In the first instalment of a new, weekly article for members, we conduct some in-depth statistical analysis into one of the most crucial aspects in any given Gameweek – just who we entrust with the Fantasy armband. This week the options are plentiful – Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham all feature at home, City travel to basement-dwellers Sunderland, while a couple of Belgians are also in the running as clear captain contenders.       Nope. They had some great players in the 80's and 90's and still couldn't qualify. Speed, Hughes, Rush etc.

        European Championships in 2016 will have 24 teams instead of 16. I think it's possible they could get a spot.

        I'm not Welsh by the way, would just like to see them there.

          Good point. Completely devalues getting there of course. Why not just invite everybody? This is the EU way of doing things.

      Unlikely….

      Closest we got was the team which slipped up against Romania.
      I remember England needing to stuff San Marino to qualify and they gave away a goal within the first few minutes. BBC started switching to the Wales game. Boy were we close !
      Didn't Bowen smash one over the bar which cost us the chance ??

      Ah, those were the days for Welsh football.
      Giggs, Saunders, Rush, Hughes - that was a hell of a front-line….
      Van Den Hauwe, Ratcliffe & Nev Southall our axis at the back….but playing 4-2-4 was a bit optimistic 😉
