With Chelsea’s win at the Etihad bringing Gameweek 24 to its conclusion, we delve into the data once again. Stoke’s midfield goal hero, West Ham’s target man, United’s fit-again frontmen and the knock-on effect Liverpool’s downturn in possession has had on a certain Uruguayan all come under our analysis this time around:

good morning kind people .
Main question is should I play Snodgrass at home to city or miralles away to totenham ???Open Controls-

Tough decisions!
Current team:
Boruc, Mannone
Cahill, Koscielny, Fonte, Olsson, Bruce
Haz, Yaya, Mata, Lalla, Noone
Suarez, Studge, Ade
FT: thinking about Koscielny --> Azpi (double up on chelsea seems worth it)
Bench: should I bench Boruc or Mannone? (if I play Fonte and Mannone, I spread the risk...)Open Controls-
save the transfer and analyse again next week.

Some advice on this burning question....Mutch or Noone?
Open Controls-
As a Noone owner, I worry that Zaha will take some of Noone's owners, but it if last game was anything to go by, it's Mutch and Wittingham owners who should be worried.
Then again, Cardiff were chasing the game, so maybe that won't be a regular occurrence. If it's for a 5th mid, just go with the cheaper of the 2.Open Controls

I think by the GW27 deadline as the matches will be played between GW26 and GW27.
I aim to have 2 FTs for GW27Open Controls

Hmmm, FUL going the full 120 minutes and getting beaten only adds fuel to the RVP(c) argument.

ML rival leads with 30 pts. He has had Yaya all season, while I've had Silva when fit. Thinking of getting a city midfielder again now. Should I continue with Silva or opt for Yaya instead?

Not sure the love for Azpi is justified. Chelsea's upcoming fixture congestion will mean rotation with Cole.
Open Controls-
Azpi is about to get a pay hike + contract renewal whilst Cashley is in the doghouse.
Not an Azpi owner but his spot seems to be safe for now.Open Controls-
So will Cole play the champions league and cup games? They basically have two fixtures every week.
Open Controls-
Cole might get cup games probably not much else
Open Controls -
Azpi = PL and CL
Cole = cup games, with the odd PL game sprinkled in possibly
Apparently Mou is incensed at the fact that Cole partied with Arsenal during Christmas plus the fact that Ashley can't curb his minor smoking habit.Open Controls-
Good info, thanks for that SJ.
Having seen the fixtures there is plenty enough time between PL games and CL games for Azpi to feature in every one.
Currently considering selling Evans for Azpi to double up with IvanOpen Controls-
I have Evans too, still waiting for pressers. It would be such a shame not to have him for Fulham (H).
That double up looks good.Open Controls

You will be safe as long as you have a good backup..only the games before a CL will get him rotated.
Open Controls-
Its the 1pt cameo's off the bench which would annoy me though.
Open Controls-
He won't have any of those though.
Open Controls-
Well he has had 3 this season already. If he was to get rested for 1 or 2 games the chance remains, no?
Open Controls-
-
He HAD 3 at the start of the season before he became part of Mourinho's plans. Unless there's an injury while he's benched he won't have any cameos.

Yes I saw that and its a good conversation. Although I tend to side with Elnino on this one and see their run of clean sheets aligning with Mourinho changing his approach during the xmas period. There has been a remarkable transformation since and if anything it might have a detrimental affect on their offensive output.

Could someone rate my team? Good to go?
Mannone (KD)
Ward-Cahill-Yoshida (Kos,Chester)
Mata-Silva-Lallana-Hazard (Mutch)
Suarez-Rvp (c) -AdeOpen Controls -
I bought chester at 3.9...if he drops to 3.8 but then later rises back to 3.9 when he returns from injury, what will his selling price be?
Open Controls-
3.9, even if he went 3.7 then 3.9, same result.
Open Controls
-
Mannone (Marshall)
Bertrand Ward Bardsley (Sagna Caulker)
AJ Mata Zaha Hazard (Bacuna)
Lambert RvP Suarez
All home matches apart from Zaha in the Welsh derby! Bit worried about having no City cover or Chelski defence longer term but 0ITB...stretched to get Lambert in. Gotta capt RvP? Double Sunderland worth the risk vs Hull?
Any builds appreciated...Open Controls-
-
I just think he's potentially more explosive, plays further forward and with pens and free kicks he could out score Jrod over the "kind fixture" run now Osvaldo has gone. Also more of a differential in my ML!

Baines or not to Baines...That is the question.
Like most of you Baines owners, even I am starting to worry about him. We find ourselves asking,if Baines is worth 7.4m?
Going though his stats in recent years it is perhaps not surprising to see that there are a few noticeable changes in his stats . See below.
Season Apps Goals Assists SPG Keypasses Crosses
2013/14 18 3 1 0.8 0.8 1.2
2012/13 38 3 5 0.9 3.1 2.8
2011/12 33 4 2 0.8 2 2
All these stats have been taken from whoscored.com
We can see there is a major decline in the key passes and crosses made. And Mirallas hogging the freekicks is not really helping his cause.
Looking at the next 8 fixtures,
TOT(A),CPL(H),CHE(A),WHU(H),NEW(A),CAR(H),SWA(H),FUL(A).
Nice set of fixtures apart from spurs and Chelsea.
Bottomline:
For people with cash no issue ,you can keep him atleast for the next 8 GWs. For others I believe it is better to downgrade to Jags/Coleman(But have to admit the fact that Baines is a Baps magnet when they do get CSs) if you want to ride their fixtures or into a Chelsea defender if you believe in doubling up or maybe any other defender whom you favor.
Cheers.Open Controls-
sorry for the way the stats have come out, maybe one of the mods can help me out.
Open Controls-
I bought him 3 GW ago - tragedy... I'll keep him for next 2 GW, and if he don't make some big points then I will sell him to upgrade my defence for CHE, MAN C and Distin
Open Controls -
Mods?..anybody?..help please?..Ryan?..TM?..Tinkerman?
Open Controls

Not worth imo cos Mirallas has fare share in fks.
Open Controls-

nice post, despite all this though he'd still probably be at the top of the defender rankings had he not missed 7.5 games through injury. Im gonna cross fingers and keep

Morning all, which of these two d'ya reckon looks best? Will probably captain Suarez or Hazard if I don't get RVP...
(A) GW25: Ozil -> Lallana
GW26: Bony -> Sturridge/Negredo/Dzeko
(B) GW25: Ozil & Benteke -> Sterling & RVP(c) [4 points]
GW26: Bony -> Dzeko/JRod
Szczesny, Davis
Terry, Kolarov, B Davies, Clyne, Whittaker
Hazard, Silva, Ozil, Mirallas, Puncheon
Suarez, Benteke, Bony
Bank 0.6m, 1 freebie, 1 WC (pencilled for GW29)Open Controls-
A
Open Controls -
Ozil+Bony>>Mata+JRod/Dzeko?
Open Controls-
Would just do a straight Ozil -> Mata swap if going that route. Fancy RVP to score big this week.
Open Controls-
Yep. He'll do some damage for sure. But I don't think getting rid of Benteke and getting Sterling in your midfield is a wise move. Rvp doesn't take corners anymore either. Do you like Ozil+Bony>>Lallana+Rooney(if cash permits)? And no, I don't think rooney will play deeper 😉
Open Controls
-
-
-
Thanks all. Seems A is the resounding winner, which is a little surprising.
A few arguments for B...
1) RVP looks like the only (c) candidate capable of a massive score this week - could easily make back the 4 points
2) Sterling could be benched this week given my other mids, and then he has decent fixtures.
3) Benteke is up against a resolute WHU defence - big returns unlikely?Open Controls-
If your gut is saying B, then go with B...
Open Controls-
-
It's weird but I've found recently that going with your gut in FPL works surprisingly well...
That doesn't mean taking crazy punts e.t.c but Fulham at home and RVP (c) with Mata supplying just has potential hat-trick written all over it 😉Open Controls-
Yeah, that's just it. I can't see Suarez scoring more than 1 given our defence this season, whereas United could batter Fulham.
Open Controls-
Exactly, I suppose it also depends on where you are in your ML's e.t.c as well. If chasing a lead then this week is such a good week to nick 20 points off your rival with a RVP (c), IMO.
Open Controls

-

As I said before. Lallana& Studge will outscore Sterling&Rvp in next 4 gws. Only problem with A is that who are you going to captain in coming gw.
Rvp is in my team just because of Fulham game and then he is out for Studge.Open Controls

Pick two to start out of Ward (WBA), Bardsley (HUL), Coleman (tot) and Mert (liv) considering that I'm already playing Mannone and SAS (so there's a conflict with Mert).

He's in poor form. Granted his returns are ok but that's more of a fluke if you ask me. Watching his last 3 games I thought he looked poor and his returns give a false impression.
Open Controls

If you have Lallana, A or C. Quite like Dzeko. Alot of fears he might be dropped but while he looked isolated against Chelsea, Negredo was worse hence taken off early (not fit as well).
Don't think Pelligrini will panic and shift to a 4-5-1 - they've done very well with a 4-2-2-2 or 4-4-2 thus far so I still expect Dzeko and Negredo to start against Norwich.Open Controls -

Would it be so unfashionable to play :
Coleman , Mert , Cahill (parr/burner) ?
I don't really want yo sell either Coleman or Mert for the double up or am I mad ?Open Controls-
Nothing wrong with that IMO.
Open Controls-
It just feels on here at the mo that the double up is essential , sometimes the noise on here can be quite deafening , granted it's not always wrong but Newcastle could easily score and I'm not sure selling arsenal defenders is easily justified - those fixtures ain't that bad IMHO.
Open Controls-
Yeah I agree. My current back three is pretty similar to yours (Baines, Kosc, Cahill) and I have no plans to double up on Chelsea ATM.

Open Controls -
Play Ward
Open Controls -
Very nice team. Might play Ward over Kosc solely on clean sheet probablities
Open Controls-

Let's do it by position for this GW only
8
9 - 7 - 5
9 - 7 - 8 - 7
9 - 8 - 8
8 - 7 - 3 - 0
That's my opinion. I might play Boruc over Mannone, but Mannone is a save whore. Southampton run a tighter ship, and Sunderland aren't exactly water tight. Newcastle should have scored but they couldn't finish in a brothelOpen Controls
-
-
-
Sorry to be a killjoy but surely there's a chance RVP will be benched v Fulham, Arsenal 3 days later, Moyes has said needs to be careful and if ever a game to rest him i would be Fulham at home, do think Rooney the safer pick this week, even if he plays midfield he can still plunder the points ( did against Villa, West Ham and Hull)
Open Controls-
He's just back from injury so I would say he needs the game time. Chance of him coming off after 70mins though
Open Controls -
If Moyes benches RVP the week after losing to Stoke, there would be a riot.
Open Controls -
Makes no sense to bench him when he needs gametime to get match sharpness. I don't think he'll play 90, but I'd be shocked if he doesn't start. I think RVP is a much better option than Rooney this GW and that has nothing to do with me being an RVP owner.
Open Controls -
There is a chance but i don't think he can afford to. United need the win, and RVP is in form. #1 rule of struggling teams - don't drop players on form.
Open Controls-
youre probably all right but i still think theres a chance, managers are stubborn beasts. Roo a lot easier to get in my team though so just gonna hope he plays far enough up the pitch
Open Controls-
There's definitely a chance. He's been subbed off past 2 games, even when you could argue he needed to be on the pitch.
Could argue both ways, but you do raise a fair pointOpen Controls
