It’s time to assess the progress of our Fantasy Football Scout leagues across a variety of games this evening. With leagues in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL), Sky Sports, Sun Dream Team and Champions League games, we have plenty to analyse:

Fantasy Premier League

Michael Atkins is not only the new Scout league leader, he has moved to number one in the overall rankings after a 74-point haul in Gameweek 26 took his tally to 1,795 points. Whilst many were affected by the postponement of Everton’s clash with Palace and City’s home showdown against Sunderland, Michael was able to field a full XI – up front, Liverpool pair Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge were joined by Tottenham’s in-form Emmanuel Adebayor, whilst the likes of Cardiff stopper David Marshall, Per Mertesacker, Nathan Baker and Adam Lallana all produced for Michael’s side, β€œNo_Way_Jose”.

Luke Weston drops to second in the Scout League and second overall after a 46-point haul last time around. Reduced to 10 starters in Gameweek 26, he also had Liverpool’s β€œSAS” leading the line, while Artur Boruc and Ron Vlaar both produced bonus points and clean sheets – Luke moves to 1,786 points overall and has now been inside the top 10 since Gameweek 13.

In third spot is Luke van Lelyveld, who is also first in the FFS Members league. He racked up an impressive 68 points in Gameweek 26 despite being reduced to nine players – Suarez, Sturridge and Adebayor lead the line, whilst the likes of Lallana, Mertesacker, Vlaar and Luke Shaw were all key for Luke, who is now in fourth spot in the overall rankings on 1,764 points.

Christov Davies takes fourth position in the Scout League. A score of 76 points was higher than any of our top five in the previous Gameweek – he managed to field XI players, with Suarez, Sturridge and Lallana joined by a triple up on Arsenal’s defence (Mertesacker, Wojciech Szczesny and Bacary Sagna), whilst Branislav Ivanovic and Jose Fonte both delivered double figure hauls from the back. Up to seventh overall, Cristov sits on 1,758 points.

Our top five is completed by Sam Coles, who slips down despite scoring 70 points in Gameweek 26. Another one to opt for Suarez and Sturridge, he also has Lallana, Ivanovic, Marshall and Laurent Koscielny to thank for his lofty position – Sam sits in eighth spot overall on 1,754 points.

Intriguingly, for all the talk of template squads, our featured quintet have just three players in common with 12 Gameweeks remaining – Suarez, Sturridge and Eden Hazard. Thanks to the extraordinary endeavours of our top five, Fantasy Football Scout remain top of the League of Leagues. To join up, the league code is 1580-1106

In the Fantasy Football Scout Members League, Luke Van Lelyveld has a 31-point advantage over second-placed Jono McPhillips, with Joe Wilkinson a further 11 points behind Jono on 1,722 points overall.

Sky Sports Fantasy Football

Dammy Olubokun continues to lead the way. Both his teams share first spot on 1,846 points – he has a healthy lead on his nearest challenger, Garry Wheeler, who is further back on 1,790 points. Dammy’s teams are placed in second spot overall, just eight points off the summit, whilst Garry joins him in the top 10 in seventh spot. The winner of our Sky league, which is also top in the league of leagues, wins Β£1,000.

The Sun Dream Team

Geoff Pryor leads the way on 1,500 points, with his tactic of doubling up on both Chelsea’s defence and midfield helping him to 19th spot overall. Geoff has a 39-point lead over Charles Mouzon, who sits second in the Scout League – the pair are far ahead of the chasing pack, where third-placed Dan Ward is a further 99 points behind Charles on 1,362 points. The winner of our Sun league also picks up Β£1,000.

Champions League

With just a couple of games played in the Last 16 knockout stages last night, Diegocho33 remains at the top of the Scout League on 515 points and, after racking up 28 points on Tuesday evening, he moved to number one in the overall rankings. Pavel123 is second in the Scout League (and 13th overall) on 497 points, whilst Tankax is nine points further behind in third. To join, visit the UEFA website – league name: FFScout, code: 1209685-489925

Fantasy Football Scout Cup

The Fantasy Football Scout Cup VIII, as sponsored by Paddy Power, was won by Tdubb05 last month, who defeated Ajax in the final. Entry for the Scout Cup IX and Members Cup IV is already underway – the qualifying round is Gameweek 27 and further information on how to take part can be found here.

Ultimate Fantasy Premier League

As most of you will know by now, the FPL also released a Beta version of their new game in preparation for next season. There’s been plenty of talk surrounding the game on the boards and we plan to look at it in detail in an upcoming article – for now, we’ve set up a league for those who are planning to get involved – the code is: 1305-459

Riddle me this, which defense is tougher at the moment, Whu's or Nor's. Your inpur will decide whether I play Lallana or Ade this week.

I'd play Lallana and Adebayor regardless of their opposition. That said, West Ham defence is better.

Hard to tell. Eriksen played in both in the group stages right? Don't really know if he's out of favour or not. Bit harsh on him if he is.

Eriksen usually played a lot in the group stages because he didn't play in the league under AVB. I'm hoping for an Eriksen cameo or 60 minutes. If he gets 90 I'm seriously considering selling.

Tempted to swap Giroud for Adebayor.. no real problems in my team apart from him .. The only good thing about him was his nailed on-ness.. not so sure anymore... team is
    Boruc (Davis)
    Ivanovic Koscielny Ward (Bardsley Olsson)
    Silva Hazard Mata Lallana (Mirallas)
    Suarez Sturridge Giroud
    1 FT
    0.0 in bank

its all a bit speculative, though the more pressing fact is you can't go into GW29 with 0 strikers, so Giroud is as good as any for the chop. Silva is next on the block.

    bottom of last page

    Boruc - Davis
    Ward - MOlsson - Chester - Azpi - Demel**
    Haz - Yaya*** - Mata* - Lallana - Colback***
    Suarez** - RVP - Sturridge**

    1 FT, 0.2m

    *GW28 blank
    **GW29 blank (Demel likely)

GW27: did Williamson > MOlsson with my 2nd FT

GW28: Yaya + Colback > Ince/Snoddy/Paulinho/Nolan (depending on FA Cup) + Noone with both my FTs and play a 4-4-2

GW29: save and play a 4-5-1 so I can have 2 FTs to work with again (to help plan ahead for DGWs and bring in Mannone for Davis)

    thoughts?

Well, I guess I'd say you're heavily invested in Manchester United, for good or bad, but then you knew that. So fortune kind of swings with the team in large part. Good planning though, injuries et al permitting.

Looks like a decent plan, although it'll be a shame to lose Yaya, as you'll most likely want him back for the three DGWs.

Might be best saving your second FT and waititng to see if the Hull/Wham game will be on.

So tempted to do Tekkers -> Ade this week but could easily backfire. Seems sideways.

Also defensive replacement options for Evans? Wouldn't mind saving cash keeping a certain Kun in mind for ze future. Chambers jumps out to me or alternatively a Demel/Collins/Cardiff defender.

As a Chelsea fan I can tell you some inside info.

      1) Cole has been benched for a long time now, will soon get a game to remain match fit.
      2) Azpi made some mistakes against City in Fa cup (probably due to fatigue as been playing 3 days and is an amazing player when on form), so a rest incoming is imminent.
      3) With all that being said, Chelsea did rest this whole week, so take what I said above at your discretion.

Hope I confused your decision enough πŸ™‚

Terry is the only one who will play every PL minute in this hectic schedule in my opinion. You should've seen Mou's face in his latest press conference when discussing Terry's situation. (hint, he was very annoyed at the medical stuff for pushing back terry's return date every game, but will finally be available against everton)

think you'll have to take a hit along the way to oust Adrian for Boruc (maybe?)

      -GW27, save your FT
      -then pre-GW28 do Adrian + Tekkers + SIlva > Boruc + Ade + Paulinho/Nolan (if Brighton win)/Ince/Snoddy, basically whatever you fancy (-4)
      -then save pre-GW29

or could do the Adrian > Boruc keeper swap in GW if you fancy Soton for a CS over West Ham and then do the hit anyways in GW28 for the double transfer previously mentioned

this way you can field a strong 11 in GW28 (and a single hit will be common that GW I think)
and you can field a good 4-5-1 in GW29 without a transfer (where fielding 11 will be a bit uncommon) and then have 2 FT to navigate the DGWs and start prepping for them pre-GW30

Have you used Tor browser? Wanna know if it's ok to set up a proxy IP on it on a tablet and if changing proxy settings are only for that browser, that there's absolutely no risk of fecking up the tablet ?

Android. I just wanna proxy IP I can use on a browser rather than instal on a tablet or PC, that won't slow it down to fk. Wanna use the BBC player and maybe some US players, ESPN, if they have one, TNT etc.

I'm a bit sceptical about this Tor thingamajigger. It's all hiding your ID but I can't help but be paranoid and think some spyware is going down somewhere. If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck but it's free on the net it's usually a rabbit.

Fantasy Football Scout daily hot topic

    Your mini-leagues

With 12 more gameweeks to go your mini-leagues are taking shape. The likely winners - hopefully yourselves- are at or near the top. But there is still enough time with good double gameweek planning for those in mid table to make a meteoric rise to glory.

Where are you in your key mini leagues? How much cash is at stake for the winner? What is your strategy to hang on to your lead/claim a lead?

I was trailing by 96 points 5 weeks ago. Now I've narrowed the gap down to 18 points and I'm feeling confident. Think I'll try to keep the hits to a moderate amount, 1-3 hits to cover for the blanks and the doubles. 500€ at stake.

That's a huge prize. Good luck. Clawing back that gap in points over five weeks shows that I still think anyone who is around 100 pts off their mini league leader is in with a chance.

I'm second in my mini-league making the right moves but my opponent is jammier than my grans sandwiches. He just ditched Suarez last week. hopefully he will pay for that mistake.

20 bucks a piece for the league. so around 200 for the winner.

Strategy is to just keep going the way I'm going and his luck should run out. Else he will prove himself a shrewd fantasy manager πŸ™

In the one i am mist interested in i am in 4 th with around 100 points seperating me from first. But i consider that achievable since i already made up around 100 points in 3 weeks. GW 28 and 29 are going to be crucial. If you ask me that is the best time to seperate men from boys.

After that most teams are going to be pretty similar considering all the DGWs. Then correct Captaincy would be the only solution.

No MLs for the past 2 seasons. They got sick of me winning the iPad in the free competition.
Aim is to win the Mods League now. πŸ˜†

I'm top by about 20 points with a £300(ish) pot. 2nd was cruising until their January wildcard demolished their team.

I'm feeling slightly confident (advice on here helps), but I'm worried about the impending blanks.

Sounds impressive till you hear what a shambles it is, 2 yes 2 people this year have taken 20+pt hits mistakenly thinking they'd activated wildcards! Shambles

In my key mini-league I'm reigning champ and I've been leading all year until this GW. I am just 11 points behind though, so I'm not worried and I'll just keep doing what I do and play for the points, not offering a thought to my opponents team (for now.)

About 600£ to the winner, winner-takes-all league.

I am also in one with no money prizes... it was really close in that one last season, and it was in this season as well, but he's REALLY taken off and gone from 60,000th to 260th OR in just the last 8 weeks... it's not impossible that he slips up big time, but it's hard to believe I'll catch up.

Then one I really wanna win is the one called Overall. Strangely dont remember joining this one as it's my first season playing I'm still learning new things every day.

Looking at the last 5 gameweeks, the leader is beating me by 5 points. Surely, he can't keep this up, and the comeback is on now for me πŸ˜‰

I joined the Who Wants To Be A Millionaire league and am stone wall last. 63 out of 63 to be exact.
My only goal is to not be last at the end of the season. :):

An interesting stat in that league, opened by a member here I believe, is that currently lying in first and second place are two girls. !!
      .
The only two girls in the league looking through the names. Quite uncanny.

Managed to cut the defecit from 100 plus points off the leader and 7th to 60 points off and 4th. Hopefully I can work some form of strategy around the upcoming doubles, because I have literally no idea what to do other then save the transfer this week!

A gentleman's bet of £10 each, winner takes all from 15 of us. Of course the winner gets the first round of drinks...

I plan to invest heavily for the DGWs in the hope of extending my lead. πŸ™‚

Unlike many on here, I am not in any money mini-leagues - I play FPL for the intellectual challenge rather than for easy prizes, although if I did come close to winning a prize then that would be nice too. So I tend to enter interesting looking leagues and ones where I expect the competition to be fairly strong (such as The Opening Day League and Top 10,000 Any Season). It is nice to do well in these, but my main objective is to get the highest possible Overall Ranking in the longer term - if I can do that then my positions in most of the mini-leagues should also benefit. I avoid head-to-head leagues because they tend to require short-term thinking at the expense of longer-term planning (for example, tripling up on defenders might work well in the longer term or in single-week dream team competitions, but would be a dangerous strategy in a head-to-head league). Cup competitions can be fun, but most of my decisions are not affected by what my rivals are doing.

Is there anyone out there kind enough (or bored enough) to explain the gwk 28/29 situation to me. I am entirely out of the loop, completely lost with what is going on!

What players are people getting rid of/keeping etc.

This is normally a situation where I take full advantage in all my mini leagues but now I am nothing but a mere casual without a clue! πŸ™‚

Anyone care to throw me a bone?

    My squad is:

    Boruc Davis
    Coleman Koscielny Cahill Turner Gabbidon
    Yaya Mata Hazard Mirallas Puncheon
    Suarez Sturridge Adebayor
