We delve into the data once again ahead of tomorrow’s fast-approaching Gameweek 26 deadline. Hull’s new Croatian frontman and Palace’s debutant are amongst the assessed, whilst we also examine City’s recent goal drought, Tottenham’s Togolese talisman and a couple of in-form wide men who racked up the weekend returns:

Reid seems sensible but Im reluctant to get him in until he has played 90

Reid is a guaranteed starter, no doubt. Highly likely to be amongst the bonus points when we keep a clean sheet also. He is still coming back from injury so you are right to wait until he starts a match though. Could happen tomorrow and at least we will have the luxury of seeing the lineup pre deadline.

Demel pretty nailed on at right back. Collins/Tomkins will fight for remaining central spot, I don't think anyone can be sure of Sam's preference at this mo personally. McCartney may be good value at left back but I don't know if the new guy we signed Armero will pose a threat.

If Reid is back in the team tomorrow night and funds allow he is a good pick. However if Collins starts alongside him with Tomkins on the bench I will probably go Collins as he will be great value for money.

Seriously lads, am I invisible or something? Not getting any replies. 😕
Need to plan transfers now, won't have any free time tomorrow.

If match is called off: Bruce, AJ and Bony ➡ Reid, Mirallas and Dzeko (-4)

If match is NOT called off, just: Bruce and AJ ➡ Reid and Mirallas

Thoughts please guys? Need to have these transfers more or less confirmed tonight.

Far too many people are taking this game far too seriously. Now don't get me wrong - I put time and effort into selecting my team and planning etc (top 10k 🙂 ), but I can always sense the overwhelming tension in some people on here.. I can almost smell the smoke coming out of their ears.

Personally, if I have a poor GW, I just look at how to improve next week - I don't dwell, swear, rant or froth at the mouth. People, just be calm. Serenity is nice. Have a break from the screen. Think of good things.

Football is wholly insignificant in the grand scheme of the world. Politics comes first. Women second. Family and friends third. Football fourth.

    So remember - C.A.L.M.

Gameweeks 32-38 – Race to the title.

It may be a while away, but an interesting look at the last seven games (GW32-GW38) in the season and their runs to the end.

With the title contention quite tight at the moment, here is a list of the final handful of games for the top half of the table as the season fires it way to a cracking ending to the season.

Chelsea (GW32-38): cpl STO swa SUN liv NOR car
Summary – Chelsea play ONE team currently in the top 8 in the last seven games.

Arsenal (GW32-38): MCI eve WHM hul NEW WBA nor

Manchester City (GW32-38): ars SOT liv WBA cpl eve WHM
Summary – Manchester City play THREE teams currently in the top 8 in the last seven games.

Liverpool (GW32-38): TOT whm MCI nor CHE cpl NEW
Summary – Liverpool play FOUR teams currently in the top 8 in the last seven games.

Tottenham (GW32-38): liv SUN wba FUL sto whm AVL
Summary – Tottenham play ONE team currently in the top 8 in the last seven games.

Everton (GW32-38): ful ARS sun MUN sot MCI hul
Summary – Everton play THREE teams currently in the top 8 in the last seven games.

Manchester United (GW32-38): AVL new HUL eve NOR SUN sot
Summary – Manchester United play TWO teams currently in the top 8 in the last seven games.

    ---------

From the above, Chelsea are looking very appealing with only one game away to Liverpool in the final race for the title. Also interestingly Tottenham only have a single game against the current top 8 with a game against Liverpool also away.

On the other end of the scale, Liverpool will cop three massive games for their season hopes against Tottenham, Man City and Chelsea (excluding the troubled Newcastle match). The only saving grace is that all these games are at home where they have been proved to be scoring goals of late.

Manchester City, Arsenal and Everton all have three games with Everton’s run looking the most difficult on paper. But again all those games for the Toffees are at Goodison park.

Manchester United with two games – The troubled Newcastle and Everton both away. However, to be honest if they can pull their finger out this run for them to finish the season looks quite appealing.

i'm sure it's less to do with stewards and more the punters getting there.. if the tubes are borked it's a crappy place to get to.. they should just hire the ferries for the day and let peopled for free

"the Club has concerns over the potential impact that the strike may have on the ability of its safety staff to attend the ground in sufficient time and numbers to ensure that it is able to open the ground and effectively operate it"

If staff can't make it they don't meet PL safety guidelines and the match can't go ahead.

fulham might not be able to get all the staff to the ground because of a tube strike

Apparently there are other means of transport to the ground other than the tube. Can even get there by boat

Am I the only one who would embrace this?

Triple Liverpool owners, look on the bright side - a cancellation would be a better situation than them playing and blanking.

Personally I think dealing with these things adds an extra element to the game, especially in times where Suarez (c) has become a formality.

    ivanovic - merte - terry - shaw

    sturridge - suarez

subs: davis - collins - nolan - adebayor

Somehow, in the midst of all my point hits and captain fails, I have managed my first OR in the top 1% of players. I state this publicly for two reasons. The first, obviously, is to pat myself on the back, even though I feel like I should have achieved this milestone sooner than 2/3 of the way into my second season. The other reason is to say thank you to the contributors and members who make this website an invaluable fountain of information and opinion for playing FPL. Keep up the good work, everyone.
