We roll out the third and final instalment of this week’s recommended player picks for the next four to six Gameweeks this evening. Having looked at The Defence and The Midfield, it’s the turn of the forwards – you won’t be surprised see a certain Uruguayan keeps his place at the summit after last night’s demolition of Norwich:

Luis Suarez continues to lead the way after four goals and an assist against the Canaries took his tally to 99 Fantasy Premier League (FPL) points in just nine appearances for the season. Averaging 11 points per game since returning from suspension, the Liverpool talisman has produced the goods in all but two of his appearances – two sets of double figures on the road and three at home highlight his consistency ahead of a mixed upcoming schedule. The Uruguayan welcomes West Ham, Cardiff and Hull to Anfield in the next six, suggesting the armband will be nailed on for those matches, though trips to Spurs, City and Chelsea are undoubtedly trickier tests.

City pair Sergio Aguero and Alvaro Negredo offer options across the price range at 12.3 and 9.3 respectively. As with Suarez, their upcoming fixtures are a mixed bag – a trip to Southampton and home games against Arsenal and Liverpool look tough but City’s form at the Etihad has already seen them put four past United and six past Spurs – indeed, Aguero has produced double figures in four of his seven home appearances, whilst Negredo has scored or assisted in each of the last six in front of his own fans. With games against Fulham and Palace also factored into their next five, Manuel Pellegrini’s side look poised to offer up plenty more attacking returns – Negredo’s stock took a dent last night after he was rested for the trip to West Brom but he’s expected to return to the XI for the weekend visit to St Mary’s.

Romelu Lukaku climbs into third spot. Everton’s trip to the Emirates this weekend is by no means easy but following that, the schedule could barely be any kinder (FUL, swa, SUN, SOT, sto, NOR) and is likely to bring the big Belgian plenty new owners. The fact that Lukaku alternates home and away with Suarez may also help sway the Uruguayan’s owners to double up on the Merseyside duo – Lukaku’s above-mentioned trio of obliging Goodison fixtures could more than atone for a possible blank or two from Suarez, given his tricky away schedule. Lukaku has now averaged 6.6 points per game since arriving on loan in Gameweek 5 and his rampaging displays look set to continue right through the festive period.

Wayne Rooney temporarily drops in the rankings due to this weekend’s one-match ban at home to Newcastle. Prior to last night’s loss to Everton, however, Rooney had delivered four sets of double figures in five  and the schedule certainly suggests he’s likely to continue that rich vein of form when returning from suspension. Trips to Villa, Hull and Norwich, along with a home game against West Ham, should see him quickly settle back into his scoring ways – a goal or assist in 10 of his 13 appearances highlight the source of consistency offered to Fantasy managers this season, with Robin van Persie still struggling to make it out of the Old Trafford treatment room due to an ongoing groin problem.

Newcastle’s Loic Remy remains in fifth spot despite a weekend visit to the champions. The Frenchman will fancy his chances against a backline with a single clean sheet in 10 league fixtures – after that, he welcomes Southampton and Stoke to St James’ Park, with a visit to Palace sandwiched in between. Eight goals and a couple of assists in 12 appearances sum up his contribution as Remy looks to recover from a rare blank at Swansea on Wednesday evening.

Olivier Giroud and Christian Benteke keep their spots in the top ten, despite dropping to the bench in last night’s matches. Rested for the first time this term, Giroud looks poised to return for Arsenal this weekend but with Everton, City and Chelsea up next, he could struggle for returns. Benteke’s star also looks to be on the wane after Gabby Agbonlahor and Libor Kozak both scored away to Southampton last night. The big Belgian has now blanked in each of his last eight but the fixtures still smile kindly for Paul Lambert’s side – they have Fulham, Stoke, Palace, Swansea and Sunderland in the next six.

Jay Rodriguez and Shane Long are the pick of the budget options. The Southampton forward has now scored in five of the last eight Gameweeks and has chipped in with an assist and nine bonus points along that run – he looks a more secure starter than either Rickie Lambert or Pablo Osvaldo under Mauricio Pochettino right now and comes in at just 5.8 in FPL. With games against City, Newcastle, Spurs, Chelsea and Everton in the next six, though, the upcoming schedule could barely be more difficult for the Saints. Long has now started each of the last five, producing three goals and an assist, but Steve Clarke’s first-team tinkering against City on Wednesday, allied with a strong display from Victor Anichebe off the bench, suggests the 6.0-priced forward may not make the first XI in every game over the festive schedule – nonetheless, home games with Norwich and Hull and a trip to Cardiff look potentially profitable for a side that have scored twice against the likes of United, Chelsea and City already this season.

    Thoughts on Ravel....
    I got Ravel Morrisson in last week without realising he was on 4 YC's... it was a toss up between Morrison and Whitt. I kinda sided with Rav Morr based on some of the articles and comments on this site without having watched him play much.
    Now that he's on my team and the only game on Tuesday I watched him play against Palace.

    Is there an electric fence keeping him outside the box, he would charge from midfield, pass then jog backwards so as not be available for the rest of the attack. Very frustrating.... really frustrating actually, was this a one off or does Sam now allow him to continue inside the box?
    So the question is Whats with all the Rav Morr love if he plays like that!?

      For most he was bought as a dirt cheap 4th/5th mid. (particularly when he was 4.4)
      Nailed on and got points. Reason enough.

        I see ... guess I missed the boat, strangely though he was oft mentioned in scout articles even though his price had gone up.
        Just pissed I suppose I wasted a transfer!

      Your analysis is spot on. He drops very deep to receive the ball. I think he will mostly be successful when the opposing team is trailing and pushing up in numbers, so he can receive the ball, get past a couple of players through on goal, but such a situation rarely arises for West Ham.

    Current Mid: Ozil - Ramsey - Barkley - Januzaj - Morrison

    1 FT and 2.7m in the bank, Happy with defence and attack

    Looking to do Ozil to Hazard to release money to upgrade barkley/januzaj

    So for a hit,

    A) Januzaj -> Nasri
    B) Januzaj -> Cabaye
    C) Januzaj -> someone else
    D) Do nothing

    Opinions?

      very weak mid for upcoming games you need to change at least 1 of them into a nailed on player.
      Janu and Morr are in and out ... unless big Sam changes Morrison's freedom to get in the box I would dump him first even to Whitt/Brunt ... and leave Ozil this week.

        I know Barkley, Januzaj and Morrison are very weak, I've had the £2.5m+ in the bank for a while, just can't find a good use for it

        Long term, I would like 3 good mids, instead of 3 budgets so I'm not completely temped by whitt/brunt

      Your key problems id identify as Wilson,Turner,Clyne(if out), and Brady (ignoring the suspended players as they are good options after this GW).

      I'd probably concentrate on sorting Turner and/or Wilson as they probably won't be playing again.
      Perhaps these one of these two(or both if you fancy a hit) to Chester/Ward/Burner.(Ward and Burner rotate v.well)

    Can't decide what to do at all before Saturday with this team:

    Mignolet / McGregor
    Johnson, Coleman, Ridgewell, Shaw, Koscielny
    Ravel, Amalfitano, Ramsey, Hazard, Cabaye
    Rooney, Suarez, Aguero

    Got a lot invested in Ravel (bought at 4.4, now at 5.1) and Rooney (bought at 10.6 now at 11.2) so would be a big decision to shift them. Also want to shift Mignolet so I can go triple Liverpool outfield. Also sick of Amalfitano. Really need to prioritise, but it's TOUGH.

    Thinking of Pozuelo as by Budget 5th mid, any Swans fans see any reason why he won't get decent game time? Has he only played more because of injuries? Been keeping an eye on him and he looks quality and has gotten a couple of assists since he started playing more regularly.............

    Do most people taking Howard next week have an Arsenal defender?

    If so i can see the logic, but for me, who doesn't I think Chesney and Jags is a better combo than Howard and an Arsenal defender.

              Don't get DDG, we don't look solid at all

              Chesney ticks the boxes for me

              Clean sheets
              Saves
              Decent track record of saving pens

              Howard only ticks 2.

      If Suarez stays in the premiership next year I'll shave my head. But to answer your question, I reckon 13 at least. FPL seem to like constantly cranking up the price of star players rather than make everyone else cheaper relative to price of the star in the previous year; we're lucky RVP isn't on fire this year or he'd be 14 of 15 next year. They just seem to take the easy way out and crucify you if you get one of the big scorers!

    Got only 1 reply so reposting

    A) Boruc & Clyne---> Howard and Burner.
    B) Rooney and Sess---> Lukaku & Hazard.

    (Transfers are for free. They must be done tonight. Reluctant to lose Rooney. B would also render me Goalkeeperless)

    Got a bit of problem
    Marshall (Davis)
    Terry GJ Gabbidon (Rosenior Clyne)
    Hazard Ramsey Gerrard Brady (Morrison)
    Suarez Aguero (Rooney)
    1m in the bank
    0 FT
    My question is
    A) Swap out Brady who i do not want long term for a midfielder 5.7 and below and play with 10
    B) Swap out Morrison who i fancy until Christmas but play just 10 this week
    The kicker is brady may/may not start or just get a 1 pointer if he does
