We delve into the data from the previous Gameweek and beyond in our assessment of the main midweek protagonists. Tottenham’s clinical marksman, Liverpool’s faltering frontman and a pair of Villains come under analysis this evening, as do United’s off-form forward, the Swans’ Spanish creator and Newcastle’s shooting displays, with the Magpies now failing to score in each of the last four:

Hey guys. Morning all. Any ideas to do for my team before next GW:

    Mannone Marshall
    Coleman Ward Clyne Burner Ivanovic
    Mata Eriksen Lallana Hazard Pozuelo
    Suarez Sturridge Adebayor

    I have 0 FT and 0.7 ITB

Any suggestions on what to do?

TBH I don't think I need to do anything ATM anyway

    Cheers in advance 😆

I'd save and you are in good shape with your depth at defense in case Eriksen sees another 0 minutes on the pitch. Would definitely look to get rid of him as a top priority looking out for the future.

Good team. I would keep an eye on Eriksen. He might has lost his place. And a playing fifth midfielder might come in handy anytime. Alex doesn't seem to be one, especially with Dyer and next Michu coming from injuries.

I think this sentiment is overrated with your defensive depth. If your first bench position 4th defender is a nailed starter that is likely just as good as a playing 5th midfielder.

If Eriksen's outlook looks bleak after the next GW I would rather sort him out.

Bentelab playing deeper in midfield gives Paulinho more freedom to attack, but if you want spurs coverage it has to be Ade as long as he`s not partnering Soldado upfront (who kills his game).

It seems Sherwood has realized this after Soldy starting a couple games back but then relegated to the bench against Newcastle. I don't think Spurs attack really needs "coverage" at this point but Paulinho may come into our thinking at the mid-priced midfield options yet.

Obviously I will wait until after FA Cup and Europe but does anything leap out in terms of transfers? Janu has to go and Bards as well (temporarily). Not sure how to start stockpiling on City...

    2 FTs. 2.2 million ITB.

I've got the same front 3 and dropping any of them for aguero seems madness. My logic is actually shifting towards dropping suarez if city are given a 2nd double gameweek as his greatest value is as a captain. If you're not going to captain suarez more often than not then I think aguero perhaps gets the nod.

Aguero is a fly in the ointment. It will have to be Ade who I drop for him with Studge's form and I'll have to find another couple mil from somewhere along with finding cash for Kompany perhaps and others.

That is unless I go down the Suarez route which is just too scary atm

Janu to P.Hernandez with the free and keep him on the bench for this week but will give you a good 4th mid for GW28 as Swans play CP at home? Will still give you 2 frees going into 28 to plan for all the blanks we will learn about for 29...

Yeah could be a decent shout. I like Hernandez and Swansea are getting their players back but the possible blank and the fact GW29 is away to Arsenal is putting me off.

        Palace - Puncheon/Ince is tempting

Yeah but you have to make a transfer this week and you are completely sorted for the upcoming GW. May well do something with GW28 in mind and this move would allow you to comfortably bench Mata for that blank. Could then have flexibility of using both with GW29 in mind as you will seemingly be well off for GW28.

Again as mentioned below as your 5th mid and will only need to play in GW28 while Mata is on the bench Swans have a good fixture and a mid in a similar price bracket to Janu. Seems the best option to me as brittle as Pablo may be.

Yeah it does. Cheers mate. I'll have a look at his stats since coming back and I'll see how he plays on Sunday. With his history he'll probably get injured anyway.

I do have 4 potentially benched atm for GW28 so I need to get a shifty. Tempted to keep Mata and probably Silva if it's only one blank.

But it will be your 5th mid and likely only start in GW28. Swans home to CP or Norwich away to Villa. I suppose depending on GW29 news you may have to play this lad again then. Either way, a good problem to have. You are in good shape, I wish I could say the same for my bunch.

    I have Dzeko - Suarez - Sturridge!

So am I hoping for Man City to win so that I could do Dzeko --> Adebayor (either now or next GW) so that Man City would be likely to have blanks in both GW28 and GW29, whereas if Chelsea win then Chelsea would have a GW29 blank (is this true???) and because Chelsea play Spurs on GW29 then Spurs would have a blank as well?

The fixture mixture really gives me a headache! 😀
