Following a dramatic Stadium of Light clash, we can now look forward to five three o’clock kick-offs keep Saturday’s action moving, before Liverpool host Villa in the evening encounter.

Fantasy managers will be fixated on events at the Emirates and the Etihad as Arsenal and City face up to favourable opponents on home turf. The likes of David Silva, Yaya Toure and Alvaro Negredo will be well backed ahead of their meeting with Cardiff, while Mesut Ozil and Olivier Giroud will be amongst the names being watched keenly when Fulham draw up in North London.

Elsehwhere, many Fantasy managers will be hoping for Palace to reconstruct fortress Selhurst Park and earn a clean sheet against visiting Stoke. Meanwhile, Norwich host Hull City and West Ham look to continue their revival against Newcastle at the Boleyn Ground.

        There has been interest, but currently they're working on Pogba. Apparently the players do not want to leave and Blanc is happy to finish the season with the squad he started it with.

        Cabaye at least said that he is now focused to finish the season with Newcastle and look at things again next summer. But you never know how it really is, if a significant bid comes in. Would be the end of Newcastle's season. I would rather sell each and every other player in their squad and keep Cabaye than part with him. They turn crap the moment he is not on field.

      PSG and Arsenal are still sniffing around him, and he would be perfect for Man U so I would not rule out interest from them either. However it would take a very big offer (probably close to £30m) for Ashley to sell him.

      Only vague rumours.

      He's certainly not going to Arsenal, Chelsea, City or Spurs at least. Everton probably can't afford him. Liverpool haven't been linked with him, that leaves United as the only other step up.

      I mean he'd clearly be a brilliant signing for United, but there are only very tenuous links, nothing likely. I reckon he'll stay put

    Bought Cabaye for £6.2m but sold him on my WC last week for Oscar.

    Think that may rival the decision to 'upgrade' Coleman (£5m) for Baines in GW6 as my worst transfer decision of the season :(.

      Yeah, same old same old. Bought him for 6.5, sold him for 6.8 two GW ago when there were injury doubts and after one week's resistance I bought them. How have I regretted that. Perhaps even more than buying Lukaku for the third time this season, lol.

      I have to admit though that your upgrading decision seems pretty awful as well. Hard to compete with that.

        Actually, it was for last GW. Fortunately, I at least swapped him to someone useful, Puncheon, who I was smart enough to bench last week and who scored me a winning goal (bonus points coming?) this week. So not as awful as your case, I think.

        On the other hand, I did that to fund Walcott -> Özil, and The Lizard of Öz is so gonna get boot this week.

    So if a player has fallen in price since you bought him, then does he not need to go up .2 in order to go up .1 - he just goes up .1 until he gets to the price you bought him.

    Is that right?

      What... what do you try to say?

      Okay, easy as this: if player's price goes down while you own him, your selling price will be his current price. If it rises back to what you bought him with, your selling price will still be his current price.

      Only when it surpasses your purchasing price, then your selling price will no longer be his current price but your original purchasing price + half of the price he has risen above the purchasing price (so the middle way between current price and purchasing price).
