Somehow, Michu came out of Swansea’s 4-0 win over Sunderland last weekend without a goal – frustrating his Fantasy owners and depriving us of some much-needed “flutter” winnings. Our deficit with Paddy Power opens up, then, although we’re no less determined to see if this week’s Scout Pick inspired markets can swing things our way.

Firstly, a reminder that, if you’re likely to be hunkering down for El Clasico this evening, you might want to take Paddy up on their enhanced odds of 7/1 on both teams scoring in a Barcelona win. If you’ve yet to register an account with Paddy, you can take advantage of these odds right here.

Back to our very own Scout Pick markets and we begin with the shortest set of odds on offer this week. Andros Townsend’s hot form has found him leap a cast of Spurs midfield assests to take his place in our Watchlist rankings and weekend Scout Picks. As we revealed in last night’s Paddy article, Townsend is amongst the most favoured midfielders to score this weekend when he faces up to Hull City at the Lane. With the Tigers missing key players, notably Allan McGregor in goal, Paddy’s odds of 7/2 on a Townsend goal with a Spurs clean sheet look to have some value. We’ll wager £5 of our tenner stake on the shot-happy winger.

Adam Lallana is another midfielder in the form of his life – the 6.2 Fantasy Premier League prospect has returned goals or assists in his last four league starts and with Fulham at St Mary’s on Saturday, he’s well fancied to maintain that run. Paddy are dangling odds of 6/1 on a Lallana goal with a sixth clean sheet of the season for the Saints and we’ll take them up on that to the tune of another £3.

That leaves us with just £2 of our stake money remaining which will toss the way of a player who just missed out on the Scout Picks this weekend. Slotting into the “Differentials”, Norwich City’s Robert Snodgrass has endured a testing season so far but undoubtedly has the talent to reward those who take a punt on the mid-priced Scot. With set-pieces, including spot-kicks, possibly in his locker, Paddy have Snodgrass out at 8/1 to score with a Norwich clean sheet against Cardiff at Carrow Road.

Register and Bet £10 And Get £20 Free

If you’re new to Paddy Power, then you can take up any of these odds and get yourself a bonus. You can sign up via this site and get a free £20 when you register an account and bet a tenner.

Finally, of course, we should state that all these offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions. Also, if you’re going to bet, always gamble responsibly.

That will be a tough game for Pool. WBA are very well organized. I don't think they'll lose like they did vs SOU but it might be a stingy affair. 1-1 or 2-1.

Hard to say, you have alot of defense from SOU, and Baines, Ivanovic is not exactly bench material either. You got yourself a dilemma. Spread the risk and play Migs?

Seriously looking at a Barkley, Brady, Ravel trio in midfield.

It allows for 2 big hitters in midfield as well as Suarez, Aguero, Benteke up top.

Looking at their fixtures, at least two of them have a nice fixture most GWs. I think this can work.

Seems like Özil and Suarez are the most popular captains on here.
Suarez has three times as many votes in the poll.

    I have all three.
Currently on Suarez, but considering a switch to Rooney, as I need to make up some ground in my ML.

I assume the low interest for Rooney is partly due to lower ownership.
So, my question is; would you captain Rooney or Suarez if you had both?
Assume you have no other choices.

Well that argument should ease their worries.

Right, this may turn out a bit long winded and a little late for many to make changes but here goes.

I am a fed up Michu owner and I just couldn't understand why he wasn't performing so well this season. So I decided to look with his relationship with Wilfried Bony. It turns out when the two of them are on the pitch Michu's returns suffer. As Bony played just over a half of football midweek I would guess he will be starting today.

I have gone back to the West Brom game and included the most recent Europa League game.

Swansea vs Kuban Krasnodar - 1-1 (Michu goal)

Michu and Bony both start the game. Bony leaves the field at the 59th minute, Michu stays on. In the 68th minute Michu scores.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------
Swansea vs Sunderland - 4-0 (Bony goal)

Bony and Michu both start the game. Bony scores a penalty. Whilst Bony is on the pitch Michu fails to get involved in any of the 3 goals. When Bony is subbed in the 75th minute Michu plays on but still fails to score or assist as one more goal is scored from a corner.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Southampton vs Swansea - 2-0

Bony and Michu both play 90 mins, Michu blanks.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Swansea vs Arsenal - 1-2 (Bony assist)

Bony comes on during second half to assist the Swansea goal whilst Michu again blanks,
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Crystal Palace vs Swansea - 0-2 (Michu goal)

Michu plays 90 mins and Bony plays 0. Within 2 minutes Michu scores.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Swansea vs Liverpool - (2-2) - (Michu goal)

Michu scores in the 64th minute. Bony is substituted 2 minutes later. I think Bony was fatiguing so dropping out the match which allowed Michu to score.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
West Brom vs Swansea - 0-2 - (Michu assist)

Bony and Michu both start the match and both are blanking when Bony is taken off in the 67th minute. Later in the game Michu assists Hernandez's goal.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So what I am trying to say is that Michu's point return is much lower when Bony is active in the game then when he is not. I don't know if a scout or someone else has looked into this but there you go!

Dunno, but he's most likely to go next week to fund move for Aguero anyway.
