Paul With the frantic festive period now behind us, we can finally take stock and assess the statistics over the last few matches. Having last looked at the data in Gameweek 17, we have three sets of matches to investigate – Arsenal’s midfield, Tottenham’s attack and United and City’s frontmen are all placed under the microscope this time around:

Good moves? Ravel and Giroud and both dropping tonight and would hate lo lose value to spend on the WC soon.

If he is protected and you can field a good starting XI without making double sub then I would not take the hit unless you really want to catch Eriksen's imminent price rise.
Would it be reasonable to Evans->Kosc for few weeks, good fixtures and price rise. ALTHOUGH I already have Merte, but Utd defence is just soo fragile. Im also thinking Yaya->Silva after yaya's price rise but then it would be hit.

Both Lallana and Eriksen look good options for the next couple of weeks, i am personally looking at Eriksen as my rivals have Lallana, but it is a close call
Urgh. Just had a final check on the comp tool before doing Cabaye -> Lallana....and Cabaye KILLS him over the last 4-6 weeks. Damn it.
Are Lallana's better fixtures enough to still get him? He def plays higher up the pitch

I fancy Terry to score more than any other Arsenal defender up until GW 24, when I'm wildcarding. Bench not a problem for such a short period of time I reckon.

Definitely A. Carla was a decent punt, but it's just not happening for him. With Ozil coming back, Can risks being marginalized even more.
If Silva is too template, then Eriksson or Oscar might be a decent idea, and could free up enough cash to get Aguero back later in January.

Most of those Yaya points are from his freakish free kicks though. But Silva and Aguero together are an absolute tour de force.

for me it's about differentials. in my ML's Yaya is favourite. only one out of 39 have both. I'm on silva

I think the latter..with Kun playing, Yaya loses pens..with Silva playing, Yaya sits deeper.

Silva is definitely better Than Yaya..good though Yaya is..The problem with Silva is he could easily fit another three injuries in between now and seasons end. Yaya will outscore him because of his missing minutes..

Average points this season just starting (independent of others' situations):
Kun = 8.29
Silva = 6.27
Yaya = 6.32
Basically there's no reason to not have (IMO) Kun and Yaya or all 3 when Kun and Silva together are more than adequate and cheaper.
Now this all is held together by fitness, which Yaya has proven he has in spades.
Highlights Silva as the outstanding option. But says nothing about whether yaya is a better or worse pick than for instance Özil.
Can do more of a comparison later, but one thing in favor of Ozil is simple team diversification.

I'm of the persuasion that the old eggs/basket idea is a pretty bad strategy as it's generally better to put your eggs in a quality basket that protects them, than a shite one that doesn't 🙂

I'm not saying I necessarily disagree in getting all 3, just that other options do exist, fair bit more than exist for strikers for example..so that money (even a million or less) could be used towards a defense for differential 🙂
