Yes, it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, which normally finds us two unwise men camped in the studio clutching presents and forlorn hopes of a festive points bonanza. This year, Granville and I appear sans gifts but with familiar Fantasy aspirations ahead of the punishing holiday schedule.

My Christmas spirit is at least buoyed by the fact that I’ve wiped the indignity of a three-figure mini-league gap between myself and my co-host, although Granville still seems to be in pipe and slippers mode. He’s all set to camp himself in front of the Two Ronnies repeats, safe in the knowledge that he’s got this season wrapped up. I just wonder.

Granville battles complacency to join me while we sift through the ScoutCast regulars and find time to pray at the altar of Luis Suarez. The most effective Fantasy Footballer ever? Much it pains some to admit it, the case for the defence is looking flimsy.

Unwrap this aural gift via this link, or sample our yuletide yodeling via the handy player below…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

They're defenders, but Walker and Ivan for goal threat. Don't think Ravel will pull it off against MU. Redmond has Snodgrass coming back to contend with.

I've taken a -12 before, but never without alcohol involved. Did it over the course of a couple days, to catch rises/avoid falls. In hindsight, it never needed to be more than a -8, but I guess that's how it goes when you meddle too much.

foster back fit is such a hassle as i have to use the FT i was planning to save on a gk..have 1.4m

    myhill (boruc)
    distin mert dawson burner olson
    ramsey hazard coutinho nasri januaj
    suarez rooney lukaku

    Problem:
myhill/boruc >> howard which will leave me with 0.1m WHICH is not enough to do coutinho >> wally next gw unless i take a hit next gw and downgrade someone. If so, who would you downgrade next week?? only one i can see is dawson or mert who both have good fixtures from next week

    Potential solution:
just do boruc/myhill >> any 5.5m gk which leaves enough funds. Only option i can see is guzan or speroni but either keeper will need to start every game for me till gw23 (jan WC)..and they both have a couple of horrible games

Just looking over my team (i was one who wasted my FT early and went Aguero>Rooney πŸ™ )

Not going to take more than a -4, if i take any at all. My rationale is i can field XI and I am not going to (C) any of the players i would bring in for the extra hit.

IMHO.....taking a for a player you are not going to captain makes the hit less appealing! This week, we have an obvious (C) choice in Suarez. i reckon it would be pointless to take too many -4.

I know that Suarez should be the go-to..but:

        1) Fulham have conceded 30 goals this season in the PL (37 total)
        2) Chelsea could capitulate really easily to an in-form Arsenal and a fresh Walcott being fed by Ozil..

I went Lukaku based on stats and fixtures. He was considered almost essential last week, funny how the prevailing view shifts and gathers momentum on here

Negredo will get his chance first now, but if he fails he wont be nailed on any more cuz Pelle wont play him & Dzeko together (same style). So I can see Dzeko starts some games, even push Negredo on the bench (Dzeko is great if he's in form and lucky)

Not to mention Jovetic is back now

I went with Negredo over Rooney. The extra cash gives me Walcott in midfield in place of Bacuna

    Morning.

What's people's thoughts on Kacanalic as a 5th midfield player?

4.6m and has played the last 3 under Rene.

Useful fodder. You shouldn't play him much though.

Don't want to really, just someone nailed on (cheap) as back up.

This may sound odd but I may take a hit for a sub this week incase Rooney doenst make it πŸ™„
