These are hazardous times. Shopping in midfield is a thankless task, with little value and consistency on offer, aside from a pair of dominant forces who threaten to break the season, along with the hearts and minds of those too stubborn to jump on board their seemingly relentless bandwagons.

In this latest episode of the podcast, I lay the blame for my inept season squarely at the feet of my failing midfield and my reluctance to give Aaron Ramsey the time of day. Oh, how I crave those predictable days of the ever-reliable “Power Five”.

Granville does his best to ensure that my moans fall on sympathetic ears, although his sniggering gives him away on more than one occasion. In between giggles, my co-host joins me to dissect the week’s transfer activity, preview the weekend’s fixtures and mastermind another mediocre Gameweek for the ScoutCast lineup.

Morning folks! Got a bit of a dilemma..

Got a gr8 team this week if things go as planned. However,
1. My bench is very thin as reid is supposed to be out for 6+ weeks and Brady is supposed to be out this week(Demi posted it yesterday)
2. Agger has been pencilled in to start this week accordin to the rumblings from Anfield and a shift to 4-4-2 is likely which could leave Toure out in the cold(Trained in a different bib too :wink:)
3. Hazard and Mirallas may or may not start this week as has been well documented on here.
Question is do i do Reid to GJ. Wanted him from next week anyway and with my growing number of concerns @home to Fulham could be the perfect week to get him in. If pool plays 3-5-2 i get a Winger vs Fulham.. if pool play 4-4-2 Toure could see the bench and i get Liverpool defense cover in GJ.

  I'm planning on acquiring GJ next week but great if you can get him this week. Liverpud have great fixxies.
  
  Stick with Mirallas and Hazza. You have no pressing concerns otherwise so find a replacement for your defenders over the next two weeks.

  You could wait a week and see what happens with Toure and get in Agger or Enrique in as they will be falling in price and their value will be equal or near to GJ's. I have GJ but he gets injured too much and i will have to take him out sooner or later.

        there's a bib theory already out. Toure and Sakho were wearing different bibs coloured bibs compared to the usual first team but that could be cause they are playin and BR wanted to test them vs the first team attackers for practice

  I would just wait till Enrique is deemed fit, he is a much better purchase then GJ. I had Enrique then sold him for GJ, when he was injured, looking at brining him back in the future though.

    always rated GJ though... owned him every season from his portsmouth days. 5 assists and 2-3 goals over 2 seasons b4 he got priced above 7 million and i could not afford him again. @ 5.7 he seems a bargain. would pick him over enrique anyday(though his injury problems have become a worry)

      Really? There is no doubt GJ is great value at 5.7. But by the time Enrique is deemed fit he will be in around 5.7 too, and Enrique is way more attacking minded and links up better with Suarez.

  No one really has there hand up as an obvious choice I'm afraid.
  I went Hazard but he may be benched.
  Silva is an injury doubt.
  Oscar is... a Che mid.
  Coutinho is a punt that some are willing to take because the above three options are a bit... meh.

      i know.. hence why i said norwich have been tight at home 🙂 .. people only look at the last result and make decisions. 5 goals at home in the last 4.. 3 of which were vs Chelsea and they played pretty well that game(conceded 2 in the last 10 mins)

    i'd wager barkley starts.. osman had his one good game in 10 two weeks ago and was pretty bad last week. Barkley came on and turned the game around(got his rest too)
