Our Gameweek regular for members is rolled out once again ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Liverpool’s trip to West Brom sees Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge place highly in the Captain Poll, whilst United’s visit to Stoke also supplies our analysis with a couple of popular contenders. Arsenal’s home game against Palace also comes into the reckoning, whilst we also unmask this week’s “Captain Unsensible” and cite the statistics to back up our bold punt:

One of my mates got a bottle of Jagermeister, wants play this drinking game tonight. Everyone takes a shot everytime one of the following happens on Sky Sports News:

Who wants to play along here 😆Open Controls -
So who is fit at Citeh? Dzeko? Negredo?
What are everyone doing?Open Controls-
I brought in Dezko. He's created and scored more than Negredo has recently so I;m hopeful he will start/play more.
Open Controls -
Avoiding a City striker. I wouldn't be surprised to see any combination between the 3 start. Silva only for me..

How likely is Rooney to start this weekend? Could they go just RVP again with Mata behind him?
Open Controls-
They could.......depends on Rooney's fitness, although he looked ok on Tuesday night.
Open Controls -
Kun->Rooney was my trsfr...now I'm worried....
ML leader did a -4 and it doesn't look like he got Rooney or Rvp(he had enough cash to do it for free). He has 5m left.Open Controls -
Moyes was very cagey in the presser. Hinted it could be a one on/ one off kinda thing

Is Kallstrom a good signing for Arsenal? All i know about him is he was a legend in this:

Got a shot on him.

Memories

Aye, I can't bring myself to think of how many hours I've wasted* playing that game (and it's various versions).
*Thoroughly enjoyed and miss.Open Controls

lame signing IMO

Fecking bottomed out.
Wildcard team - would love some feedback:
Adrian - Mannone
Evans - Koscielny - Ward - Yoshida - Burner/Fabio
Gerrard - Mata - Cazorla - Puncheon - Noone
Adebayor - RVP - Suarez
Will have 1.1 in the bank for a rainy day or tweaks. Thanks.Open Controls-
replied on the previous page
Open Controls-
Aye - that may come in due course, but fancy Liverpool's fixtures over Chelsea for the next few weeks.
Open Controls

Burner out of the two
Would really hate to go without any City. Gerrard or Cazorla to at least SilvaOpen Controls-
I will draft City in over the next 2 GWs for their good run.
Want to maximise my points this weekend first and think the Chelsea game will be cagey as Jose unleashes some sort of tactical blockade.Open Controls

22.5mil on my bench this weekend, not including Keeper. Fingers crossed haha
Open Controls -
Help appreciated. Pick 1 Yaya and Rooney or Mata and Negredo/Dzeko?
Open Controls -
Lee Cattermole to Stoke, where he belongs.
Open Controls -
How this for the upcoming week
Howard (K.Davis)
Mertesacker / Fonte / Terry
Johnson / Hazard / Silva / Mata
Giroud / Adebayor / Suarez
Potential transfers that I havent confirmed yet are
Januzaj > Silva
Aguero > Adebayor
Since Aguero is out and need a City attacking but hard to trust the strikers so opting for MidOpen Controls -
Purely based on stats. Best replacement for Aguero are:
1. Dzeko
2. Rvp
3. Sturridge
- With Dzeko theres always bit rotation worries now when Jovetic is fit but ManC scores for fun. Great fixtures.
- Rvp just building up his match fitness and could start from the bench next game. Nice fixtures coming until blank and is proven fpl point machine but ManU is currently shite team. Serious captain canditate in gw 25.
- Sturridge nailed to start. Great form. Gets great service from Suarez and Coutinho. But would you captain him or Suarez in gw 25?
Thoughts?Open Controls-
-
Might be. But not too sure what to do with 3.2 M left itb after that. Really happy with rest of my team. But with Sturridge no need to worry about coming blank.
Rvp would be no brainer but ManU havent played well under Moyes.Open Controls

I'm going with Dzeko. Suarez should be enough for Pool, and the extra money goes a long way

with the lack of a downvote i'm going to take this opportunity to say this aguero injury is karma for those who spent 12mil on a player who didn't even start v cardiff and got rewarded with 10 points*
*i apologise to those who bought him last gwOpen Controls-
Not really. You missed out. Again. Like RVP last season.
Open Controls -
What did I do wrong to deserve the Aguero injury and the Yaya penalty? 🙁
Open Controls -
Call it Karma
I brought him for that game, am and on wc this week with him injured 😆
*awaits penance with a shed load of dread*Open Controls -
But he's come on as a sub countless times and scored so why not this time? You have Kolarov knowing full well he won't start every game.
Open Controls -
also want an excuse to post this gif http://stream1.gifsoup.com/view7/3948027/shooting-stars-handbags-ooooh-o.gif

Who is buying (bought) Zaha?
Speroni not under threat by new Crystal Palace keeper?Open Controls -
those saying bring in city/united players due to double gameweek...
am i missing something? aint they got the blank first? dont want to be stuck with 4-5 players with a blankOpen Controls-
They mean work it so that you can bench them for the blank and then grab a few more and go big for the DGW
Open Controls

Mannone, Adrian
Terry, Mert, Evans, Yoshida, R.Bennett
Mata, Cazorla, Silva, Lallana, Eriksen
Suarez, Sturridge, Ade.
WC team. Would like to redistribute funds a little. Needs a fresh set of eyes add I've hit a brick wall starting at it.
Thoughts and advice welcomed.Open Controls-
Benching dilemmas in that attack. I'd downgrade Eriksen, no need for him and Ade. Get a cheapie like Puncheon or Noone and then you can get Shaw in for Yoshida or Bassong in for Bennett, whi might not be nailed once Turner is back
Open Controls -
great team even for a benching dilemma
Open Controls -
Awful team. Honestly think you'd be better off clearing everyone and hitting Auto-Complete button
Open Controls -
Terry -> Azpi
Mert -> Kosc
Evans ->
Mata -> Hazard
Silva -> Yaya
Cazorla -> AJ
Eriksen -> Zaha/Noone
Ade -> NegredoOpen Controls -
After the next two, Mannone has mci, ars, blank, liv (all away!!)
Open Controls -
who will you bench?
Open Controls -
I imagine you'll need to make a few transfers to get Aguero in for Ade when fit (and I don't think 1 city is enough going forward). Mert over Koscielny is a bit of a luxury as is one of Lallana or Eriksen on the bench. Could you do Lallana, Eriksen, Mert -> Hazard, Noone, Koscielny? Hope that helps.
Open Controls-
Thanks for the advice. Think I'm being stubborn and driving with Terry and Mert as they're best for bonus and attacking threat. A more sane person would do the moves you suggested.
Open Controls-
I had Terry in for most of the season, annoyingly got rid of him just before Chelsea tightened up. I still think he's a good pick, it seems he's just unlucky with goals, gets so many opportunities. Mert definitely a better option but Koscielny still pretty good value IMO. Just think it might hurt without Hazard, everything else is pretty much 50-50/personal opinion 😀
Open Controls

No Hazard?
Open Controls -
Similar enough to mine Breadbin. I also have too much money on players who will be benched but I like the options of being able to play strong players every week. Don't exactly know who would be a real upgrade either

Replacement for Aguero
A) RVP
B) Rooney
C) Benteke
doubt whether one of A or B will start ??Open Controls-
A.
Open Controls
-
Slowly being convinced to bring in Sturridge alongside Suarez this week, before I wait for Rooney to be fit. But as a Liverpool fan I don't think I can stand the idea of us blanking against the Baggies just like last time...
Open Controls -
Quick Q.
a) AJ & Kun > 5.1mid (Puncheon) & RvP
b) Sagna & Kun > 4.1def (Bruce) & RvP
c) AJ & Kun > 10.1(Yaya) & Benteke or AdeOpen Controls -
-
So Fulham have got Mitroglou
United might actually get past Olympiakos nowOpen Controls-
My first thought too 😆

Is Demi around?
I'd be interested to know why Jovetic is left out of the City line up in the team mews section although it states in the text he is perhaps most likely to replace Aguero?Open Controls-
-
But seriously, i think he has a good chance of starting. He's meant to be the usual Aguero replacement. Just impossible to tell if he will. I would go with him and Negredo, but think Pellegrini would choose him and Dzeko
Open Controls

Mangala and Fernando deals are both off, could be resurrected in summer. City expect no deals to be done before deadline.
Open Controls -
Which one guys?
A. Play Mutch
B. RVP -4
C. Sturridge -4
Have mata and suarezOpen Controls-
RVP -4

😆 harry redknapp out of his range rover
Open Controls -

Whats everyones thoughts on a aguero replacement, benteke, ade, dzeko?
Open Controls-
RVP if you can afford him, Sturridge if you can't, I reckon.
Open Controls
-
Kun replacements - brief outlook. Forgot Sturridge.
Negredo
Cons
- gametime uncertainty
- coming back from injury
- with the return of Jovetic and form of Dzeko, the pecking order is unclear
Pros
- seems to be nailed on when fit after Aguero, however as stated above, it may not be unclear
- 3 home games in the next 4. City are a monster at home
Jovetic
Cons
- same as Negredo pretty much
- quite expensive for someone 'unproven'
Pros
- differential
- 3 home games in 4
- versatile in that he can play anywhere behind the forward or as a forward (with nasri, milner injured, Peleg could slot him in easy if he wants to)
- is very good in FIFA....
Dzeko
Cons
- same as the other Man City boys
Pros
- has been relatively fit
- seems to be in good form?
- cheap
- 3 home games in 4
RVP
Cons
- cost
- returning from injury, game time with rest unclear
- UCL tie coming up
Pros
- top forward on his day
- have honeymoon period of Mata and Rooney back from injury
- fixtures
- relatively easy fixture list
Rooney
Cons
- returning from injury, same as RVP pretty much except cost
Pros
- Good chance of topping assist/goals charts for Utd this season
- same as RVP
- more affordable
Caroll
Cons
- plays for West Ham
- is named Andy
- has a ponytail
- returning from injury
Pros
- 3 home games in next 4
- cheap
- decent punt and differntial
Ade
Cons
- 3 away games in the next 4
- possible honeymoon period for Sherwood is over?
- Europa??
Pros
- has been in good form under Sherwood
Benteke
Cons
- Agbon is injured (Tekkers plays better with Agbon)
- plays for Villa
- 3 away games in next 4
Pros
- is in great form, has been scoring recently
- good history of 2nd half season syndrome
- World Cup year, possibly playing harder to make it as a starting forward for Belgium?
- differential
Jrod
Cons
- Lambert
- 3 away games in next 4
Pros
- relatively easy fixture list
- cheapOpen Controls
