The Gameweek continues with a pair of Premier League clashes featuring sides flirting with the top four placings. Southampton and Spurs get things underway at St Mary’s, with just three points separating them in the table. Later this afternoon, Roberto Martinez returns to South Wales, bringing his in-form Everton side to face Michael Laudrup’s Swansea.

The team news from the South Coast brings a few surprises in both lineups as Mauricio Pochettino and Tim Sherwood ring the changes. The Saints make three alterations to the side that won a point at Newcastle as Danny Fox, Adam Lallana and Morgan Schneiderlin are drafted in at the expense of Luke Shaw, James Ward-Prowse and Pablo Osvaldo; Shaw’s absence is reportedly due to illness.

Spurs make no less than six changes to the lineup that was routed by Liverpool, as Sherwood hands a first league start to Emmanuel Adebayor and recalls Christian Eriksen to his midfield. Danny Rose returns at left-back, with Vlad Chiriches also starting in defence, whilst in the wide roles, Gylfi Sigurdsson makes a return and Erik Lamela is on the opposite flank in what appears to be an attacking 4-4-2.

Our Dugout Discussion chatroom is open to soak up your real-time reactions from this match and today’s late kick-off at Swansea.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

The attacking output of Swansea and Everton is absolutely dismal. Neither have even looked close to scoring, and it's not as if the defending has been exemplary.

I disagree, I think both have defended very well, with entire team working hard.

yes, so you have 1 mistake from 2 teams in 45 min and you say defending has been bad

I'm not really saying that the defending has been particularly bad - more that the attacking has been woeful.

        + 1 both solid units

Its either goals galore and defs are slated or no goals and 2 boring teams.

Its not as simple as that

The more i look at the 3rd striker option the more i think 2 up top will be the way soon.

Suarez + Rooney and cheap 3rd one

    allowing 4 big mids

yeah something like say whits and a cheap striker rotating.

leaving you 4 big mids and suarez and rooney + 1 of the cheapies depending on fixtures.

I rather think defense is what should be downgraded.. Something like this should easily be attainable:

      Foster - Adrian
      Baines - Cheapo x4
      Walcott - Silva - Oscar/Haz - Ramsey/Eriksen/Cabaye/Mirralas etc - Cheapo
      Rooney - Suarez - Lukaku

Even without a cheap striker, a decent 4 mids team is possible. I got

      Krul

      Silva, Wally, Hazard, Ramsey, Oviedo
      Suarez, Roo, Negredo

Disagree. Each season had a different focus so not sure how you'd call it repetitive, and up to the fifth, they were all incredible. Season four especially. 5 was the weakest, but still brilliant.

Would Adebayor be the real deal?

    Worth considering Rooney -> Adebayor?

    Too far?

    Is Mutch 100% nailed on?

I need a cheap 5th mid for next couple of gameweeks.

Cheers for responding. I will prob keep him on the bench, but i'm sure he will come in once in a while. Plus Cardiff has nice fixtures and have resolved Tan-McCay dispute, so it's all good.

Right so im downgrading Terry to upgrade to wallcott. Any ideas on 4.7m defender? Already have Burner and Ward

We've gone from an abundance of great striker options to just a couple (Suarez & Rooney) as Aguero, RVP & Sturridge injured, Remy, Giroud & Lukaku off form.

Meanwhile it seems more big mids are starting to fire - Hazard, Walcott, Silva in addition to Ozil & Yaya.

    All in a couple weeks.

Lallana, Cabaye and Ramsey still ticking along too. Maybe the infamous 3-5-2 will return

I actually think I might be heading that way ILF.

Would not have dreamt that a month ago.

I went Lallana - Walcott in a week where Lallana stopped sucking.

    I hope Walcott pulls through!

    I'll try it on here,

    Current front 8:
    Ozil-Hazard-Silva-Ramsey-R.Morrison
    Suarez-Lukaku-Berbatov

I was thinking of getting Cabaye + 4.2def for Ravel + Williams
    Any suggestions pls?

Would just be typical for Williams to get a clean sheet and 3 bonus on my bench.

Worst premier league you have seen in the past 5 seasons?

Very close between Buttner, Hoovield, Sanots and Squillaci

    Think i'll go with Squil
