  it depends, I can't do it myself as in my amateur league. Get lots of muscle soreness if you play competitively + chance for long term injury

  Fitness wise they can but the closer the games are together the higher the risk of injury. I read an article from the old Milan Physio and he said that one game a week and a player has a 10% chance of injury if they play again with at least 48 hours rest then the risk is 20%. These guys are playing at 100% its not like they are having a jog around the park.
