We roll out our player picks for PlayON, the weekly Fantasy Football game, as always this Friday lunchtime. We’re on the lookout for potential bargains in our assessment of this week’s PlayON Price List as we look to navigate the fixture schedule, with just eight Premier League matches set to take place this weekend:

This week PlayON have two special offers: 1) A Facebook competition where you can £25 FREE CREDIT – enter here and 2) a FREE ENTRY, £250 POT game – enter on the multiplayer page on the site .

If you’re new to PlayON, it is weekly Fantasy Football so you can dip in and out of playing throughout the season. Once your starting XI is built you can compete for cash.

Similarly, you can challenge other players to one-on-one games, selecting the amount at stake. The likes of Robbie Fowler, Les Ferdinand and OptaJoe are all playing the game and are there to be challenged for free or for £1. The Fantasy Football Scout team is also available to be challenged and has a 52% win rate up to this point. You can also create an open challenge against anyone else on the site – just click the amount you want to play for and the number of slots (number of people who can accept your challenge) on the one-on-one page .

For a more in-depth introduction to PlayON, take a look at this season’s introduction article.

Goalkeeper – Michel Vorm
In a season blighted by injury, the Swansea keeper has still managed to impress in front of his own fans. Vorm has registered a clean sheet in each of his last four home appearances and could well be set to extend that record this weekend – visitors Crystal Palace have failed to score in their last three road trips. Priced at just 7.2m, the Swans number one looks great value this weekend. Hull’s Allan McGregor also remains in the budget bracket. Back after a three-game suspension last week, the Scot chalked up a clean sheet away to Cardiff – at 7.7m, he entertains a Newcastle side that have scored in two of their last nine league matches. Villa’s Brad Guzan is available for 8.3m ahead of a home clash with Norwich. Given that the Canaries have scored three times in the last seven, a shut-out for Paul Lambert’s side looks promising.

Defender – Seamus Coleman
Everton’s free-scoring right-back comes in at just 8.4m ahead of tomorrow’s home encounter with West Ham. Coleman has racked up the Fantasy points at Goodison Park – he’s found the net in three of his last five appearances on Merseyside and his raids down the flank are sure to pose Big Sam’s side plenty of problems. Liverpool’s fit-again Glen Johnson is a bargain-basement 7.4m for the trip to Southampton, whilst Newcastle’s Paul Dummett is priced at 8.2m for the visit to Hull. Handed corner kicks in the Magpies’ previous match, he’s expected to retain the left-back berth, with Davide Santon remaining on the sidelines due to a knee problem.

Midfielder – Pablo Hernandez
Available for 8.3m, the Swansea playmaker has proven his fitness after another spell on the sidelines with a hamstring injury. Hernandez has returned in impressive form, too, with a trio of assists in as many matches, and may benefit from a central role once again as the Swans look to continue the attacking form which has produced seven goals in three matches under Garry Monk. Having shrugged off the thigh injury that kept him out of last week’s 4-1 win over Sunderland, Mesut Ozil is priced at 8.8m for Arsenal’s trip to Stoke, with the Gunners looking to build on that Black Cats hammering. Further down the price brackets, you can pick up Norwich’s Nathan Redmond for 8.3m – while Robert Snodgrass has garnered most of the attention ahead of the trip to Aston Villa, his fellow wide man could prove decisive for the Canaries.

Forward – Romelu Lukaku
Finally recovered from an ankle injury, the Everton frontman is priced at a mere 9.4m for the visit of West Ham. Lukaku has already posed his opponents problems this season – he notched the winner on his debut back in September and his physical presence up top is set to hand the Hammers’ in-form defence a stern test on Saturday. If you reckon Sam Allardyce’s side will breach the Toffees backline, Andy Carroll, at 9.8m, could be worth considering as a cheap forward. Back after a three-game suspension, he’s likely to take his place up top as the visitors attempt to chalk up a fifth successive win. Palace’s Glenn Murray was handed his first start of the season last weekend after recovering from a long-term knee injury – at 9.3m, he’ll be hoping to open his account at Swansea.

Get Azpi now or Man City defender (most likely Kolarov) for GW30? Kolarov would have one more game than Azpi if I get Azpi for this GW. That´s my dilemma at the moment. Figure Kolarov plays against the easier opponents, and is certainly a bigger goal threat. It´s just that Azpi might get more minutes even if Kolarov potentially has one more game in hand. What would you do?

I would anyway get either one of them for a player who doesn´t have a game in GW29. Otherwise I would just play my current player (Bruce or Kosc) in GW29 and not have the dilemma as then Kolarov would have two more games than Azpi... you know... because either Bruce or Kosc don´t play in GW29 haha! Is this comprehensible?!? 😀

so you probably have a chelsea def already... could double up though, they´ve got good fixtures and it seems like they´ve finally found decent defensive form... then again Kolarov could be great for city´s DGWs... and he´s attacking minded... don´t know 😀

Yup. I think I will transfer him out, it's very likely that he only plays one game in the DGW. Need Olsson for 29 and then he will become a DGW player, simple 🙂

    Norwich FPL Update

The next six gameweeks will make or break our season, and the perfect time for investment in canary assets. So who should you buy? and who should you avoid?

Most success has arrived using a 4-5-1 system with either Hooper or RVW up top. With so many better options, especially with the DGW's, investment on either is risky to say the less, avoid.

Ruddy, minus the error at West Ham, has been in fine form in 2014 and will also accrue save points along the way. However, other cheaper options are avaliable for similar overall value, namely Boruc. So again, avoid.

Investment in the defence is the logical step. Hughtons 'safety first' approach is evident by the last four home games; 1-0, 0-0, 0-0, and 1-0 (Hull, New, Man C, Tott). A settled backline of R Martin, Yobo, Bassong, and M Olsson has appeared with no changes looking likely in the next 3-4 weeks. M Turner is likely out for another 4-5 weeks and R Bennett will have to settle for a place on the bench once back from injury. The cheapest of the lot, M Olsson at 4.3 is a no-brainer, buy.

Midfield. Alot of debate recently about whether to buy Robert Snodgrass or not. Quite frankly, he's had an extremely dissapointing season culminating with an on-pitch argument with the fans a game ago. However, he's Hughtons number one pick and will always start. The finish againsf Tottenham was a worthy match-winner and will hopefully ignite his form from last year. He's on 90% of FK's and corners and under the 4-5-1 will have to push up further to link up with the front man. In summary, if Norwich score a goal, you can be reasonably assured he had some part to play, buy.

Redmond is likely to start on the other flank and is great at starting a spark but like Lennon cannot provide that killer cross or shot (at this stage) but at 4.6 is a cheap squad filler. Rumours are also abound that Leroy Fer has pulled his hamstring in training and could be out for 6-10 weeks. This leaves the door open to a fit-again Johnny Howson to take the position of advanced midfielder in the centre of the park, protected by Tettey and Johnson. Good for a goal or two but with a team struggling for goals, avoid.

    Buy: Snodgrass, Olsson, (Ruddy)
    Avoid: Hooper/RVW, Fer, Whittaker (Redmond)
