A green arrow offers renewed hope for a stalling Fantasy campaign as I desperately cling to Granville’s coattails. The sixty-point gap gives my co-host plenty to feel smug about and, as he moves to cover my Silva lining in midfield, you can almost sense the desperation in my voice as I’m left “squirming”.

Positive thinking and Granville’s inexplicable urge to keep the armband from Suarez offers a glint of light as I sit down to take another beating over the ScoutCast airwaves. We talk City rotation, Oscar vs Hazard and midfield failings, before assessing this week’s bandwagons and rinsing through the Gameweek fixtures.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Did not actually.. tbh i watch every chelsea game and as a chelsea fan i'd prefer mata to either. he offer so much more! But it's down to Hazard and Oscar and i gotta say.. if Chelsea had average to tough fixtures(games vs the sides in the top 6 in the next 5 or so games) i'd have gone oscar. He does not offer them a lot to be honest.. has a good shot on him but does not create as much as he should for a no. 10. He does not look likely to get assists which is shocking considerin his position. Hazard on the other hand.. tends to get marked out in the big games. Vs City he did not have much of a sniff vs clichy and Zabaleta and tended to wait near the halfway line to stop any counter attacks. Its been happening in all their big games.. he sits back and takes a defender or two with him letting oscar and torres attack ahead of him. Vs smaller sides(next 6 fixtures) he is impossible to tame though. Trackin back is not needed as much and he parks himself in the final 3rd(our furthest forward player on average). Will make a fool ofmany full backs over the next 6. The only thing that worries me is that he's just stopped taking shots from outside the box.. does not even attempt them(not many anyway :grrr: )

            Summary:
Hazard - Explosive and Definition of flat track bully(perfect for next 6)
Oscar - Definition of consistent but not spectacular returns over a period of 10.
            Hazard for me till christmas

I watched a lot of Chelsea matches and this is exactly what I think
Against easier opponents Haz can be better solution
              And those penalties 🙂

But even against easier opponents defence double him and he dont have enough space..thats the problem

This is what I was saying - you are assuming people are dismissing Hazard because of the Man City game but Hazard has been average all season. His 2 goals vs Cardiff were a fluke and the only other time he got attacking stats (I think) was a shot off target that deflected in vs Aston Villa or Hull or whoever it was in the DGW.

He's not looked great all season and despite him having great stats he doesn't look all that threatening regardless of opposition.

I kind of agree there.. i am takin a huge leap of faith with him this season. i dint own him all of last season(yes, really) cause i kept on tellin myself that he's goals and assists were lucky. 190 points later i realised its just the way he plays.. he's always the furthest forward chelsea player and if you have a lil bit of class in you, you will get points. tbh i'd want silva over both oscar and hazard.. was 0.1 short of gettin him so "settled for hazard. He'll get an ok total IF he starts every game from now till Christmas though so not too fussed

Do you think, despite Torres 'Lazarusness' that Mourinho will seriously regret loaning Lukaku and not, until now, giving Mata a PL chance ?

Johnny Giles reckons it's only a matter of time before Mourinho realises he has to start Mata in PL.

Mata will start soon enough.. the guy is pure class and offers a lot more than oscar. One of the reasons i dint want oscar tbh.. he's not exactly killing it, and just cause mourinho made a comment 2 months ago about how Oscar is essential for his system does not mean it holds true now. Regarding Lukaku, he's a bit too rough on the edges for a mourinho system. you cant lose the ball/go missing for long periods the way he does at everton and did at WBA. Eto'o and Torres* may not score as much as lukaku but they do help the team as a while (*if torres plays the way he is playin right now.. which sadly i cant see him maintainin for a long time. too many false dawns with him)

Hi guys please assist if possible, i cant seem to make a firm decision on this.

    My team

    Mignolet, Boruc
    Baines, Vidic, Mertesacker, Clyne, Wilson
    Hazard, Michu, Whittingham, Brady, Januzaj
    Aguero, Lambert, Berbatov

    1FT 2.8M in Bank

My IDEAL desire is to bring Sturridge (10.0) and Williams (4.8) for Berbatov (7.1) and Wilson (4.5), for a 4pt hit, however i am 0.4m short.

    Options are
    1) Add Mignolet (5.8)to Marshall (4.5) to fund said ideal transfer for -8
    2) Keep Wilson sell Vidic (5.9) to Williams instead for -4
    3) Dont buy Sturridge this week, just go Wilson to Williams
    4) No transfer just hold till next week

PS I am 0.1 short on Berbatov to Sturridge but i can go Lambert (7.2) to Sturridge for exact money.

I would appreciate some sound advice on this issue or other alternatives i may have overlooked if possible

Just over 26 hours to go. Need to work out if I leave my midfield of Michu, Ozil, Brady, Amalfitano & Barkley alone or use my FT & 3.1 to fix it. Could even downgrade a defender to get the 9+ needed for a heavy hitter.

Definitely keep Amalfitano at least. He still is just a doubt for this weekend, which implies he is back for next week. The reports don't say he actually is acutely injured. And if he plays against Palace, and in these other good fixtures WBA will have soon, he can be a budget priced heavy hitter very soon.

And isn't Brady too rather coming back than being just injured? Personally, I sold Brady the moment he got injured and it was said it will take weeks for him to come back, but if you've kept him all these GWs that he's been away, why to give him up week before his return? Doesn't make sense to me.

So, either take a punt with Amalfitano and Barkley, or swap Barkley for someone sure to play.

Heck, the midfields ain't scoring much anyway.

Hold on a second. I've just seen a clueless post from somebody stating Heskey was as good as Benteke.

Benteke was a great player 2 days ago in his eyes, but today he isn't?

This is the same person who thinks Mandzukic is world class.

This is the same person who thinks Van Persie is overrated after finishing top goalscorer 2 years in a row.

    Laughable.

      i did it for banter

benteke is good lad and way better than heskey but he will never be at mandzukic level

in team full of starts mandzukic constantly delivering and he is way better than benteke

Man City vs Norwich City Stats

    - Since Norwich returned to the Premier League in 11/12 season, there have been 4 games between them, Man City winning 3, Norwich 1.
    - In those games, there have been a whopping total of 25 goals scored. 17 of those goals have been scored by Man City.
    - Sergio Aguero has scored 4 goals, and assisted 1 in 292 minutes of football vs Norwich.
    - Yaya Toure has scored 1 and assisted 6 goals in 4 games against the Canaries.
    - Edin Dzeko has scored 3 goals and assisted 2 in 4 games against Norwich.

Going Further back to the 04/05 season when Norwich were last in the Premier League, the game at Carrow Road was won by Man City 3-2, and the return game finished 1-1.

So it's fair to say there is normally goals in this fixture, so it will probably be a 1-0. Aguero (c) for anyway 😀

Seems reasonable, his ownership was extremely high and with so many options; Suarez and Aguero looking bang in form, Benteke back, Rooney in beast mode, Sturridge on fire, Lukaku on the cheap... people are bound to look elsewhere.

Aguero vs Giroud fixtures is probably the main reason though.

The frenchman will be facing a very tough run of games while Aguero has favourable fixtures and is, historically, the more consistent player.

So Williams is top of the updated defenders watch list and Chico doesn't even make it onto the list...what gives?

Very rare (possibly never) that two defenders from the same team would be on the watchlist. Williams carries a bit more attacking/bonus threat so he gets the nod.

Ah I see, just worried that he lost a leg in a freak yachting accident or something.

Haha, no, it's just if the watchlist went down those lines there'd be entire back fours from some teams on it.

Chico got an assist 2 weeks ago and should've scored last week...

Coleman & Idk unless you think Swansea will get a CS as Williams is a bap magnet.

Hello FFS, after a nice Halloween celebration I'm feeling generous.

So, I will give you all a golden tip. Some of you may find it to be that differential you were looking for.

Here it is. DAVID LUIZ. After being publicly challenged by Mou and having to do with a place on the bench for a CL and premier league game, he looked revitalized in capital one while Cahill made more mistakes. What this all means? CS and a 30 yard cracker with long range passing capable of generating assists at any moment.
