Brady for someone? he's not out yet, and even when he does get the surgery he'd only miss a few games tops..plus I'll probably be starting Barkley over him anyways when my defenders don't all have easy clean sheet potential

blah damn hernias..could go Sidwell or Kasami given Fulham's ultra easy schedule but I don't like Fulham much..

Morrisson costs 0.7 more than Brady and Paulinho is technically a holding mid iirc even though he's been scoring goals lately..I expect Eriksen and Lamela to take over more of the creation duties..

and what's wrong with mid-price mids? points is points :O

doy, I knew he meant Ravel and I looked at the name Morrison and then I ignored the WBA next to it 😛 my mistake

I considered Ramsey but to have BOTH him and Ozil in the mid, and then Giroud up top? a bit reliant on one team I think even if their schedule is relatively kind

Yeah but are there any other really good options in that bracket. I've got him purely for the price rise. His stock is only gonna carry on rising if he nabs points on Saturday. Ride the rise and then ditch.

Unless you can substantially upgrade then you may as well keep.

              Or go Moses 🙂

see that all rests on swapping Zab for Nasty..already did the Whittaker->Turner trade because you were right, no point not having that .2 in the bank..but Nastasic doesn't really contribute on the attacking front, he's just cheap for steady cleansheets..

                  That's the problemo I'm afraid.

No attacking threat although he did get 3 BAPS against Stoke. Cleanie may still yield 7/8 points.

Look at it like this, they were absolutely sensational against United. Should have kept a clean sheet. Cardiff is the only anomaly and that was cos they had Lescott and Garcia playing.

If I could get him I would, mind you I would rather have Walker. Can't afford either

I think Paulinho is fine as a third mid. Chipping in with the odd goal and assists.

Lamela could be very interesting down the line. Worth monitoring.

Eriksen will provide a steady trickle of points.

Yep I agree no point having a 5.2 if he's hardly gonna play.

Mid price options are thin on the ground so you may as well punt on Arnau as long as it allows you to upgrade elsewhere.

Any reason for Whittaker? Those 4 in front of him are more than enough. Just get Turner to save some coins

Plus I agree about Nasty. Great value

        I'm considering now Whittaker-->Rosenior, Zab-->Walker, Brady-->Ramsey

Morrison is such a headcase who knows what he'll do, Nastasic doesn't provide much attacking threat and I see Paulinho fading as a fantasy pick once Eriksen and Lamela start to gel and at 7 he's a bit expensive if you ask me..

        hmm

    Migs*/Boruc*

    Ivano*/Coleman*/Ward*/Fonte*/Nastasic

    Michu /Ramsey/Yaya/Eriksen/R. Morrison*

Rooney (C)/Soldado*/Giroud* with 0.5 in bank

    So it's Rooney/Michu/Ramsey/Yaya/Eriksen/Nasty in....

Too Spurs heavy? I really think Soldado is about to come good and Eriksen looks filthy already...I'm going to dub him "the bargain Ozil".

Hey guys these are my 3 options what would use recommend?
I heard from someone that sturridge was poor against united and he was drifting wide while suarez was getting all of the service through the middle.
1- Sturridge -> Suarez -4 (he could start off with a bang against 3 of the worst defending teams)
2- Sturridge -> Rooney -4 (great form and a good run)
3- Keep sturridge and assess next week.

I looked into getting BT Sports but they don't do multiroom on Sky, they expect you to pay £15/month for every sky box you want it on. I think not.

Stupid to pay £15 for bt sport. Just get bt phone and broadband, they then throw in bt sport free, You then have uk wide hi fi hot spot coverage. I pad covers you from room to room, 😉

Still only one sky box even doing it that way. I can't imagine they'll have enough subscribers to keep buying these PL games unless they sort this out.

Anyone else care to comment on my wildcard team?

    Boruc, Davis
    Terry, Nastasic, Wilson, Clyne, Turner
    Ozil, Michu, Ramsey, Brady, Barkley
    Rooney, Aguero, Suarez

Other option has Oscar, Giroud and Sturridge instead of Ramsey, Aguero and Suarez plus 0.7 for the defence.

    Which is better?

Ots all the injuries and non starters. People need the rvp money to sort their teams out.

Those who have rvp, hold, very precious commodity.

Just to confirm I was wrong, I should have done Walcott -> Michu (-4) instead of Walcott & HBA -> Ozil & Brady (-8). Yeah?

No, i can see Arsenal putting 2 or 3 by Swansea. Not convinced about Swansea. Good form lately but last 3 months of last season was pretty grim and so was michu. Ozil/Brady route looks better for next few weeks imo

I was doing HBA-->Michu prior to the injury spree.

      End up doing Walcott-->Ramsey , Benteke-->Suarez for -4.

I still might do RVP-->Rooney if the pressers indicate so.

You could have kept HBA since he was fit but it could pay off.
