Back after a five-week break, Granville and I have squeezed in two holidays, two wildcards, an engagement (certainly not to each other), a dose of man flu and a near-on leg amputation. Packed, I tell thee.

The other highlight has been the steady and consistent decline of my Fantasy season, giving my co-host Granville plenty of ammunition. Reclined in his armchair, leg braced like James Stewart, the stricken Mancunian leaves his Rear Window to investigate the brutal murder of my fantasy team.

Once the taunting dies down, we manage to tackle the old regulars: bandwagons are assessed, the weekend is previewed and the ScoutCast team gets some love on its way to outscoring my lineup for a fifth week running. Sigh.

Hobble our way via this link, or cast you ears in our direction via the player below:

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

this will be the next big question. once mata cements regular spot (which might be now), surely chelsea will start scoring more goals.

How does my team look for the weekend? Did Kim to Barkley tonight to beat his price rise.

I want Baines in for Chester but have the exact money for that one so if Baines looks like rising before the deadline I'll take a hit to get him too. I know, a hit for a defender who's away to City, but I have to play either Ward away to Liverpool or Turner at home to Chelsea anyway, so it's not the end of the world to play Baines with his attacking potential if the alternative is not getting Baines at all. Make sense? 🙂

    Mignolet
    Turner, Mertesacker, Zabaleta
    Barkley, Ramsey, Eriksen, Michu
    Giroud, Suarez (c), Sturridge

    Subs: Davis, Ward, Brady, Chester

Amalfitano - ARS stk liv CPL che

Whittingham - NEW che nor SWA avl

The fixtures seem to favour Whittingham, though Amalfitano's average position is much higher than Whittingham's. Also, Arsenal and Stoke City seem to be conceding a lot more shots than we expected them to. Whittingham at 5.2% ownership and Amalfitano's at 1.8% as it stands.

    Who's your pick?

What changes would you do for a 4pt hit this week (can't get either Suarez or Ramsey without doing these)

    Mignolet & Negrado > Suarez & McGregor
    Nolan & Koscielny > Ramsey & Terry/Walker

Reasons why I would do these trades is because I already have 3 ARS - Giroud, Ozil, Koscleiny and 3 LIV - Mignolet, Moses, Sturridge

Am I the only one baffled at how under the radar Saints of gone this season? Barely a mention on MOTD at the weekend and absolutely minimal interest on here (especially written content on the site).. But surely, that's a complete no-brainer. Even a casual doesn't need telling that their defence is prime for investment. Isn't the point of this site to inform above and beyond what we read in the press and hear on tv to give us that cutting edge? Just a little surprised nobody has delved in to statistics of some of Saints' attacking options because I for one see them as real differentials with potential.

I meant a dedicated post, of course they are going to be mentioned in the watchlist. Take the "Frisking the fixtures" for example. In my opinion, and I can't blame them, but it seems people are unwilling or unable to make a call on Southampton this season despite having all the evidence needed to be able to say outrageous things like "a top 10 finish on the cards" with conviction.

Maybe, but the frisking article is based on teams' opponents, not so much on the teams themselves. With mun and ars in the next 6, I don't think you can say they can rank in the most favourable fixtures, even if their other 4 fixtures are blue.

But surely therefore they should be mentioned in the weak? I'm being pedantic I know but it just highlights how under the radar they are that despite being 6th in the league they are barely mentioned.

You are probably right re: Osvaldo but Lallana, with the state of the midfield at the moment, at 6.0 I can think of a lot worse you could do and the way Saints are playing I can see him picking up attacking returns for the 3rd consecutive game this weekend..

Any 4 point hits springing to mind to deal with this rabble - decent chance of HBA being benched too.

Thinking maybe Brady to Whitt or Barkley. Thanks in advance.

      Looks fine.

      Jedinak is good for 2pts.

Tbf it didn't look like he was bothered at all, other than he had to change shirts during the match. Other than that he played as normal.

      Damn.

I'm doing Chester to Dawson tonight for a hit; don't want to see Michu flagged tomorrow :/

Howzit folks, who would you start btw wilson (ful) or burner (NEW)

split btw the two as stoke are a better team and fulham are blunt but they are playing away.

Cadriff's def has been good this year but NEW have quite a few goal scorers in their team
