We bring you the draws for the First Round of the Fantasy Football Scout Cup IX and FFS Members Cup IV, as sponsored by Paddy Power, after the qualifying rounds for both competitions took place over Gameweek 27:

First of all, entrants with a score of 56 points or more have earned a spot in the First Round of the Fantasy Football Scout Cup IX. If you scored 55 points, it was then down to overall rank to decide whether you progressed.

Our defending champion, Tdubb05, gets his title defence underway against stocherilac this weekend. Looking at some of the other previous winners, Jonty plays djt, MCH is up against Jambo 17, Donnellyc has cflanesra, Wild Rover goes head-to-head with Chobber Slops FC, whilst Gooner Dave has been drawn against JW.

Some of the plum ties amongst the community include Chu Young Ping Pong v Acquafresca, Bubbles against Yes the Sess! and Accounting on Chris v Attila the Bum.

Four of the current top 100 Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers are in the hat for this weekend’s matches. Gambiteer, Justoutsidethemoney and Forbes are amongst those high-fliers as is world number two Tom Fenley, whose opponent, Alistair, currently sits around the 23,000-mark.

If you’ve qualified or just fancy a nosey, click here to view the full First Round Draw.

Entrants with a score of 58 points or more will have made their way into the First Round of the Fantasy Football Scout Members Cup IV. If you scored 57 points, it was then down to overall rank to decide whether you progressed.

Defending champion Acquafresca is up against Caladan Brood, whilst another former winner, Fuzzy Dunlop, goes head-to-head with The EJJ in Gameweek 28.

Amongst the notable community match ups, contributors Big Dunc and In Tommy We Trust face up to EpicFail and Chu Young Ping Pong respectively, whilst Dino’s clash with Bootsy and Thomass67 against Absinthe also catch the eye.

Once again, Tom Fenley is the manager to avoid in this cup. This time, he’s up against tmidrew who, with a rank inside the top 4,000, will fancy his chances of causing an upset. You can click here to view the First Round Draw.

For a list of the prizes and dates of each round, check out this initial article. As always, good luck to all those involved.

It's got to that very uncomfortable situation where you can't take out players with a game in 29, or players without a game as they have a dgw upcoming.

He didn't really say that change needs to be made an attitudes have to improve, it looked like he went out there and said what he thought was expected of him without actually caring.

Indeed, it must be a pretty awful situation considering Carrick, you would think, is one of the leaders in that squad.

That just showed me what's up with utd. Carricks a wimp. Rio and vidic are gone so they don't give a crap. Rvp also looks disinterested. So in short we haven't one player apart from maybe Rooney who will stand up and be counted

Get upset about an insipid performance, but it's pretty ridiculous to get upset about an interview. People articulate in completely different ways, it has nothing to do with his football.

As above...and just on the subject of attitude. Some of the best moments for me in the prem this season involved Suarez and Gerrard in the" joi de vivre" shown by Liverpool during matches this season...Namely, when Suarez tried, on two occasions, to tee up both Sterling and then Flanagan for goals instead of taking the opportunity himself in back to back games...and then Gerrard giving up the pen for Sturridge's doomed hat trick attempt. How far away from that sort of team work are United...a long, long way behind I think...

I should point out that I'm not a Liverpool supporter, but they are enjoying this season as a team more than anyone else, and I'd say they deserve to. The defense is doing no master classes, but they're performing amazingly on the attacking side and putting on great games for spectators.

United should just experiment with the rest of the season. Go 3-5-2, there's no reliable right back so leave him out. Shove Evra left wing, he's produced more from LB than most who've had a go out there. Carrick & The Big Wig in the middle, Kagawa / Mata behind RVP and Rooney.

And that performance is why i dont and wont own any United players, yet you critize anyone at the club and you get scrutinized for it.

You tell me that value for money and possible future performances that anyone at united is a good option and you need your eyes testing.

Waiting for the 'mata has potential' an 'rooney has scored this amount of points while not realising that different combos of other players will score you more points.

Yeah 100% agree. Much better options in the dgw squads than in the gw 29 squads. Just cannot bring myself (at the moment) bringing in players with no games. At least I have definite casualties in Dzeko and now Cissokho that at least take care of who will be coming out.

I'd rather go with the doubles in GW31, now we know there are three at least, a full or near full team of dbles has to be better than finding an extra 2/3 for 29.

Decisions I have to make for dgw 31:

    A) Play Mannone or Adrian
    B) Flannagan & Hazard or Skrtel & Gerrard
    C) Captain Aguero or Sturridge
    D) Take an extra hit to get in a cheap Dgw defender (Figueora) for a non playing defender.

    Any thoughts?

    Boruc/Davis
    Kos/Coleman/Chester/Ward/Chambers
    Mata/Hazzy/Mirallas/Sterling/Noone
    RVP/Studge/Suarez

    2FT WC still

    Kos> Ivanovic
    Mirallas> Ince
    Chester> Azpil

    Giving me 10 for GW29

5 DGWers for GW31, if Palace have a DGW 7 DGWers + 2 more DGWers using 2 FT.

Where do United go from here..who do they sign as realistic options other than the fans wish list, which may or may not be realistic...any hidden gems they could snap up ?...I'd go Ron Vlaar to plug a very big hole opening up at the back to start..

All of Europe has seen what's happened, they need to get rid of the dead weight and sign youth and potential, reduce the wage bill and their debt.

Oh and in my opinion, not bashing, Moyes should leave, a philosophy and long term plan put in place and a tactically astute manager hired, one who can properly motivate the men at his disposal.

Depends on whether Moyes is still here or not. And if not, whether his replacement is a big enough name to attract players to a club without European football, Moyes certainly isn't.

Are you sure? Moyes is used to signing players who aren't bothered by non european football

The important thing is to sell at least 5 or 6 players from the 'old era'. These guys no longer have the enthusiasm to be United players.

I posted a few months ago about that stupid sign at Anfield in the tunnel..you know the one "this is Anfield"...they should have got rid of it years ago and replaced it with "this was Anfield"...forget the past and move on, and now they have...Well Giggs is the "This is Old Trafford" equivalent...

In all fairness mate, better clubs (not saying bigger) will be in for them, it happened to Liverpool and fair warning to you it's could potentially be a painful ride. Wake up and smell the coffee, but never, ever lose hope. 😉

Are a lot of those names not soccer mercenaries though ?...United's recent success has come from a bed rock of loyalty from the youth squad of the early nineties...same for Barca..They sign a lot of big names in the mean time but ultimately it's the loyalty at the core that inspires the attitude..not the big money signings..
