With leagues across Fantasy Premier League (FPL), Sky Sports and Sun Dream Team there is plenty to catch up on following the international break. We look at those who have excelled during Gameweek 5 and those who are a little richer after having a great week in our PlayON game.

Fantasy Premier League

We have a new entry straight in at top spot in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game. Hemant Gosavi racked up 57 points last weekend, with Chelsea duo Oscar and John Terry both returning double-figure hauls, while Swansea’s Ben Davies and Arsenal’s in-form Aaron Ramsey also produced as Hemant clinched fifth spot in the overall standings, with 378 points so far.

Tarik Alibou sits in second after a Gameweek 5 score of 59. Seven of his players scored five points or more, with Yaya Toure, Per Mertesacker, Ross Barkley and Davies his chief protagonists. Stuart Hartley slips to third despite double-figure hauls from both Michu and Mesut Ozil in midfield, Ed C rockets into fourth in the Scout league after an incredible 82 points last weekend and Hafisi Nazir completes the top five, sitting on 359 points overall. Thanks to the efforts of our featured managers, Fantasy Football Scout remains at the top of the best leagues – the code to join is 1580-1106.

Wasana Busby moves to the top of the Fantasy Football Scout Members league with an overall score of 340 – Barkley, Toure, Terry and Jan Vertonghen all delivered last weekend. Corey Silveira slips to second after a 40-point haul in Gameweek 5, while Ivan Heneghan is a new entry in third spot – Per Mertesacker and Michu were his main performers from the previous weekend’s action.

In the Contributors and Moderators league, Andy is back at the top, with his faith in big-money defenders Vertonghen and Leighton Baines proving a wise decision. Big Dunc moves into second after playing his wildcard – the decision to captain Ozil harvested 28 of his 65 points in Gameweek 5.

Sky Sports Fantasy Football

Nick Whitrid remains in pole position in our Sky Sports league. Having reached the summit last week, he has now moved 22 points ahead of second-placed Leo Reid on 435 points; Nick in joint-sixteenth in the overall standings. In third place in the Scout league is Josie O’Neil, who is four points off Leo on 409 points. The winner of our Sky league, which is top of the league of leagues, wins £1,000. To join, visit Sky Sports Fantasy Football and key in League Name: FFScout, League Code: 8000112.

The Sun Dream Team

Lee Walpole remains at the top of our Sun Dream Team with a score of 431 points – his ploy to load up on six Spurs and three Arsenal players has certainly proven the correct tactic so far. Paul Williams is back in second on 397 points – all 11 of his players are from Tottenham – while John David Nicol takes third spot, with all but two of his players representing the north London duo. To join visit The Sun Dream Team, league name: Fantasy Football Scout, password: ReWOZhn1T1 and PIN: 8061654.

PlayON

Chris Robinson was the winner of PlayON’s £1,000 guaranteed game last weekend. He picked up a haul of £300 thanks to his decision to load up on three of Chelsea’s backline and Leighton Baines, while Stephane Sessegnon, Bacary Sagna and Yohan Cabaye – all highlighted in our picks article last week – ensured Chris was in the money. Tony Biswas earned second spot and a cash prize of £200, while Lionel Payne’s third place finish resulted in a £119 pay-out.

In our exclusive Fantasy Football Scout PlayON £2 game a total of £114 was on the table. Chris Robinson cleaned up here, too, earning £39.74, while Paul Thornden (£26.64) and Jason Turner (£20.16) took second and third spot respectively.

      Great,

      Perhaps Eriksen > Oscar.

Or downgrade Eriksen to Paulinho and get in Walker for Wilson? Can't see much difference between Eriksen and Paulinho points wise.

The .6 ITB may come in handy further down the road to upgrade Eriksen or Barkley.

Worth a punt on Nasri for one week and then switch to Eriksen after they play Chelsea?

      GK, DF, FW - great!

MF - I haven't checked about Kasami, so question this pick in my head. Eriksen looks dangerous, but I quite like the way Paulinho (at 7.0m) always get into the box and attempts on goal. Just choice.

      GTG, IMO.

For now this is my choice:

    Boruc

    Moses-Michu-Ozil-Brady
    Negredo-Giroud-RVP

    res: Stockdale, Rosenior, R.Morrison

      Pretty solid WC team.

Not sure about Negredo in there. If you went RVP to Rooney you could then get Aguero instead of Negredo and almost have enough to get Suarez instead of Giroud. Food for thought 🙂

Why did you use your WC on a Thurs night/fri morning mate???????

      Triple saints defence???
Negredo is always gonna be a rotation risk, especially with cups and c.l, and RVP is currently a question mark.

I am very concerned with where your head is, and I don't even know you mate.

I used WC on Monday evening mate. I choose Negredo cause i don't have enough for Rooney, but Big Frudge suggestion is interesting one(RvP off, Aguero and Rooney in) I will think about that, but i have feeling Negredo could be really classy this season. We will see, Dzeko played almost whole match in cup, so probably it's Negredo turn in that rotation circle from Pelegrino.

They beat a 10 man C. Palace, at home, with two set-pieces.
They are 8th, and look every bit a mid-table team after almost 1/7th of the season.
They got their arses handed to them by us, and regardless of it being us or anyone else, they were smashed.
I couldn't give two tosses who starts at cb's for United, but Vidic and Evans should be, and under Bacon, were/would be starting pair.

      Great D. I envy it.

I think having both Roo & RVP is pretty overkill, considering their premium prices. Imagine MUN having a bad day on the pitch (you know what i mean). I'd prefer RVP > Kun/Suarez and upgrade Whitty/Chester.

    Morning, all of you.

    Here's my current WC team

    Boruc Davis
    Baines Vidic Williams Wilson 3.9
    Ozil Michu Arnau Barkley Ravel
    Suarez Rooney Giroud

Pretty template, i know. Only worry is no LIV defensive cover. Also no CHE & MCI (duh!).

    How's it looking?

Looks really good mate, love the Arnautovic punt and all positions look solid. Only Chelsea cover I would get would be Oscar, and for city maybe Aguero, but your team looks fine without them. No pool defense might hurt over the next few weeks, but it looks good mate 🙂

Cheers BF. I can alternatively do Ozil & Barkley > Moses & Oscar to strengthen that midfield, but like you know i'm a fan..and i don't mind doubling up ARS attack. 😉

have to point out that you will have Boruc v Michu gw 7
Boruc v Rooney gw 8 and against Arnau, Ozil, Giroud soon after. Who you rooting for in those games? Have Boruc myself and prob wont change him, just saying, yno?

Evening fellas, either of these look a no brainer?

    A) Walcott -> Michu
    B) Chester -> Baines

I think I prefer B overall, mainly because I want Walcott long term and Michu has 2 tricky fixtures up next.

    Current team is:

    Boruc
    Terry, Zaba, Toure
    Mirallas, Ramsey, Nolan, Morrison
    Soldado, Sturridge, Giroud

    Bank 5.2m
    Davis, Ward, Chester, Walcott

If it means playing 4-3-3 with Baines inn and one of Ravel or Nolan to bench, I think it looks good.

But ... I might go Michu to save my £££ and hope for Michu to deliver. It may not just 0.1m for Walcott to drop before he returns. Don't underestimate injury, I usually.

Umm.. Changed my mind. Don't let the money sit there without interest. Go Baines!

I just don't dig United defenders at all, and I'd go Coleman + Wilson, to be honest.
      Anyway, I think I prefer A.

Thanks. I actually have plan C with Coleman and Wilson. It looks like this.

        C: Coleman - Wilson - Arnautovic - Suarez

Or you can keep Sturridge and pick Giroud too.

        Like it?

I guess it's for my question above. 😎

That means double Baines & Coleman with Giroud upfront. This is my original plan until I tried to fit Lukaku in and found A that I can have Vidic instead of Ferdinand (but not sure if its upgrade) and Yaya over Paulinho.

Thought A would be better, but it seems not.

    Option A:

    Shaw-Ferdinand-Nasty-Fonte
    Moses-Michu-Ozil-Brady
    Negredo-Giroud-RVP

    res: Stockdale, Rosenior, R.Morrison

Can you choose Brady and that Strikeforce in Option B?

I think that would be very solid, how about Whittingham or Gunnarsson?
Or Maybe even Shaw to Clyne to get that extra 0.3?

Indeed I do consider them, but the chance of Arnie being more of a striker or playing centrally, as well as the punt factor in itself, plus his price, reels me towards him.

Already got my double rise out of Giroud...

Should I keep him or make the switch to Lukaku now, before his rise?

I think I want him going forward, but I'm finding it very difficult to get rid of Giroud...

Already have Ozil and Ramsey, and Baines...
