Sunday serves up a tempting double header as Arsenal get the opportunity to soar back to the top of the table with a win over Palace, while Liverpool look to cement fourth spot with three points at West Brom.
Proceedings begin at the Hawthorns, where Brendan Rodgers’ side draw up in the Midlands boasting twin destroyers that threaten to tear into Pepe Mel’s defence. Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge are backed by an army of Fantasy managers going into today’s clash – big returns for one or both will transform the Gameweek and mini-league scenario for many.
Will it be straightforward for Rodgers and his strikers? Maybe not – only Man City have conceded fewer shots from inside the area at home than the Baggies, while only Hull have conceded fewer “big chances”. West Brom do have a resilient side to them at home and, while the “Mel revolution” hasn’t quite swung into action as yet, today presents a good opportunity to demonstrate progress.
Later this afternoon, the Gunners face Palace at the Emirates. A one-sided affair on paper but Tony Pulis is sure to roll up with a blueprint to stifle and frustrate. Arsenal are likely to need an early goal if they are to deliver the kind of result that will have a big impact on our Gameweeks.
