Phil Jagielka is ruled out for Everton, though Romelu Lukaku returns. Davide Santon and Hatem Ben Arfa remain sidelined through injury. Arsenal welcome back Thomas Vermaelen and Mesut Ozil. Guy Demel emerges as a doubt for West Ham, whilst Sakho and Lucas return to training for Liverpool:

Roberto Martinez has confirmed that Phil Jagielka will miss the visit of West Ham after feeling his hamstring in the last couple of days. The injury is expected to see Jagielka ruled out for “a couple of weeks”. Antolin Alcaraz will vie with John Stones to replace Jagielka, with Roberto Martinez confirming the Paraguayan is fit and “working really well.” Elsewhere, Romelu Lukaku is available again to boost the Toffees’ striking options after being ineligible to face parent club Chelsea last week.

Newcastle will again be without the injured Davide Santon and Hatem Ben Arfa when they take on Hull at the weekend. The pair have knocks and won’t be available, though Sylvain Marveaux has returned and will be in contention for the Tigers clash.

Mesut Ozil is back in the squad for Arsenal’s trip to Stoke after missing last week with a thigh problem. Thomas Vermaelen also returns after injury, but Wenger has doubts over the fitness of left-backs Nacho Monreal and Kieran Gibbs, with the former coming off against Sunderland with a foot injury.

Sam Allardyce has revealed that defender Guy Demel has been struggling with illness after contracting a severe case of tonsillitis earlier in the week. The Hammers boss remains hopeful that the right-back will be fit to face Everton, having now returned to training. Meanwhile Andy Carroll is back in the squad following suspension, though January signing Marco Borriello continues to struggle with a calf problem.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has received a double boost with news that Mamadou Sakho and Lucas Leiva have both returned to full training following injuries. The trip to St Mary’s will come too soon for Lucas, whilst summer signing Sakho will be assessed before a final decision is made on his availability.

Victor Wanyama and Jos Hooiveld are the Saints only doubts – both will be assessed prior to the match, Mauricio Pochettino confirmed earlier today.

In last night’s European matches, Ben Davies recovered from a calf injury to start in Swansea’s loss to Napoli last night. Alex Pozuelo emerged from the bench to cement his comeback from a brief hip problem in the 3-1 defeat to Rafa Benitez’ side. Elsewhere in the Europa League, Sandro returned from a calf complaint to play 76 minutes in Tottenham’s 3-1 win over FC Dnipro.

norwich are averaging a crappy goal every two games for the last 10 games, theyve managed two goals or more only three times this season. i've seen nothing recently to suggest their goal per game ratio will increase.

what are you basing this on? reality or hope?

I'm basing it on the fact they have the kindest run of fixtures they have had all season. And you clearly haven't seen the stats on Snodgrass.

                      Blinded by stats *sigh*

Sometimes it's as simple as looking at the team/player and saying no.

Norwich are just that. Don't create, or score enough goals!!

it's not all about stats though.

i do agree that snoddgrass is one of the better options for these 2 gameweeks but that is mainly because the other options are so poor. if you can bring him in and transfer him out without having to take any hits and without affecting other transfers you want to do then i would say go for it, otherwise i'd save my transfer

but then again, this is just my opinion

Well yeah, I wouldn't be going for Snodgrass if it wasn't this unique situation where he is the best pick for the current fixture list. i.e. doesn't have a blank. I'd go for somebody much better if that wasn't the case!

I agree with the Snod punt.

Gameweek 29 is a bit thin on the ground for players so you can only go for the numbers, Snod might blank but then again he might score (which is not as farfetched as some of these posts are making out).

Alright geezers. The big question this GW: Snodgrass or Ince for next 3?

    Snodgrass: avl STO sot

+ Most important attacking player for Norwich (100% goal involvement in last 3 goals)
+ Team/player form + Norwich desperate for points before their tough fixtures commence
+ FPL pedigree from last season

    - Norwich don't score much
    - Not many players in his range apart from Nolan

    Ince: swa SOT sun

    + Cheaper than Snoddy
+ Seems very central to Palace's attack
+ Decent player / team form
    + Better fixtures

    - Palace may not have enough motivation to go for the kill
    - Chamakh the main attacking threat for Palace

    Thoughts?

Morning lads. Would really appreciate some help with my team

    Boruc - Mannone

    R. Bennett - Kosc - Cahill - Coleman - Ward

    Sterling - Snod - Hazard - Cazorla - Mata

    Suarez - Sturidge - Jrod

    1 FT, 1.1 ITB

Current plan is Bennett to Olson this GW, Kosc to Azpi the week after then Jrod and Cazorla to Aguero + 4.5 mid (I was thinking Ki maybe)

Does that sound good or should I sacrifice Kosc to a cheapie (Chester maybe) so that I can go big in MF?

Despite what Anelka says about the situation what I find shocking is the utter lack of respect for his club. They're struggling, he makes a gesture I'm sure he knows will cause some controversy at a time when they really do not need it. It'd be a little different if he was in any way good for them this season but he's been a major passenger.

The lack of respect with players still shocks me.

The problem is that he did not believe it would create controversy as he does not believe the quenelle is an antisemitic gesture. It's all the different interpretations of this gesture that have caused problems in France.

But he is certainly aware that such a gesture is controversial in France. I'm not saying he intended it to be offensive but that he's drawing negative press to the club doing something he knows is controversial.

He also did it because he is a friend of Dieudonné, the french comedian, and wanted to show support. But yes, I agree he shouldn't have done it during a football game as it draws negative press to the club.

    Cheeky 4 3 3 this week

    Cech
    Kos Olsson Cahill Coleman
    Noon Lallana Haz
    SaS and JRod

then a cheekier 4 5 1 the following week subbing the Pool boys and adding Parr and a Silva replacement (need more info from this weeks games before I do this)

GW30 just use the FT on a punt that week then WC time GW31. Just hope the plan holds up in terms of injuries and starting XIs.....

    GW29 - Kosc - Kolarov
    GW30 - Januzaj - Sterling
    GW31 - Lallana - Nolan & Ade - Aguero

    Plan B:

    GW29 - Save FT
    GW30 - Snodgrass - Silva

We have uncertainties about Monreal who had to come off last week with a foot injury, and about Gibbs. Vermaelen is back in the squad, Ozil is back in the squad. Both are available.

Oscar should get some decent playing time coming up due to Chelsea's fixture jam.

Problem I see in him is he seems to break down easy and isn't quite capable of dealing with a full season on a side like Chelsea. More a first half season type then use sparingly.

Is anyone with a WC left NOT using it for GW31?

I can't see why you would leave it much later as there are so few games left - it strikes me that you would not get enough of the benefit if you left it later (other than clearing out players in GW32).

Reason being is the DGW clubs in GW31 have the most popular offensive players of City and Liverpool that will probably see you through to the end - its not like you have to load up on Fulham etc.
