Ravel Morrison is the latest player to climb atop the Suspension Tightrope after picking up a booking for a challenge on Michu in yesterday’s goalless draw at the Liberty:

The Hammers youngster is one of a quartet of protagonists just a single caution away from a one-match ban; he must avoid another yellow until after January 1 (Gameweek 21) in order to trigger an automatic suspension. The others include Arsenal’s Mathieu Flamini and Villa pair Fabian Delph and Ashley Westwood, though in terms of Fantasy interest, Morrison, with two goals and an assist in the last five league games, is the major concern, with a 5% ownership in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game.

Flamini’s potential groin injury, which forced him off after just eight minutes in Saturday’s win at Palace, means he has now gone two appearances without incurring the referee’s wrath, compared to four booking in his first five upon returning to the Emirates.

The Frenchman’s midfield partner Mikel Arteta was also in the headlines after he was dismissed
at Selhurst Park for denying a goalscoring opportunity to former team-mate Marouane Chamakh. Arteta will now serve a one-match ban in the midweek Capital One Cup clash against Chelsea but with Flamini possibly sidelined through injury, Arsene Wenger may not have the chance to rest Aaron Ramsey for the Blues’ showdown as he prepares for a run of games which also pits the Gunners against Liverpool, Dortmund and United over the space of 12 days from tomorrow evening onwards.

There are no less than 28 players bubbling under, all on the three-card mark. Amongst the new arrivals from Gameweek 9, Tottenham’s Paulinho is the most popular pick with an 11% ownership, while Swansea right-back Angel Rangel (2%) and City centre-half Matija Nastasic (1%) remain differentials.

On a bizarre side note, Ryan Shawcross received his second booking of the season for an altercation with Robin Van Persie during Stoke’s 3-2 loss at Old Trafford. Potters boss Mark Hughes was left bemused after the referee in charge, Lee Mason, followed his captain into the away dressing room in order to dish out a yellow card

“Ryan was booked in the dressing room. The referee made a point of knocking on the door and booking him. I’ve no idea why. He pushed him I think but I’ve no idea because I didn’t see the incident but he wanted to book Ryan. I’ve never known anyone get booked in the dressing room before.”

In terms of bans served, Newcastle will welcome back Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa to the fold after the centre-half served a one-match ban in yesterday’s derby defeat to Sunderland – with Fabricio Coloccini and Steven Taylor closing in on injury comebacks, he may face a struggle to make an immediate first-team return.

I know Shakhtar Donetsk and Romania are different teams to West Ham, but Razvan Rat has some good statistics.

    In all competitions:

    09/10
    Matches: 35
    Goals: 1
    Assists: 7

    10/11
    Matches: 40
    Goals: 2
    Assists: 12

    11/12
    Matches: 19
    Goals: 0
    Assists: 6

    12/13
    Matches: 37
    Goals: 0
    Assists: 5

He could be very good value at £4.5m, if he still gets assists along with West Ham being good defensively. Does anybody know if he looks like an assister? Haven't seen any West Ham games.

In order for him to be an assister he needs to play for a club that has a scorer. Ozil wouldn't get an assist in that side.

He seems to have been 1 - 2 weeks away all season though. Aside from the possible lack of attacking threat he might be a good shout at 4.5 anyway. The hammers certainly look good for a few cleanses.

Yeah, he kinda does. He has some crosses, with his age, it's probably actually the best thing he can do on the pitch. No assists yet, though, so I wouldn't bet on it being much. If you have to look for a defender that can have assists, he's probably one of the best bets, alongside Baines, Evra or Theophile-Catherine, but you know it's still pretty rare in this league.

His fixture aren't the worst either. But with everyone getting in Kun it might be a good idea to just cover it. Gonna suck up his rises while I think about it.

Any opinions on these transfers for -4? I am trying to squeeze Aguero in this week.

    A) Walker and Giroud to Martin Olsson and Aguero

Or should I stick with my previous plan and just do

    B) Giroud to Benteke for his good run of fixturies?

    Mignolet / Daniels
    Ivanovic / Coleman / Collins / Clyne / WALKER
Ravel Morrison / Michu / Ozil / Hazard / Brady
    Lukaku / GIROUD / Suarez

Looking at my def of baines/vidic/daws/burner/wilson for next few gameweeks:

gw10: baines vidic(ful) buner (SWA) ------- dawson (eve) wilson (deadwood)
gw11: baines vidic (ARS) dawson (NEW) ----- burner(avl) wilson (deadwood)
gw12: baines vidc (car) dawson(mci) ------ burner (MUN) wilson (deadwood)
gw13: baines vidic (tot) dawson (MUN) ---- burner (ARS) wilson (deadwood)

    Conclusions:
    - gw10 is fine...assuming vidic plays, bad fix for dawson backup
    - gw11 is fine...assuming vidic plays, okkish fixture for backup burner
    - gw12 horrible
    - gw13 horrible
    - dawson/burner have shocking fix on gw12/13 so need to rely on remaining 3 def

Question: better to use my FT on wilson > williams due to above reasons OR do giroud >> aguero, luxury transfer but provides a cpt option for this gw

Looks like Suarez and Aguero will go up 0.3 by Friday easy. 0.4m Saturday night.

Another reason for my WC this week. Wanted both before the rises for the double whammy of top players earning me money. 😉

Just makes the Jan WC sweeter over your rivals when you can spend all that dough for the second half of the season.

I didn't own Aguero after the opening day last season but I saw the agony his owners went through and I'm not sure I'm ready to put myself through that, particulalrly at the expense of transfers and a cheaper, goalscoring forward.

This weekend could be a killer, Arsenal v's Liverpool & Everton v's Spurs. These 2 games will cover a lot of peoples teams or the bulk of them. Im starting to think this could be a good week to use a w/c so its not a case of too many eggs in one basket, What do people think ?

Nah im fine, had suarez already, Im thinking that a lot of peoples teams have 2-3 Everton and their fixtures are stiffening, A few Arsenal too and they have two tough games coming up. Need to invest in chelsea. And tweak a few other things, feels like a good time but its not necessary as my team isnt too bad. Im not sure whether to hold or do it.

Like 3rd says, unless you think your team is woeful and a wildcard will improve it longterm you should keep your wildcard. The bulk of your players playing in 2 games is not enough reason I reckon.
