It’s time to assess the progress of our Fantasy Football Scout leagues across a variety of games this evening. With leagues in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL), Sky Sports, Sun Dream Team and Champions League games, we have plenty to analyse:

Fantasy Premier League

Michael Atkins is not only the new Scout league leader, he has moved to number one in the overall rankings after a 74-point haul in Gameweek 26 took his tally to 1,795 points. Whilst many were affected by the postponement of Everton’s clash with Palace and City’s home showdown against Sunderland, Michael was able to field a full XI – up front, Liverpool pair Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge were joined by Tottenham’s in-form Emmanuel Adebayor, whilst the likes of Cardiff stopper David Marshall, Per Mertesacker, Nathan Baker and Adam Lallana all produced for Michael’s side, “No_Way_Jose”.

Luke Weston drops to second in the Scout League and second overall after a 46-point haul last time around. Reduced to 10 starters in Gameweek 26, he also had Liverpool’s “SAS” leading the line, while Artur Boruc and Ron Vlaar both produced bonus points and clean sheets – Luke moves to 1,786 points overall and has now been inside the top 10 since Gameweek 13.

In third spot is Luke van Lelyveld, who is also first in the FFS Members league. He racked up an impressive 68 points in Gameweek 26 despite being reduced to nine players – Suarez, Sturridge and Adebayor lead the line, whilst the likes of Lallana, Mertesacker, Vlaar and Luke Shaw were all key for Luke, who is now in fourth spot in the overall rankings on 1,764 points.

Christov Davies takes fourth position in the Scout League. A score of 76 points was higher than any of our top five in the previous Gameweek – he managed to field XI players, with Suarez, Sturridge and Lallana joined by a triple up on Arsenal’s defence (Mertesacker, Wojciech Szczesny and Bacary Sagna), whilst Branislav Ivanovic and Jose Fonte both delivered double figure hauls from the back. Up to seventh overall, Cristov sits on 1,758 points.

Our top five is completed by Sam Coles, who slips down despite scoring 70 points in Gameweek 26. Another one to opt for Suarez and Sturridge, he also has Lallana, Ivanovic, Marshall and Laurent Koscielny to thank for his lofty position – Sam sits in eighth spot overall on 1,754 points.

Intriguingly, for all the talk of template squads, our featured quintet have just three players in common with 12 Gameweeks remaining – Suarez, Sturridge and Eden Hazard. Thanks to the extraordinary endeavours of our top five, Fantasy Football Scout remain top of the League of Leagues. To join up, the league code is 1580-1106

In the Fantasy Football Scout Members League, Luke Van Lelyveld has a 31-point advantage over second-placed Jono McPhillips, with Joe Wilkinson a further 11 points behind Jono on 1,722 points overall.

Sky Sports Fantasy Football

Dammy Olubokun continues to lead the way. Both his teams share first spot on 1,846 points – he has a healthy lead on his nearest challenger, Garry Wheeler, who is further back on 1,790 points. Dammy’s teams are placed in second spot overall, just eight points off the summit, whilst Garry joins him in the top 10 in seventh spot. The winner of our Sky league, which is also top in the league of leagues, wins £1,000.

The Sun Dream Team

Geoff Pryor leads the way on 1,500 points, with his tactic of doubling up on both Chelsea’s defence and midfield helping him to 19th spot overall. Geoff has a 39-point lead over Charles Mouzon, who sits second in the Scout League – the pair are far ahead of the chasing pack, where third-placed Dan Ward is a further 99 points behind Charles on 1,362 points. The winner of our Sun league also picks up £1,000.

Champions League

With just a couple of games played in the Last 16 knockout stages last night, Diegocho33 remains at the top of the Scout League on 515 points and, after racking up 28 points on Tuesday evening, he moved to number one in the overall rankings. Pavel123 is second in the Scout League (and 13th overall) on 497 points, whilst Tankax is nine points further behind in third. To join, visit the UEFA website – league name: FFScout, code: 1209685-489925

Fantasy Football Scout Cup

The Fantasy Football Scout Cup VIII, as sponsored by Paddy Power, was won by Tdubb05 last month, who defeated Ajax in the final. Entry for the Scout Cup IX and Members Cup IV is already underway – the qualifying round is Gameweek 27 and further information on how to take part can be found here.

Ultimate Fantasy Premier League

As most of you will know by now, the FPL also released a Beta version of their new game in preparation for next season. There’s been plenty of talk surrounding the game on the boards and we plan to look at it in detail in an upcoming article – for now, we’ve set up a league for those who are planning to get involved – the code is: 1305-459

So I have 2 FTs and would like to use one this week but I don't think there's any improvements I could make to my team. Any ideas?

    Mannone Adrian
    Azpi Kosc Coleman Yoshida Olsson
    Hazard Mata Silva Lallana Puncheon
    Suarez Adebayor Sturridge

You may not have any playing GK in GW29 if Hull beats Brighton in FA Cup. Perhaps move one Adrian to another GK.

Yeah you're right. Problem is both my GKs are valued at 4.3 in my team. So with 0.3 in the bank that rules out Boruc, Foster, Marshall etc

Nothing will improve it that I can see but there is a reasonable chance you will have no GK GW29

If you change one this week, then you only need to make 2 more changes before GW29 meaning you can play 11 and take 2 FT through to fix up and bring in DGW players in GW30

Difficult as both Mannone and Adrian in great form but Boruc pretty handy as well

I'd say lose AJ as Bruce has Cardiff which seems to be one of the best fixtures for a cheap def this week. Who for is anyone's guess, perhaps Adam if you're keeping SS through GW29.

Maybe AJ for Ince? Could be a good shout with fixtures upcoming and give you a good rotating partner with Noone in the future if push comes to shove and you need to spend your banked funds elsewhere. Can't say I love this advice but the only thing I can think of given your current circumstance.

Fair play - if you are pleased playing Noone this weekend then you might as well keep AJ on the bench and shift Bruce for someone in the same price range but nailed so that you don't lose the FT and strengthen your depth.

You can sort out the AJ and Mata blanks in 28 with 2 fts then.

After much planning with a few to future gameweeks, I have concluded that these are the only viable transfers for me this week (I have to make one as i have 2FT saved up):

Eriksen out (good fixture, and has a game in GW29)
Sagna out (good fixture this week)
Figueroa out (only brought him in last week, Hull might still have a GW29 fixture)
Fabio out (will help me get 11 out in GW29)

so after all this, Fabio to a defender playing in GW29 is my only option?

Goodmorning everyone. Haven't tinkered with my team at all since the last set of games, looking at it now, I obviously have to make a few changes to field a decent set by the time the blanks approach.

    A couple of questions.

    A) Would you sell AJ and play his replacement - or - Bench AJ, save FT and play Noone (HUL)?
............Problem with this is I want AJ out next week anyway, and I'm not too keen on playing him this week either so I'm thinking I might as well get him out now.

    B) If you are selling AJ, then who would you suggest getting in?

Keep AJ - save - start Noone. Nobody in his price bracket at midfield are a really good option so you would do well to start Noone in a great fixture and reassess what to do with AJ next week when things may appear clearer and we may have a better idea of when some games will be scheduled that we don't yet know about.

I'm pretty sure that Toure is going to be benched after a dismal couple of weeks, and with Eriksen and Dzeko both being a rotation risk should I look to use my FT to ditch Gnabry?

I dunno if he could sit on the bench, he could play imho....but not getting another proven striker at the transfer deadline cost the gunners a real shot at the league title and a deep run in CL.

GW36 (EVE - mun) and GW38 (ARS - MUN) are thw only two that let it down. The only thing putting me off those two is they both have good fixtures at the same time, which will make trying to pick which one to play a nightmare

    Current team:

    Adrian, KD
    Kosc, Jagielka, Chambers, Gabbi, Burner
    Haz, Silva, Mata, Gerrard, Colback
    Suarez, RVP, Dzeko

    I'm saving FT and thinking:

Silva, Dzeko --> Lallana, Adeba next week for free. (bench RVP, Mata, Colback)
Kosc --> Azpi the week after. (bench Suarez, Gerrard, Colback)

If I were to take any hit(s), what would be most wise to do?

Not sure you need to take a hit, that seems like a good plan. I'd try to get rid of Gabbidon at some point (Gabbidon to Scott Dann was my sexy transfer last week), but I think you can stave off the -4 for now.

If definitely seems a lot more in depth. I think I'm definitely more likely to get bored of the constant tinkering as the simplicity of FPL is what I enjoy.

IS there a captains loophole in ultimate?

You set your capt and vice capt to two players playing on the Saturday, your vice capt gets a big score but your capt dosent. Substitute out your capt for a non playing capt who is playing on the Sunday.
He won't play and will be subbed off when they do the automatics at the end of round leaving your vice capt with a big haul.

Feasible or do the rules prevent this?

Just re read all the rules for ultimate and just realised I'm an idiot (not news to you guys)

Only just realised all the point scoring is different (thought it was the same)
Only just realised there 4 transfers weeks one and two and unlimited in round 3
Only just realised there are no automatic subs after you change a player , so no capt loophole

Looking at an SAS forward line from GW30 onwards, which means I can go with a midfield of 2 big hitters, 2 midpriced and 1 cheapo. So which 2 big hitters would you go for out of:

cazorla at 9.6 is not worth it
    ramsey is injured

giroud has fallen out with wenger
ozil missed a penalty against munich last night

    Boruc - Davis
    Ward - MOlsson - Chester - Azpi - Demel**
    Haz - Yaya*** - Mata* - Lallana - Colback***
    Suarez** - RVP - Sturridge**

    1 FT, 0.0m

    *GW28 blank
    **GW29 blank (Demel likely)

GW27: did Williamson > MOlsson with my 2nd FT

    GW28: Yaya + Colback > Ince/Snodgrass/Paulinho/Nolan (depending) + Noone with both my FTs and play a 4-4-2

GW29: save and play a 4-5-1 so I can have 2 FTs to work with again (to help plan ahead for DGWs and bring in Mannone for Davis)

    thoughts?
